Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Yes, Taylor finished the season on fire last year and was absolutely dominant down the stretch. However, we have to acknowledge the defenses that he was playing against during that time. As we project forward, it's important to keep in mind the offensive philosophy from this team and that they want to utilize multiple RBs in their rotation. With Marlon Mack back from injury, we should see him syphon some work away from JT and Hines is always going to have his role. Taylor is still worth drafting as a top-12 RB, but we should be tempering our expectations for him heading into 2021.I'm going to be honest, one of the most difficult players for me to project this season is Clyde Edwards-Helaire. His talent, his receiving ability out of the backfield, and the offense he's in all indicate that he should be a top-tier fantasy contributor. Unfortunately, the usage is too unpredictable to feel confident ranking him anywhere higher than a mid-range RB2. If Andy Reid commits to the run game behind this new offensive line, CEH could be a top-5 fantasy option in 2021. On the other hand, we could see more of the same from this offense this season where CEH gets a handful of carries each game, but it's not nearly enough to push him into weekly top-12 consideration. We'll need to monitor training camp reports to see if Reid is looking to change the offense a bit to lean on CEH. If he does, Edwards-Helaire could be the steal of fantasy football drafts this year. My Very Early Projection: 204-918-6 rushing & 54-424-2 receiving.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
This time last year, I was much higher on Taylor than the consensus. I like Taylor, but did everyone forget about what happened the first 10 weeks of the season? Taylor was the RB19 and David Montgomery was the RB20. Taylor finished the year as the RB6 while Montgomery was the RB4. Many will talk about Montgomery's schedule as the reason for his production, hence why he's ranked at RB20 in ECR right now, but are they ignoring Taylor's schedule? He played against the Texans TWICE, Packers, Raiders, Jaguars, and the Steelers (who were decimated by injuries in that game). That's a large reason for his jump in production. I still like Taylor, just not nearly as much as the consensus. Not many realize that Edwards-Helaire was the No. 11 running back through six weeks without Le'Veon Bell on the roster. Even better, he was the No. 11 running back while scoring just once during that time. In fact, had he scored one more touchdown, he would've been the No. 6 running back through six weeks. Once they traded for Bell, though, it ruined the stable touches he was getting. With Bell gone and no one significant brought in this offseason, Edwards-Helaire should return to his 18-plus touch role in the offense. The Chiefs have rebuilt their offensive line this year, which should help make life easier on Edwards-Helaire, who did average a solid 4.44 yards per carry his rookie season. Touchdowns are what were lacking, but don't bet on that again in what's likely to be the No. 1 scoring offense in the NFL.

Hail to Fantasy Football
I keep moving him up. Remember last preseason when some people were suggesting to take him at #1 overall? I do. Nothing has really changed. If anything, he has a year under his belt and is likely a steal in Rd 2.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
Top analyst Shawn Siegele has Taylor as his 4th overall pick in drafts, certainly makes me think I should have him higher.Who's going to take RB touches from him? Through the first 6 weeks of the season, CEH had 107 rushes, 505 carries and 1 touchdown. He also had 31 targets for 21 catches and 177 yards. His 16-game pace would have had him finish as the RB6 in full-PPR leagues. Ahead of Jonathan Taylor, with only 3 TDs. - @RobFFAddict He was pacing at 285 carries for 1,347 carries and 3 touchdowns. He also was on pace for 83 targets, 56 catches and 472 yards. -
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
When Marlon Mack went down with a season-ending injury in Week 1, everyone expected Taylor's breakout to come immediately. But it didn't. Instead, it was a frustratingly slow build, during which it felt like Taylor left rushing yards and fantasy points on the table every game. But if you held out long enough, you were rewarded with a dominant stretch, during which Taylor feasted on a six-game stretch of soft run defenses, enough to propel him to a finish as the RB6 on the season. With an upgrade in quarterback and running behind a strong offensive line once again, a healthy Taylor should amass fantasy points aplenty this year.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Feeling better that Reich has called him the lead horse, but still concerned if he'll follow through after it took a Jordan Freakin' Wilkins injury for Taylor to truly break out.Love the removal of Damien Williams, who had the potential to be a true thorn in his side. Bell also gone, and the team added the mauling OT Orlando Brown. All these should help CEH reach the limitless ceiling that had us drooling a little prematurely last year
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Taylor played so well down the stretch last season that many forget we looked like a bust for a big chunk of the season. With the rookie jitters shaken-off, the powerful Taylor looks like a lock to be a top-10 back in year 2. The two concerns, the downgrade at left tackle and the QB question. If Carson Wentz can return to his once dominant form, the sky is the limit for Taylor.CEH being drafted at current ADP has the ability to be a league winner for the bold people who draft him. His hype last year is affecting his narrative. Instead of it reading "young RB in good situation looks to improve on high-end RB2 finish in his second year" it is "rookie bust enters 2021 trying to prove he is good enough for great team around him." In the end its all about perspective,
Mark Ringo
Sleepers and Busts
Jonathan Taylor started out slow, but by the end of the year he was a run away freight train. Marlon Mack is back after signing a new deal and is healthy again. How will the Colts split up the carries? They invested a high pick in Taylor so he should get the bulk of them. The concerns with Taylor are: 1.) he was prone to fumbles in college and 2.) He's not the best at catching passes, which limits his upside in half and full point PPR formats. That said, this Colts team should be in a lot of shootouts in the AFC South. Taylor should get a bunch of TDs in 2021.Edwards-Helaire was a disappointment for fantasy owners last year after getting off to a good start. Andy Reid's offense is difficult to learn and he's had an entire offseason to become more familiar with it. Reid's history is he likes to utilize one RB. The comp by scouts after watching Helaire was a better version of Brian Westbrook. And the Chiefs' offense is more explosive than the Eagles offense that Westbrook was a part of. Looked at Chiefs' Kingdom, he is finally there, to sit on his thrown as The Prince of Helaire. I'm a buyer of the Fresh Prince of Helaire!
Brendan Tuma
FantasyPros
Jonathan Taylor enters 2021 as a volatile first-round fantasy selection. This isn't meant to be a cop out in terms of taking a stance on him. Instead, it's important to understand this about him when it comes to roster construction. Taylor could very well be the No. 1 pick in 2022 redraft leagues. He could also be a frustrating player to roster given the uncertainty Carson Wentz brings to this entire Indianapolis offense. Another factor working against Taylor is the presence of Nyheim Hines, who should be considered the favorite for passing game work out of the backfield (no matter how much Taylor is "working on his hands" this summer). Ultimately, Taylor was an elite prospect entering the league and he smashed down the stretch of his rookie season. He isn't a known commodity like Nick Chubb or Aaron Jones, and therefore picking him requires a certain amount of risk tolerance, but I'd be willing to bet on an ascending player who has an overall RB1 finish in his range of outcomes.CEH is once again a polarizing player within fantasy circles. After busting as a first-round selection in 2020, Edwards-Helaire ultimately proved to be more "consistent" than "dominant" as a fantasy running back. The arrival of Le'Veon Bell midway through the year killed his chances of returning the investment managers made in him, as Edwards-Helaire averaged just 2.8 catches per game despite playing with Patrick Mahomes in an Andy Reid offense. Still, he totaled more rushing yards than Antonio Gibson, and the Chiefs chose not to re-sign either Bell or Damien Williams. Destined for positive TD regression given the amount of touches he should receive in an elite offense, CEH is a no-brainer selection in Round 3 of summer drafts.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Taylor was sixth among fantasy running backs with 234.8 fantasy points, but he ended the season with 125.3 fantasy points in his final 5 games. I think he picks up where he left off in his second year and he is a more consistent elite RB1 running behind one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.CEH averaged 13.9 fantasy points per game in the first 7 games of the year and fell to 10.1 fantasy points the rest of the way as injuries slowed him down. CEH feels like he should be a RB1 in that offense, but I think durability, consistency, and timeshare concerns keep him out of the RB1 discussion and make him more of a RB2.
