FantasyPros
In years where both Cobb and Rodgers have been healthy, Cobb has finished #6, #19 and #31. Even last season, Cobb was a flex play with backups throwing him the football. If Cobb can get back on the field soon and isn't traded, he ought to be drafted as a WR3 with upside for much more.Although Meredith is far from a sure thing, the word is that he is recovering well from surgery and should be the number two wide receiver in Drew Brees' offense. Now that he is on the Saints big things could be in store if he gets a chance at the starting wide receiver two job.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Here's a head-scratcher: Cobb, who still calls Aaron Rodgers his QB, needed a late-July floor to surpass Jordy Nelson in consensus ADP. While he hasn't finished as a top-25 WR since 2014, that will change if the QB-WR duo both stay healthy. Cobb caught 30 of 45 targets for 302 yards and two TDs in five games completed by his superstar teammate. He is now Rodgers's second target behind Davante Adams after tallying 409 of his 653 yards after the catch. After reporting for camp without a walking boot, he looks recovered from an injured ankle and ready to regain his status as a weekly PPR mainstay. Rumors of Green Bay shopping Cobb could be cataclysmic to his fantasy appeal. No Rodgers, no thanks.Recovering from an ACL and partial MCL tear that cost him all of 2017, Meredith hopes to be ready to open the season. Now that he left the Bears to join Drew Brees in the Big Easy, drafters can't forget about someone who averaged 63.4 YPG in 2016. He's pegged to supplant Ted Ginn Jr. as the second WR on an elite offense, so early drafters should bet on a healthy return if he falls to the late rounds.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I get it, Cobb's career has gone downhill the past few years, but that shouldn't force you to run from him completely. The last I checked, his quarterback is still Aaron Rodgers, which means 10 touchdowns is well within reach. Even with Jordy Nelson in town last year, Cobb saw 92 targets in 15 games, showing how much he still means to the offense. While there were rumors of him being cut due to his large salary cap number, they decided to hold on for another season, and you should, too. His ankle that required surgery this offseason is a real concern, but let's not pretend that you get wide receivers with his upside this late without some sort of risk. It was a knee injury that looked like it could be a career-ender, but Meredith latched on with the Saints this offseason and will now be catching passes from Drew Brees. Shortly after snagging him, the Saints cut ties with Willie Snead, opening up the slot role that Meredith played so well while with the Bears. Meredith's sample size is relatively small, but when you rack up 888 yards and four touchdowns from Brian Hoyer and Matt Barkley, there's plenty of optimism. The issue is that Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara, Ted Ginn, and maybe even Ben Watson are ahead of him in the pecking order. He's likely to have some big weeks, but I wouldn't expect a weekly contributor.
Staff Rankings
QB List
Simple deduction here Watson: Cobb enters the season as #2 receiver for a high-level passing offense in Green Bay, but his hold on said job is tentative due to young guns Geronimo Allison and J'Mon Moore waiting in the wings. Risky play but plenty of early, and potentially late, season value if he can play up those #2 receiver targets."I bet you forgot about me huh?", Meredith remarks snidely with arms crossed and head tilted. Signing with the Saints in the offseason following a season ending ACL tear, Meredith figures to be the primary slot receiver for a perennially potent Saints offense. Assuming he recovers fully, which all by all accounts he should, and rookie Tre'Quan Smith doesn't suddenly shift from a downfield receiver to a slot receiver, Meredith should be in store for steady receptions and yards, possibly as a solid WR3. I like his upside at WR53.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Cobb has had some bad injury and quarterback luck recently, but he should be healthy and have Aaron Rodgers back, along with the absence of Jordy Nelson, which has me ready to give him another shot this season.Meredith looks like he'll be ready to go for training camp, and as long as that pans out, I think he could push for targets, which with Drew Brees is a good thing.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
"Expect Meredith in old "Colston Role" at slot WR between Michael Thomas & Ted Ginn." @EvanSilva He appears to be healthy,he has avoided the PUP list and is in camp the first day. Baring set-backs he could be the sleeper of the draft right now (7/26).

Win My Fantasy League
Cobb may be pushed by Moore in camp and may fall to number four in the target pecking orderMeredith should easily pass Ginn in targets if he proves to be healthy
