Antonio Brown's value is tanking just hours before the season begins. Just when we thought his antics would ease off for a football season, at least in part, he throws a fit at GM Mike Mayock. A team suspension seemed minor early on, but the situation has all the attributes of having a snowball effect as more information further reveals. This is the last note I will have on Antonio Brown in my draft rankings. Remaining positive with him is misguided from a fantasy perspective. If you drafted him, my condolences.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
At this point, Brown is such a circus, that one has to wonder if he ever plays for the Raiders. There is too much uncertainty for him to be anything more than a boom / bust WR3.Williams had a nice close to the season and he should have a big role in their offense in 2019. Williams is a solid RB2, but he is in a crowded backfield with RB LeSean McCoy and RB Darwin Thompson competing for touches.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
"Antonio Brown's contract includes standard language that voids guarantees for, among other things, not practicing and leaving the club without written approval. So even without a suspension, contract experts with other NFL teams tell me the #Raiders have a case to void his deal."I'm assuming Williams isn't the starter over the entire season. Williams had a nice 4-game run to end the season, but was under 13 touches in two of them, he won't be the only fantasy producer in this backfield.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
He's now going away from Ben Roethlisberger, so let's see if he remains an elite fantasy wide receiver as he's claimed. We've witnessed both Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree remain consistent with Derek Carr under center and it's not as if there's been a new offense installed from last year where we can expect a drastic change. Because of that, Brown is likely going to be a tad inconsistent. Still, he's one of the rare cases where you can essentially lock him in for 150 targets if he's on the field. That's where the next question is: Will he be on the field? He's dealing with frostbite on both his feet and is upset about the NFL telling him he's unable to wear his current helmet. The drama continues...It's never a bad thing to have the running back attached to Andy Reid's offense, though Williams shouldn't go inside the top few rounds due to his question marks. He's still yet to have more than 13 carries in a regular season game, so what makes us believe he's going to stand up to a full workload? The Chiefs just snagged LeSean McCoy when he was released by the Bills, making the situation even more sticky. Not to mention the performance by Darwin Thompson in the preseason. It's possible that Andy Reid moves to somewhat of a timeshare, though Williams should be the starter out of the gate.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Do I trust Antonio Brown? No, but the Raiders will be throwing the ball and he was still putting up insane numbers last year. He's still a top-10 threat. The committee talk has me scared of Damien, largely because his price is so steep. I still like him, but the price needs to be right. Also, get your Darwin Thompson shares no matter what you do with DW.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
I won't be drafting AB this season. It's nothing to do with his age or his talent, there are just too many unknowns for me to spend an early second round pick on him. He's changing team, which is never something you want for a WR, and he's going to a lower volume offense with a worse QB. Brown can complain all he wants about Big Ben and Pittsburgh, but Big Ben is a great QB, fed him the ball, and they were an elite offense. Only one of those are going to be true in Oakland. Carr is far from an elite QB and they are not going to be an elite offense. The only positive is that they are likely to feed him. Unfortunately for Brown, these targets will be less numerous, and come with less upside than they did in Pittsburgh. There are so many other elite players going in his range that I just can't justify spending such a high value pick on him.Damien Williams has as much upside as any running back in fantasy. Remember what a Chiefs RB is capable of. Hunt finished as the RB 11 in half PPR scoring last season...in just 11 games! Hunt is a good RB, but Williams is essentially a bigger, faster, and more athletic version of Hunt. He also showed last season that he can produce in this offense. Williams had 5 starts last season after Hunt was released and Ware was injured. He averaged 114 yards and 2.2 TD's in those 5 starts. That stat line would have been the #1 fantasy RB over a full season. Now, obviously those TD numbers will come down...but he's still going to be elite. Andy Reid has produced a RB 1 for fantasy in 12 of his 20 seasons as head coach. So when you tell me I'm also getting a discount on an Andy Reid RB. Then I'm all in.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
You can say what you want about Brown's attitude but he has one heck of a work ethic which has led to him being one of the all-time great receivers. Derek Carr is a rough draw for him, but Brown is still in the second-tier of WRs and likely to reach double-digit TDs for the 5th time in 6 seasons. His minor concerns over the frostbite and threatened retirement drop his stock a bit, but he is still a WR1.Williams entered 2018 with virtually no production to his name but exploded when given the opportunity in Andy Reid's offense. So long as he can get healthy and earn his spot as the starter, he will be a top 20 running back with room for much more. That upside will depend entirely on his large of a role he can handle, as the offense is certain to score plenty of points. There is reason, however, to be worried about Darwin Thompson.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Brown is one of the great route runners in the game, and although he was looking at a sharp decline in his quarterback play and his touchdown numbers hid some of his regression last year, he was surely in line for double-digit targets per game and a likely WR1 season. Of course, with Brown comes drama, and we've already seen plenty of it this preseason. Brown has been dealing with frostbite on his feet, and is now purportedly threatening to retire unless he is permitted to use his old helmet, which is no longer allowed by the NFL. Even assuming Brown plays, which he likely will, he's cost himself time to build chemistry with Derek Carr. It's hard to draft Brown with any confidence at this point and until we see him actually on the field and practicing with Carr, fantasy owners would be wise to avoid him absent a steep drop in price.Williams was borderline dominant once he took over the starting running back role for the Chiefs in December, and his pass-catching abilities gave him what appeared to be an enormously high floor heading into this season even with only a small sample on which to rely. But an early hamstring injury brought out rumblings of a committee approach with Carlos Hyde, Darrel Williams, and Darwin Thompson, and there are conflicting reports as to Williams' workload. Because of his upside, Williams still makes an RB2, and a strong one at that. But drafting him is not without risk, so fantasy owners should make sure they have depth at the running back position if they take Williams with an early pick.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Move to OAK not an upgrade in terms of QB, offensive environment, but good reason to believe that, given Raiders offensive construct, Brown could very well lead NFL in targets (200+, maybe?)Fit the bill nicely in KC backfield after K. Hunt suspension/release - No. 2 RB in half-PPR FAN PPG over final 3 weeks - HC Reid's comments of RB committee ring hollow given that has never been his style
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Antonio Brown has been a top 5 WR every single season since 2013 under Big Ben. Those days are gone. Derek Carr is not Big Ben, and AB was a worse receiver last season. He is also considering retiring because of a helmet. The #1 RB in an Andy Reid offense is a fantasy stud. It's science. So get the RB that is going to lead this backfield. Oh yeah, Reid also never employs an RBBC, so don't believe that either.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Antonio Brown was third in True Target Value last season seeing 168 targets from Big Ben. If we assume AB sees the same amount of targets this season and consider the downgrade from Roethlisberger to Derek Carr throwing those passes, AB's TTV drops to 13th. He's a high-end WR2 with an unbelievable amount of off-field baggage. The value is not there at the moment in drafts.Damien Williams was a starter in 5 games last season. In those five games he saw at least 10 rushing attempts and at least 6 targets in every game but one. Furthermore, he scored a TD in every one of those games and actually scored 8 in total. Williams was extended by the Chiefs this offseason and only has Carlos Hyde (The worst receiving back in the NFL over the past few seasons - oh and his rushing numbers aren't very good either) and 5'8" 201lb 6th rounder Darwin Thompson. Damien Williams is not going to lose his job if healthy. Andy Reid also mentioned that he'd use an RBBC "like in Philly." If you look at Andy Reid's RBs over the last FIFTEEN seasons, he has used a RBBC one time. That was in 2009, when the Eagles were transitioning from Westbrook to McCoy. Other than that, Reid has sprinkled RBs like Ware and West in at times but that's about it. I expect this "RBBC" to be more of the same - a RBBC of sprinkles. Grab Williams at a value.

Fantasy Team Advice
Without timetable for return due to frostbite in his feet from cryptotherapy. Basically undraftable until we have a more concrete timeline on his recovery
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Antonio Brown now shifts from the Steelers to the Oakland Raiders and now has to begin life without Big Ben throwing him the ball. While Brown will still be a target monster in Oakland, it's easy to expect some drop-off in production due to the difference from Big Ben to Derek Carr throwing him the ball. Brown will still have every opportunity to succeed, but it's important to remember that the days of 1,500+ receiving yards for Antonio is most likely over.
