Lineups
There may not be a player I've been more back-and-forth on this offseason than Henry. On one hand, his 5.1 yards-per-carry on over 300 carries and his 18 touchdowns from scrimmage seem impossible to repeat. On the other hand, though, the Titans locked him up to a lucrative long-term deal and have found their offensive identity by making him the focal point. A full season of Ryan Tannehill will help and Henry is one of the rare players with RB1 upside, regardless of whether or not he catches the ball.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
The NFL's leading rusher in 2019, Henry's career-high 5.1 yards per attempt was tops among NFL running backs with more than 140 carries last season. With Dion Lewis having departed, there's a chance that Henry's role in the passing game could increase. After averaging 202 passing yards per game over his first seven games of 2018, Prescott averaged better than 274 passing yards over his final nine games following the acquisition of WR Amari Cooper. He then averaged more than 306 yards per game in 2019.
Elisha Twerski
numberFire
Henry only had three games in half-PPR formats where he failed to reach double-digit fantasy points last year, compared to nine games with 16+ and seven games with 23+. He finished second in points per game in half-PPR and fourth in full-PPR. Don't let the scoring format scare you.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Underrated aspect of Henry's blistering 8-game stretch (203/1273/11 rushing): not only is it the 2nd-most rushing yards in an 8-game stretch in history, but it comes against teams a combined 24 games above .500. @AdamHarstadThe Cowboys drafted CeeDee Lamb and added an improved support cast, it's going to be challenging, but in a contract year Prescott will be looking to to build off the 306 YPG he averaged in 2019.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Yes, Derrick Henry finished with 1,540 yards and 16 touchdowns last year en route to a No. 3 finish. Yes, he was dominant in the playoffs. We still can't forget that he was the No. 14 running back in points per game before Week 10 last year, behind David Johnson and Mark Ingram. Should we automatically assume Henry picks up where he left off in 2019? My issue with Henry is that he's not involved in the passing-game, which lowers his weekly floor. That alone will allow us to choose someone like Alvin Kamara over him. Henry is best-suited as a second-round pick rather than one in the first round. We all know that Cam Newton was a pretty dang good fantasy quarterback throughout his career, right? Like, one of the best of this generation. Or how about Drew Brees, he's been extremely good and consistent throughout his career. What happens when we look at them and Prescott side-by-side? Prescott's numbers have been just as good, if not better. He's never finished outside the top-12 quarterbacks and is about to play in the same system that just netted him the QB2 finish. Did I mention he also had CeeDee Lamb added to his arsenal? And do you remember all those years we drafted Aaron Rodgers as the top quarterback? That was with Mike McCarthy as his head coach (Prescott's new coach). If you're on the clock and choosing between Prescott, Kyler Murray, Deshaun Watson, and Russell Wilson, I'm choosing Prescott. There's the least number of variables with him, though Wilson is close. I'll leave you with this: Since Amari Cooper joined the team, Prescott has completed 616-of-916 passes (67.2 percent) for 7,369 yards (8.04 yards per attempt), 44 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. That's over a span of 25 games. He's also rushed for 346 yards and seven touchdowns.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Lack of passing work is the only thing that keeps Henry out of the top five. Focal point of the Titans offense, gets better with volume. For those that take a QB early, Dak should be your guy.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
How much more would you love Henry if he caught more passes out of the backfield? WOW the possibilities...New coach, new system, new passing records? Pick your poison here, the triplets may be back!
Dalton Kates
APEX Fantasy Leagues
Elite rusher. Very limited usage in the receiving game hurts his ceiling and his floor. His 18 TDs are likely to regress as well. Good player, but currently overvalued.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Henry led the NFL in carries, rushing yards, and touchdowns last season, and continued to smash into the playoffs. With Ryan Tannehill back under center and continuity along the offensive line (other than the swap of Jack Conklin for Isaiah Wilson), there's every reason for Henry to have a big year. He'll never factor in heavily in the passing game so has more value in standard rather than half- or full-PPR formats. But he's a strong RB1 with little risk regardless.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Henry's breakout 2019 performance caught me by surprise. He was someone I was avoiding and fast forward to this year, he's an automatic RB1. His lack of usage in the passing game still concerns me but if he's running it the way he did in 2019, it won't matter all that much. He deserves to be drafted inside the top 5.Prescott is coming off a career year where he finished 2nd overall at QB. His team added Mike McCarthy, a pass-heavy coach as well as in many people's opinions the best WR in the class, CeeDee Lamb. With Zeke, Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, and McCarthy calling plays, Dak could be an MVP contender.
Justin Dodds
Locked In Football
Henry is potentially the third safest pick in the first round behind CMC and Zeke due to his expected volume. With Dion Jones' departure, 54 carries and 32 targets need to go somewhere. The only options I see are for those targets to either go to rookie Darrynton Evans, depending on how he performs in training camp, or for Henry to absorb them. I expect the Titans to involve Evans, so you're looking at around 300-320 carries and 20-30 targets for Henry, which is very promising volume in Half-PPR or Standard scoring formats. In PPR, the lack of targets lower Henry's floor somewhat, however, league leading rushing attempts should makeup for the lack of targets as they did last year.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Coop, Gallup, Lamb and Zeke. Ridiculous supporting cast and his ADP finally matches his production.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Dak had less rushing yards than Murray, Wilson, and Allen last season - all QBs that are being drafted around him - yet still had the most fantasy points of the bunch. With the added weapon of Ceedee Lamb around him and HC Mike McCarthy bringing over an offense that utilizes 3-WR sets very often, Dak is lined up for another successful fantasy season. His ceiling may not be as high as those around him, but he certainly has the highest floor.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Henry led the league in rushing yards and finished the season with 1,746 yards and 18 total touchdowns on the season. He has a new contract and Ryan Tannehill back under center, which means he should still be a RB1 in 2020.Prescott had 4,902 yards passing and 30 passing touchdowns in 2019 and he will be motivated to show that the Cowboys made a mistake by not giving him a long-term deal.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Derrick Henry was a fantasy football superstar last year and finished the season with 16 rushing touchdowns! While that's unlikely to repeat, he still belongs in the top-tier RB conversation and is a solid pick towards the back end of the first round in your draft.Dak finished as the QB2 last year for fantasy and the Cowboys just added CeeDee Lamb to this offense. Dak's a solid candidate to finish within the top-5 again in 2020.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
3 drops on 23 targets. 2019 was his worst year of passpro according to PFF. Relying on TDs and elite production, strictly from the ground, needing a great oline, requires some big truss. So the Cowboys ranked 28th in dropped passes on offense and Dak still threw for 4900 and 30 while getting younger and more athletic at WR and TE over the offseason? 1 Dak please

The Fantasy First Down
2019 was when it finally all came together for Derrick Henry, as he parlayed 303 carries into the rushing title and a RB3 finish in half-ppr. The reaction has been unusual, with a surprising amount of fantasy owners taking a big step back with players like Josh Jacobs, Nick Chubb, Austin Ekeler, Miles Sanders, Kenyan Drake and even Clyde Edwards-Helaire regularly going ahead of Henry for no good reason. Henry remains an absolute stud, especially in non-PPR, with a clear path to another 300 touches and maybe even more receptions. The injury concern appears to be overblown, as Henry has little injury history and all running backs with high volume are a breakdown risk. Ultimately, I'm hopping on the Henry express expecting another big season in 2020.Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys' fabulous four makes it really hard to dislike Dak in fantasy. He has massive upside with these elite receivers, but will ultimately be held back by a reworked O-line, questionable play-calling and the fact he's Dak Prescott. Dak is a talented player in the grand scheme of things but he just doesn't have the special talent of the truly great QBs and that, when combined with his questionable contract status, makes him a risky buy. Having said that, he's still young, was excellent last season, has a great injury record and has strong job security. Here's a random stat of warning to finish with: average points at home in 2019: 25.5, average points on the road in 2019: 19.7. He's tough to use every week so you may need a second QB, which isn't ideal for a guy you drafted so high.
