Lineups
The Ravens are going to throw the ball a lot more in 2020 - their rushing production is statistically unsustainable and it's unlikely they are playing with the lead in as many games as their schedule gets significantly harder. Lamar Jackson showed a solid chemistry with Marquise Brown last season and there is minimal competition for targets in the offense. Hollywood is a sophomore with WR1 upside who you can get as late as the 8th or 9th round in some leagues.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
I won't be drafting Marquise Brown in any leagues outside Best Ball this year. His upside is massively capped by the way the Ravens run their offense and by his style as a mostly deep threat. While he'll have some massive games, he's equally likely to score you less than five points. In fact he failed to pass 23 yards in half of his starts. You can talk about injuries and regression all you like, I'll draft a guy I may at least have a chance of feeling comfortable starting.Brandin Cooks was looking for his fifth consecutive 1000+ yard season in 2019 but instead ended up with his fifth consecutive concussion. This one kept him out for a few games but he was mostly ineffective when playing anyway, proving nothing more than a deep threat behind Woods, Kupp, Higbee and Gurley. Now in a re-modelled Texans receiving corps, Cooks will have the opportunity to fight it out with Will Fuller, Randall Cobb and Kenny Stills for targets. This offense has plenty of points in it but it far from guaranteed Cooks will get enough to make him a weekly fantasy starter. He's still injured going into the season opener too, adding another red flag.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Brown's rookie year was bookended by a four-catch, 147-yard, two-touchdown effort in a season-opening blowout of Miami and a seven-catch, 126-yard game in Baltimore's home loss to Tennessee in the playoffs' Divisional Round. In between, he only twice surpassed 50 receiving yards in a game and only twice caught more than four passes in a game for the run-oriented Ravens.Acquired from the Rams in April, Cooks will be tasked with helping to fill the void created by Houston's March trade of DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona. Coming off a season in which he averaged a career-worst 41.6 receiving yards per game with a career-low two touchdowns, Cooks is the most likely candidate to emerge as Houston's top receiving option in 2020.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
He was coming off foot surgery last year, and it was the reason I was avoiding him in drafts. Same calendar year surgery on foot/ankle never goes well for pass catchers. Still, Brown went out there and played well the first two weeks, racking up 253 yards and two touchdowns over the first two weeks. Unfortunately, the injuries to his lower body added up as the year went on and his performances reflected that, as he topped 50 yards just once over the remaining 12 games he played. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has said Brown's "had a great offseason." Brown's schedule is great to start the year, too. In Weeks 2-5, he'll play against the Texans, Chiefs, Washington, and Bengals. The upside to Brown is a DeSean Jackson-like presence of someone who won't be a consistent WR1, but rather one you play as a WR2/3 who gives you "boom" potential on a weekly basis. However, if the Ravens don't up their pass attempts, it'll be hard figuring out when those booms will come. Relying on him as more than a WR3 this year would probably be a mistake, because there's not much evidence suggesting they'll throw the ball a lot more than they did in 2019.There have been just nine wide receivers who've finished as a top-24 receiver in at least four of the last five years. Julio Jones, Mike Evans, Jarvis Landry, Michael Thomas, DeAndre Hopkins, Antonio Brown, Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, and... Cooks. He's done that with three different quarterbacks, and it's hard to say Deshaun Watson is a downgrade. The lack of offseason might prove to be a lot for the chemistry between the two, but knowing Cooks has transitioned well in the past, it shouldn't take too long. Concussions, on the other hand, are a big worrisome point. He only missed two games due to concussions in 2019, but they're starting to add up. It also affected his performance (clearly) in a big way, as he never topped 46 yards in the six games following the injury. There's going to be one of Will Fuller or Cooks who shines as a top-30 receiver with top-20 upside, yet neither are being drafted there. Knowing Cooks has been in this situation before, he gets a vote of confidence. If you land him as your WR4, you should be psyched. If Fuller misses any time, he'd be a must-play WR2 nearly every week.

Perfect breakout candidate, a top WR3 target for all formats

Packer Report
Brown had an up and down rookie season where he dealt with injuries but also showed real potential when at 100%. Now he enters year two in the NFL and should be completely healthy giving him a chance to be a terrific mid-round value. My only concern for Brown is how much the Ravens run the football, that could hurt him a few times but over 16 games it's not a reason to avoid him.Brandin Cooks once again finds himself on a new team, now with the Texans. Things could be worse considering he'll get to catch passes from Deshaun Watson but talent and opportunity have never been the problem for Cooks, it's always been about staying healthy. He has suffered multiple concussions over the last few years which adds major risk. On the flip side, if he stays healthy, he could be more dangerous than ever with Watson.

Absent his concussion history, Cooks would be a draft-day target. He's an excellent receiver, with no better evidence than the fact that he had three straight 1,000-yard receiving seasons on three different teams. And taking over for DeAndre Hopkins, who has seen at least 150 targets in in five straight seasons, is an excellent spot. But Cooks has battled multiple concussions - at least five in his professional career - and the risk is of him missing time is extremely high. It would be wonderful if Cooks could play a full season this year, but drafters should be leery of drafting Cooks as a WR3 given his history.

Hollywood Brown is a massive value because of *where* he sees his targets. @GrahamBarfieldTexans acquired WR Brandin Cooks and a 2022 fourth-round pick from the Rams in exchange for the No. 57 overall pick of the 2020 draft. Cooks, who has suffered some concerning (head) injuries in recent years but not missed much time, is coming off by far the worst campaign of his career. Somehow, this is the third time he's been traded in three years. He has a bad contract and has suffered at least five concussions as a pro.

Originally with Brees and the Saints, Cooks had 1100 yards and at least 8 TDs both seasons before heading to NE. In his first year with NE, Cooks put up nearly 1100 and 7. Then he went to the Rams, where, in his first season, he put up 1200 and 5. Cooks is no stranger to switching teams, no stranger to playing with great QBs, and no stranger to putting up very solid numbers. He was even WR29 last season prior to his injury. He's simply being under drafted.

FantasyPros
Unfortunately, Brown doesn't exactly play in the best offense to maximize his skills for fantasy football. He has the talent to be a top-24 WR, but the Ravens simply do not pass the ball enough for him to return value. He's a boom/bust play that's best plugged in as a WR3/FLEX option on a weekly basis.Cooks is changing teams yet again this season, but there may not have been a better place for him to land. There are a ton of vacated targets in Houston after the departure of Deandre Hopkins and Cooks could see a significant amount of them. Will Fuller will certainly be involved, as will Randall Cobb, but otherwise Cooks could very well lead this offense in targets. There's risk involved in drafting him, which is why his ADP is lower, but it could pay off in a big way for whoever selects him.

Among the biggest busts of 2019 , but previously had been so consistent he deserves forgiveness... especially now as Watson's new No.1... will love the newfound deep ball accuracy.

The good news: He was the leading target getter at WR. The Bad: The Ravens were 32nd in attempts in 2019, meaning Marquise had 71 targets. I do believe he can be an elite deep threat, with plenty of opportunity to gash the defense when they cheat up to sop the run but that is a narrative versus the numbers that Baltimore is most likely to repeat. He did have the screw removed from his foot this offseason so hopefully he can stay healthy. I see him as a flex play with upside, but the upside is not the ceiling in this case.. There are big Trusses in the wayThe fun part is trying to figure out who will disappoint out of the Rams WR trio if they decide to continually target the TE or if the TE targets were mostly due to Cooks absence. What I hadn't realized is that Cooks only missed 2 games(Basically 3). Despite still being around the TE revolution still happened, and the consistency of the WRs suffered. Almost 2 less targets per game for Cooks in 2019 vs 2018. Passer Rating when targeted: 2019 - 88.1, 2018 - 115.9, 2017 - 106.9
