Carson wasn't even expected to be the starting running back last year, let alone be a reliable weekly running back option in fantasy like he was. But after 1,151 yards and nine touchdowns, he came into camp this year as the clear starter. That role has only been solidified, with Rashaad Penny reportecly falling further behind Carson in the Seahawks' eyes according to beat writers. With Mike Davis gone, Carson's role could grow even more. If he can get more involved in the passing game, he could have RB1 upside, but draft him as a reliable RB2 for now.If it's possible for a player to be on every single fantasy owner's breakout list, then Godwin is your guy. Although his production slowed after his hot start last year, the departure of both Adam Humphries and DeSean Jackson opens up plenty of opportunities. Add to that Bruce Arians gushing about Godwin's ability to play out of the slot and you have all the makings of a big season. But you'll need to pay for Godwin at this point if you want him.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Carson is the ultimate boom or bust running back this season. Seattle may very well lead the league in carries again this season and Carson is about as efficient as they come. The concern, however, is that his knee will cause Carson to miss a few games or that Penny will play so well that he cuts into the workload. These are enough to keep him outside RB1 territory but barely.Seemingly everyone in the industry loves Godwin to breakout this year and for good reason. He is an immense talent and has the makeup of an elite red zone receiver. The issue is that the price tag has become so high that you will need him to reach that upside in order to justify the cost, and that will be difficult seeing that Mike Evans and O.J. Howard are both on his roster.

SEA RBs scored 352 FP (Std), 385 (half-PPR), 418 (PPR) last year. If Carson sees 67% = 236 (RB6 last year), 258 (RB6), 280 (RB6) If he sees 60% = 211 (RB8), 231 (RB9), 251 (RB9) 55% = 194 (RB11), 212 (RB12), 230 (RB12) Last year he scored 53%, 51% and 49% respectively. @4for4_John In 2018, the Seahawks had the highest run ratio with 55.6%. It was the highest in the #NFL since 2012 when the Seahawks led the league with 56.96%. Surprisingly enough though, Chris Carson didn't have a top five game in 0.5 formats will Week 16. @TheFFRealistGodwin kicked into the slot all four times the Bucs went to a 3-WR formation. That slot-plus role is the same way Bruce Arians coaxed monster seasons out of Hines Ward and Larry Fitzgerald in previous stops. Already armed with unique talent and the nut situation (no running game, no viable No 3 WR, leaky defense, aggressive quarterback, plus scheme), Godwin's chances of fulfilling lofty expectations this season are rising. @AdamLevitan Jameis Winston has played 22 snaps this preseason. Chris Godwin been on field for all 22, in slot for eight of them.

R. Penny apologists need to understand that Carson is exactly the kind of between the tackles, chain-moving workhorse that SEA wants to hitch its wagon to - and now it wants to use him more in the passing game tooMight be the leader in preseason buzz - 179 targets up for grabs with D-Jax, Humphries gone - he's in line for a can't fail amount of targets in a pass-rich offense
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
Assuming he's healthy going into Week 1, I had to bump him up a few spots. He could easily be a top-10 RB if he plays 14-16 games.I'm buying into the hype train, as long as he can stay healthy. Into my top-20 WRs.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
The big concern for Carson is going to be 2018 first round pick Rashaad Penny's role in the offense. The Seattle offense runs the ball enough to support two running backs, but Carson is hardly a guarantee to keep the bell cow role for the entire 2019 season.Godwin was a real bright spot on this offense, posting 59 receptions for 842 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was the 25th ranked fantasy receiver last year and he has a ton of upside this year in Bruce Arian's offense that should see him have a major role. I think Godwin will evolve into one of the Top-10 fantasy receivers in the NFL.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Only six RBs had more rushes than Carson last season - behind Zeke, Barkley, DJ, Gurley, AP, and Jordan Howard (Very unlikely a lot of those guys make that list this year). In Seattle, Carson only received 55% of the team's carries. In comparison, Penny and Davis saw 19% and 26% last year. With Davis gone and not a real third option, why are we assuming Penny is going to take all of Davis' work? Or that He'll take Carson's job? If this becomes a 60-65/35-40 split, Carson will see MORE work than he saw last year. He's a steal at his ADP.Arians also loves his Slot WRs. Hines Ward was amazing for Pittsburgh in the slot and Fitzgerald was magnificent for Arizona in the slot. Even Donnie Avery in the slot in 2012 on the colts put up a 60/781/3 line with Reggie Wayne AND TY Hilton on the team! The upside here is huge.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There are a lot of reasons to like Carson. Looking at how he finished the season, it's hard not to. From Week 12 on, he finished as the No. 4 fantasy running back behind only Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, and Saquon Barkley. While Rashaad Penny is still there (and a former first-round pick), Mike Davis exited town, leaving behind plenty of touches for Penny. While Carson may not have the upside of others who are used in the pass-game consistently, he should be a solid RB2 provided he's healthy. This, of course, is a concern after hearing Carson "had a little work done" on his knee this offseason, so stay tuned for updatesThe hype on Godwin has reached its peak, as he's expected to make a splash in Bruce Arians' new offense. With Mike Evans stealing quite a large share of the targets, you have to wonder just how high the ceiling is for Godwin, as the Bucs are likely going to run the ball a bit more under Arians. Godwin is a rock-solid player, but you mustn't forget that he's the No. 2 receiver on his team, and there's also a tight end (O.J. Howard) who deserves a lot of targets by his own right. It's okay to like Godwin in 2019, but keep expectations in check

Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Chris Godwin will reportedly be stepping into the Larry Fitzgerald role this season in Bruce Arians' system. This will lead to an increased amount of targets for the young and talented wideout, which could mean fantasy gold at his current ADP. The Bucs are going to be airing the ball out this season and Godwin stands to be competing with Mike Evans for the majority of the targets there. Even if we see Godwin's YPR come down, he's still an extremely intriguing fantasy option and is about as solid of a WR2 option as you can get for your team.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Chris Carson put together an excellent second season last year, posting a 247/1151/9 stat line and finishing as the RB 15 in half ppr scoring. Had he played a full 16 weeks then he likely would have finished as a RB 1. This season I do expect him to get less carries. The Seahawks used a first round pick on Penny, and they're going to use him. He was better than people think last season, and teams love to be right with their early round picks. That by no means makes Carson a bad pick. The Seattle is going to run the ball a ton, so he can still pay off his ADP even if Penny gets a lot of work. I just prefer waiting and grabbing Penny later in drafts if I'm targeting this backfield. As per usual, I love Godwin this season. He's an incredible WR, and has produced every time he's been given the opportunity. This is the breakout season we've been waiting for. Jackson and Humphries are now gone, so it's Evans, Howard and Godwin that will be commanding the majority of the targets in Tampa's elite passing game. The return of Arians means great things for this passing attack, which already ranked first in passing yards and 4th in passing TD's per game. As if things needed to get better for Godwin...Arians has talked about using him in the slot! Arians coached the Cardinals from 2013-2017...during that stretch Larry Fitz produced 3 consecutive seasons with 105+ receptions. If Godwin is used in that same role, then he's going to finish as a low end WR 1/ high end WR 2. We've been waiting years for this moment...time to reap the fruits of our labor.
