FantasyPros
If Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, there's almost no chance Adams finishes outside the top six or seven receivers in fantasy. He's Rodgers' favorite target, he has elite skills, and he's the main focus of the Packers' passing attack. We don't know what Matt LaFleur's offense will look like, but it doesn't matter. Adams should be behind DeAndre Hopkins, but probably no other receivers.Mixon's talent is undeniable, as he showed last year with his breakout season during which he averaged 20 touches and over 100 yards per game. Although he should (and will) be drafted as an RB1, his upside his capped some by two main issues. The first is the Bengals' offensive line, which is already dealing with significant holes. The second is the presence of Gio Bernard and Mixon's lack of significant involvement in the passing game. But his floor remains high, and fantasy owners should have no hesitations about drafting him as the top back on their team.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Adams was so ridiculously consistent last season it is a little mind blowing. Had a TD in 11 of 15 games and in the games he did not have a TD he went 8/81, 5/133, 10/166 and 8/119. HE NEVER SCORED SINGLE DIGITS. If you take his worst fantasy game of the season and multiply it by 16, HE WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN WR14.Mixon is a late round second pick going late first. He has a bad offensive line again, he had three games over 100 rushing yards despite having the 8th most carries of all RBs. He had three games with 5 or more receptions, and 8 weeks of 27 or less receiving yards. He is being overdrafted.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Combined 35 receiving TDs over past 3 seasons trails only Antonio Brown (36) - blossomed in PPR in '18, finishing 2nd in targets (169) and setting career high with 111 catches (75 was previous best)Became a true game-breaker in '18, with a hefty 10.5% of his 237 carries going for 14+ yards - has room to make greater strides in the passing game after catching 43 passes
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
His worst game last season was 8/81/0. Talk about consistency. An inefficient runner on a team with a bad offensive line. The Bengals best O-Lineman last season, Clint Boling, retired and then the Bengals recognized their needs and drafted Jonah Williams. Unfortunately, Williams tore his labrum. The Bengals also drafted Trayveon Williams and Rodney Anderson and still have Gio Bernard. His volume will make him a back-end RB1/high-end RB2, but he is just being drafted too high.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
To know that he finished as the No. 3 wide receiver in fantasy football despite Aaron Rodgers throwing just 25 touchdowns, it should let you know how high his ceiling actually is. It wasn't just one game, either. It took 14.9 PPR points on average to be a top-24 receiver in 2018, and Adams is the only receiver in the NFL who hit that number in every single one of his gamesYou have to love watching Marvin Lewis walk out the door if you're Mixon, as he was severely underused as a receiver in Lewis' offense. In comes Zac Taylor, who said he's going to start the Bengals playbook with the Rams offense, which is where he came from as a quarterbacks coach for Sean McVay. Them drafting two running backs is somewhat concerning, but that could be to protect them in case of a Mixon injury, which has happened a few times in his short career
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Adams finished behind Hopkins and Tyreek in fantasy points last year but he was #1 in points per game despite his QB playing on one leg. Adams has now been a WR1 for three straight seasons thanks to double-digit touchdowns every year. He should be gone before the 1/2 turn in most drafts. Were it not for the Bengals' best offensive lineman retiring and their first round rookie going on injured reserve, Mixon would be in consideration for a first round pick but with those big blows, his stock drops him down to a fringe RB1/RB2. He is extremely talented without question and may even be able to handle a huge workload but it won't matter if the offense can't support a running back.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Adams was one of the lone bright spots for a disappointing Green Bay Packers team and he should be an elite weapon again in 2019 playing with QB Aaron Rodgers.Mixon had 1,464 yards from scrimmage and 9 touchdowns in 2018. He should thrive in Zac Taylor's scheme that is very running back friendly .
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
Adams now enters his 6th season in the NFL finally getting the respect his numbers deserve. The last three seasons, Adams has put up a total of 35 touchdowns. LaFluer's offense concerns me, but when you have one of the greatest QB's to ever play the game throwing you the ball, it can overcome those concerns...Adams is a lock for another 10 TD's this year and you should feel confident having him as your team's WR1.Everything was looking up for Joe Mixon's fantasy stock in 2019 until the Bengals lost LT Jonah Williams for the season. Now, Mixon will be reliant upon rookie Head Coach Zac Taylor to scheme open running lanes and involvement in the passing game. Mixon's one of the true workhorse backs in the NFL and he should still contribute in a big way this season, even if his ceiling is slightly less with Williams going down for the year.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
I'll always admit when I'm wrong on a player. I didn't think Adams was this good. But he proved last season that he's an elite WR and when you pair someone of his talent level with Aaron Rodgers…then you have someone worthy of a first round pick in fantasy. Adams finished last season with 111/1389/13...through 15 weeks! He's that rare receiver that has a chance to lead the league in receptions and TD's. He does drop the ball more than we would like, but I really don't care about that stat for fantasy. All I look for is volume, and he's got just as much as anyone. He's 3rd in my projections with 158 targets, and we know that the red zone role is going to be massive. I have no problem if you want to take Hopkins over Adams. The projections, floor and upside are all extremely close. For me, the tie breaker comes down to their QB's...and Adams gets to catch balls from Aaron Rodgers.Mixon enters his third season as a pro at the age of 23. He posted a 93rd percentile height adjusted speed score, a 77th percentile SPARQ-x score, a 90th percentile college YPC and an 81st percentile college target market share. Mixon is an elite athlete, and he finally looks poised to take over bell cow duties in this backfield. He should improve upon his 237/1168/9 stat line from last season, as there's no legitimate competition behind him, and he projects to be amongst the league leaders in opportunity share. The Bengals ran the third fewest plays per game last season, and their offense should improve from just 23 points per game last season. A full 16 weeks from Mixon will make him a first round pick in 2020.
Kevin Wheeler
DraftWize
Davante Adams scored at least 16.0 PPR Points in every game last season, it was the highest minimum score of a guy who played over 10 games in @StaggsNFL database which dates back to 2013. Eric Decker had the next highest minimum at 11.7 points in 2013.
