Prescott is who we think he is; a rock solid dual threat quarterback but not necessarily an elite fantasy quarterback.Big Ben is still fantastic and his supporting cast - contrary to popular belief - is loaded. He'll be right around the top-5, if not better.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
He may not be worth $40 million per year, but Prescott can certainly provide fantasy production. Once Amari Cooper came over from the Raiders, Prescott's fantasy output soared. Cooper is currently dealing with a foot injury that could potentially threaten his availability, and Ezekiel Elliott still hasn't reported yet. So, there are question marks with Prescott at this stage, without question. But, you don't need to spend a ton of draft capital to take him, so he's worth the risk despite those uncertainties.Roethlisberger threw the ball 675 times last year for 5,129 yards and 34 touchdowns, all easily career highs. But what happens when you take away Antonio Brown, with whom Roethlisberger had an incredible connection and without whom, Roethlisberger's efficiency dropped like a rock? The answer is that unless you buy James Washington or Donte Moncrief as the second coming, you drop him in your rankings precipitously. Roethlisberger still has plenty of skills and will almost certainly continue to exploit the right matchup, particularly at home. But without Brown, fantasy owners shouldn't come close to valuing him as a QB1. particularly since he is now 37 years old.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
He has finished as a top 12 quarterback in every season of his careeer, he has rushed for at least six rushing touchdowns in every season of his career and has been flourishing in new offensive coordinator Kellen Moore's system. The biggest thing holding back the Cowboys offense the last three seasons was not talent, it was play calling. @DavisMattek
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Prescott was the 10th ranked fantasy quarterback and he only had WR Amari Cooper for half of the season. The problem is that RB Ezekiel Elliott could miss regular season games with a holdout, which would really hurt Prescott's value early in the season.Big Ben had 5,129 yards passing, 34 passing touchdowns and he was the 3rd ranked fantasy quarterback. The loss of WR Antonio Brown will hurt his fantasy value, but Big Ben should still be a high-end QB2 with QB1 upside in favorable matchups. It speaks to the depth of the quarterback position that he is not ranked in the Top-10.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Perennial top 12 QB despite not being treated as such, was top 12 each of his first three seasons. Has been a top 12 QB in nearly half of his games which is pretty consistent actually for a QB. He was a top 5 QB once Cooper came along last season and now they have an offseason to work together. The Zeke holdout makes him a lot less trustworthy.Big Ben threw for over 5000 yards last season on a ridiculous 675 attempts, both numbers can obviously not be expected again this year, but Big Ben is a beast of a QB and I do expect the Steelers will need to pass a lot this season again. Yes, AB is gone, but Juju is an absolute beast, Vance will be more involved and one of Washington or Moncrief should be able to make some plays on the outside. Regressions is being overly accounted for, he is still a rock solid QB1 and the reason why you don't tale a QB early.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
In his first 8 games last season, Prescott had 1660 yards and 10 TDs. In his last 8, he had 2225 yards and 12 TDs. He's a safe back-end QB1 who will have some blow-up games when he finds the end zone on the ground.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If you were to tell someone that Prescott has had a nearly identical fantasy career as Drew Brees, what do you think they'd say? While it's just a three-year sample size, Prescott has posted top-five type numbers in 22.9 percent of his games, while Brees is at 23.9 percent for his career. How about just top-12 type numbers? Prescott 47.9 percent, Brees at 48.9 percent. Don't devalue Prescott in fantasy, as he's a perfectly fine starter in 12-team leagues, particularly if you're stacked everywhere elseLosing Antonio Brown won't do Roethlisberger any favors and it's not as if he was a lock to finish top-10 before then. In fact, Roethlisberger has finished inside the top 10 quarterbacks just four times in his 15-year career. You thought he had ups and downs before? He's not worth the headache and we're surprised many experts are willing to invest a top-12 quarterback selection on him
Sean Koerner
The Action Network
going to be hurt a bit by AB gone. regress from career high in pass attempts, pass TDs, rush TDs (3). don't want to overweight last year's finish. only played 16 games 4 of 15 seasons
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Over the past three seasons Dak has finished as the QB 6/11/10. This season Dak enters with arguably his best set of weapons in his career. Amari Cooper is an elite WR, Gallup should take a step forward in his second season, Zeke (probably) won't be suspended, and he has the second best projected offensive line in the league. Dak will never be amongst the league leaders in passing yardage, because that's not the way the Cowboys offense is built. Dak has made up for this decreased passing yardage with his legs. He's finished around 300 rushing yards in each of his first three seasons, but also has exactly 6 rushing TD's each year. Those rushing TD's have been the driving force behind his QB 1 finish...and are also why I can't rank him as a QB 1. Expecting a QB to finish with 6 TD's on 60-70 carries is difficult to do. I have him projected for a little over 3 TD's this season...and when you add that to his projected passing volume, it comes out to the QB 16. Had Dak finished with 3 rushing TD's last season, he would have been the QB 15 instead of the QB 10. That's the range I like him at. He's not a QB 1, but he can be in a deeper format, and he's a good QB 2 in two QB or superflex leagues.I was all in on Big Ben last season. I predicted he would lead the league in passing for the first time in his career, and I beat the drum hard for him as an under valued QB. This season though, I'll be passing. I just can't justify drafting him as the 13th QB in the 9th round. There are a million QB options this season, so spending a 9th round pick on a QB that doesn't run the ball, and just lost their top WR is a losing strategy. He could absolutely be amongst the league leaders in passing again. But the more likely scenario is that they run the ball more, he loses some efficiency, and finishes as more of a streaming option than a full time fantasy starter. He's going to win someone a million dollars one week. But he's also going to have some dumpster fire performances. It's a no for me this season.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Dak's touchdown rate has been oddly low in each of his three seasons, but he somehow has 6 rushing TDs in each of those years to make up for it. As a result, the "underwhelming" quarterback has finished top 12 at his position each year of his career. With a full season of Amari Cooper, there is no reason to expect any different.Six hundred and seventy five. That's how many pass attempts Big Ben threw in 2018. That number is going to drop, perhaps even by 100 so don't be expecting another 5,000 yards or another QB3 fantasy performance on the season. With that said, when Big Ben has been on the field, he is a consistent top 15 option so we ought to plan for much of the same even despite the decrease in volume and the loss of Antonio Brown.
