Lineups
It's hard for me to grasp that more people aren't talking about D.J. Moore's phenomenal sophomore season. He had 87 catches for 1,175 yards and 4 touchdowns despite catching passes from a hobbled Cam Newton, Kyle Allen, and Will Grier. Now, Moore will benefit greatly from the introduction of Teddy Bridgewater as the new starting quarterback. The team's defense has also gotten worse since last year and will be starting several rookies, so game script should favor the passing game. Matt Rhule and Joe Brady will help scheme Moore open in creative ways and he's almost certainly due for positive touchdown regression. He's one of my favorite players for fantasy football this season, especially when you can draft him in the third or even fourth round.Much has been made about the Rams switching to a two-tight end-heavy scheme at the end of last season, a change that resulted in a substantial targets drop for Cooper Kupp. In the five-week span to close the 2019 season, Kupp only saw 6 targets per game as compared to his 16-game pace of 8.3 per game. Kupp is more effective out of the slot and he struggles against press coverage. However, I don't see these factors as enough to knock Kupp out of the top ten. He still had a touchdown in each of those five games to close 2019 and he is one of the biggest threats for double-digit touchdowns as a tremendous red zone threat. Sean McVay is an innovative offensive coach who won't let scheme keep the ball out of his best receiver's hands (all due respect to Robert Woods). Kupp is a value in drafts and is going to turn in another phenomenal season.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
The departure of Devin Funchess prior to last season made Moore the undisputed No. 1 wideout in Carolina, and he emerged as the No. 2 target in the passing game behind running back Christian McCaffrey. Because of Moore's speed and versatility, the Panthers' new coaching regime will likely continue to use him on a wide variety of route concepts. Not only did Kupp return for Week 1 after having undergone surgery to repair a torn ACL he suffered in November 2018, his torrid start to 2019 had him entering the Rams' Week 9 bye on pace to end the season with 116 catches for 1,584 yards. The fact that he then failed to surpass six catches or 65 yards in any of the seven games after L.A.'s bye is cause for fantasy concern.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It really stinks that we may not get to see Moore play with a top-tier quarterback during his early years. He's an extremely good football player who's been stuck in a bad situation. He made the most of bad targets last year, finishing as the WR18 and delivering WR2 or better performances 60.0 percent of the time, which ranked eighth among wide receivers. Now another obstacle to cross. He'll have a new quarterback and a new head coach in 2020. The coach (Matt Rhule) also decided they needed to bring in Robby Anderson, a receiver who previously played under him, which could mean the targets get spread out a bit. The good news is that Bridgewater attempted a deep ball on just 7.1 percent of his pass attempts, which was the second-lowest rate in the NFL, and not an area where Moore operates. The talent is there for Moore to make a jump into WR1 status, but the situation doesn't seem ideal with virtually no offseason. He's best suited as a WR2 on fantasy teams, as top-24 should be his absolute floor. It was a tale of two seasons for Kupp last year, as he was the No. 2 receiver in fantasy football through eight games, tallying 58 receptions for 792 yards and five touchdowns. He then fell off hard, finishing as the No. 31 receiver over the final eight games, totaling just 36 receptions for 369 yards and five touchdowns. The Rams started moving towards more 12 personnel, which includes two tight ends, which in turn leaves just two wide receivers on the field. Knowing Kupp is a slot receiver by nature, it affects him greatly. He actually played just 61 percent of the team's snaps in Weeks 16 and 17. But I'd argue that Jared Goff needs him on the field. While targeting Kupp, Goff posted a 117.0 QB Rating. While targeting everyone else, that number is just 78.6. Sean McVay is consistently evolving as a play caller, which bodes well for Kupp, as he'll likely be expanded to different roles moving forward. There are question marks, that much we know. However, we have still yet to see a "bad" season from Kupp in the NFL. I don't consider him as safe as his teammate Robert Woods, but Kupp should still be considered a low-end WR2 who has more touchdown upside. I mean, he's scored 21 receiving touchdowns in 39 career games. Woods has 25 receiving touchdowns in 100 career games.

Teddy B. is not helping me keep DJ up this high in the rankingsThe departure of Todd Gurley and Brandin Cooks elevates Kupp & Woods but is the WR3 Reynolds of Jefferson? Cooper Kupp is a moveable matchup piece in McVay's offense and I cant wait to see what he has designed for him this season

Moore brokeout last season, and should continue his ascendence into the top ten.Kupp lit the world on fire last season then slowed down. McVay rediscovered his 12 personell packages late in the season and Tyler Higbee should open up some coverage for Kupp. His ceiling will likely dip, but he's a bonafide WR2 pick with WR1 potential

Former 1st round pick, D.J. Moore had a breakout season in 2019 and that was with Kyle Allen throwing him the ball. Now he has Teddy Bridgewater who looked terrific in New Orleans last year at QB. Moore could be the NFL's next star WR, the only concern I have is how long it will take for him and Bridgewater to build a connection due to COVID.When healthy, Kupp is one of the safest players in all of fantasy football. He's targeted in the short game, deep shots, and most importantly, in the red zone. Last year he finished with 10 TDs and that was with Brandin Cooks still on the roster. Now, Cooks is in Houston and Kupp has a real shot at finishing as a top-10 WR.

New QB Bridgewater won't accentuate Moore's verticals skills, but he should be heavily targeted, allowing him to put his ample Yards After Catch skills to work7th among WRs in FAN PPG over past 2 seasons (min. 24 games) - led NFL in slot yards, and I'm just not buying that goes away significantly so LAR can run 12 personnel

Moore had 1,215 yards from scrimmage, but only 4 touchdowns in 2020. Teddy Bridgewater is the quarterback in Carolina this year, Moore should easily be their most targeted wide receiver.Kupp had 1,165 yards receiving and 10 receiving touchdowns in 2019. He is a very talented wide, but he is a little on the volatile side playing with QB Jared Goff.

Moore's essentially a lock for seeing over 130 targets again in 2020. While he might not put up high TD totals in this offense, he's going to be a PPR machine this season. As long as Moore can stay healthy, he'll return value on his current ADP.Kupp was insanely productive through the first half of 2019, but he wasn't putting up anywhere close to the same type of numbers through the back half of last year. From Weeks 1-8, Kupp was the WR2 in all of fantasy football. However, from Weeks 9-17, Kupp was the WR31. His snaps decreased as the offense changed and he simply wasn't as productive. All indications are that the Rams offense is going to be the same as it was at the end of last year, which means Kupp is being insanely over-drafted this year. He'll have his big games here or there, but you may end up being disappointed that you drafted Kupp in 2020 at his current draft spot.

DJ Moore averaged 16.4 PPG (seventh-most among WRs) in 14 healthy games last year. As a 22-year-old with Kyle Allen at QB. One of the best prospects in recent memory with a historic start to his career. Panthers won't throw as much, but they should still be high-volume. @JackMiller02

D.J. Moore had a very impressive sophomore season, proving he's the clear Panthers WR1. He should get even better in year 3 as he's still very young and the Panthers look like they'll be regularly chasing the game. In most circumstances you'd suggest a 1000 yard receiver should expect far more than 6 TDs in his first two seasons combined, but Moore is rarely a green zone target (only three targets inside the 10 last year) so he may just be a guy who doesn't score often. The addition of Robby Anderson is also reason for concern so I'd suggest using some caution, especially in non-PPR leagues. The upside is very high if everything kicks though.Cooper Kupp finished as the WR3 in non-PPR but remains a TD-dependant option who was really hurt by Tyler Higbee's emergence at the end of 2019. His volume looks like it will drop a little in 2020 but with Todd Gurley gone the underneath targets should still remain plus he gets so many red zone looks you'd expect his TD numbers to remain high. Regression will occur across the board, the only question is how much.

Love the Joe Brady hire as OC. LSU's WRs dominated under his tutelage and usage, and Moore can expect more creative playcalling than ever before. But will Robby A's addition be more a positive (clearing space) or negative (target competition)?

Back to back years with under performance in the TDs. Despite that, he's still finished as a flex worthy, or better option, in .5ppr.Weeks 1-8: 87 targets, 10.8 targets/gm Weeks 10-17: 47 targets, 5.8 targets/gm How worried are we that the TE just replaced him?
