Hopkins's alarming drop-off in 2016 is concerning; targets dropped from 192 to 151; weak efficiency (7.9 YPT); QB play should be somewhat improved, but Savage is far from thrilling, rookie Watson is more promising but he's still a rookie. By far the top guy in Chicago, though offense is not much to get excited about.
Brandon Funston
Fantasy Analyst
Hopkins is a smooth operator who can snag most anything thrown in his vicinity, and even if rookie QB Watson takes over the HOU offense sooner rather than later, I look at anyone other than Brock Osweiler as an upgrade for Nuke
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Deshaun Watson is of course a green rookie, but he - and your uncle Jeff - can throw the ball better than Brock Osweiler. Watson should rely on DeAndre Hopkins this season and help him come back to form.Meredith will take over as the main receiver in Chicago, which at the very least means he should be in line for a big contingency of targets.

QB List
I kind of thought that Hopkins would be fine with The Brock Lobster (Brock Osweiler), considering the Texans have had their fair share of bad quarterbacks, but Osweiler proved to be more of a dud than The B-52's post-80s career. Now the Texans have Deshaun Watson who, while a rookie, is still quite talented, and is likely smart enough to realize that Hopkins is someone he should rely on (rookie quarterbacks often rely on stars like Hopkins). Hopkins can be incredible, but the quarterback situation in Houston makes things a little shaky. If there's one thing you can say about Cameron Meredith, it's this: he's a number one option in an NFL passing offense. Unfortunately, that passing offense is the Chicago Bears, but he should be their top option and should be in for a decent amount of targets. Unfortunately he'll be competing with Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, and Marcus Wheaton, but there's plenty of upside with Meredith.

FantasyPros
Hopkins played the full season and was still the #37 wide receiver behind the likes of Brandon LaFell and Sterling Shepard. He should rebound, but don't expect one that launches him all the way back into WR1 territory until he has a quality QB on his side. The Bears should end up passing a fair amount and Glennon is better than he is getting credit for, but Meredith is clearly the second most talented wideout for the Bears and while he is generally regarded as the WR1, that will change in short time.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
We thought he was QB proof going into the season, but Osweiler couldn't get the ball to the outside with any zip or accuracy. They'll have to figure out how to get him the ball consistently. If Fuller can stay healthy he might cut into Hopkins production as well. They went and drafted a QB with a weaker arm than Osweiler, WTF?"Smooth is probably the best word to describe him." - I think Glennon has a little crush on Cameron Meredith. As a UDFA from a small school Meredith wasn't on anyone's radar at this time last year. He wasn't even active for the first two weeks of the season. Meredith finished last year with 66 receptions for 888 yards, in the 12 games he started he finished in the top-12 receivers 5 times (PPR scoring). His burst, agility, and catch radius scores are absolutely through the roof compared to others. His current ADP is in the ninth round so strike while the price is low. Meredith is one of our possible "league winners" this year so stay tuned for more .

Nuk can still be a fantasy demon, but Houston's QB situation certainly could hold him back again in 2017.

Improved quarterback play will make Hopkins a steal on draft day. He has yet to miss a game in his NFL career. Auction Value $25 Meredith will be the top receiver in the Bears' offense. An 80-plus reception season is very possible. Auction Value $ 14
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Who would've thought that we'd love to have Brian Hoyer back in order to throw to Hopkins? A year after his breakout 1,500-yard season, Hopkins totaled just 954 yards on 151 targets. Those who have high hopes for him are likely depending on rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson taking over in fast order.Despite catching passes from the same quarterbacks and seeing essentially the same number of targets, Meredith finished with 67 more yards and two more touchdowns than Alshon Jeffery last year. He suffered a broken thumb during OTA's which could derail his ascension up the depth chart, as he's out until training camp. There is plenty of risk considering the Bears signing Victor Cruz, Kendall Wright, and Marcus Wheaton, but we also know that there's plenty of upside.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Hopkins benefited greatly from having the Texans draft Clemson QB DeShaun Watson. Watson is not proven enough for me to put Hopkins as a WR1, but I think the move puts him back in the high WR3 to low WR2 discussion.
