Lineups
Packers' fans likely weren't thrilled about their team's lack of any meaningful additions in the passing game, but it means Davante Adams is in for another year of massive utilization. Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Allen Lazard, Marcedes Lewis - these are fine players but nobody who's going to be stealing work from Adams. If he plays all 16 games, there's no way he gets fewer than 150 targets.
Kevin Wheeler
The Draft Zone
Has been a WR2 or better in 73% of his games since 2017 @TheFFRealistA quick reminder Juju is still having a historic start to his career. He will be entering next season at only 23 years. Screaming buy after a down 2019 season.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Expect Adams to continue to line up all over the formation in head coach Matt LaFleur's offense. The slot was the key position in Green Bay's passing game in 2019, and Adams will likely end up once again getting the bulk of his reps there. After having started his NFL career with a pair of underwhelming seasons, he has established himself as one of the NFL's top receivers.Although Smith-Schuster moved into Pittsburgh's No. 1 receiver role after the team's trade of Antonio Brown prior to last season, his 2019 wasn't what fantasy owners were expecting. That was due in large part to quarterback Ben Roethlisberger suffering a season-ending injury in Week 2, and neither Mason Rudolph nor Duck Hodges emerging as an adequate replacement.
Dalton Kates
APEX Fantasy Leagues
Legit chance to lead the league in targets. Top TD threat makes up for lack of yards. Potential career year incoming at his peak age.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I'm convinced that because Adams missed part of the 2019 season, many don't realize just how consistent he's been over the last few years. He's played 27 games over the last two years, and he's scored 16-plus PPR points in 23 of them. The Packers didn't add a wide receiver in the draft, so it's not likely his massive target-share is going away. He's the only other receiver who should be considered close to Michael Thomas in drafts.Did everyone forget just how talented Smith-Schuster is because he had a down year in 2019? He played through multiple injuries and dealt with what was probably the worst quarterback situation in the league. In Week 1 and Week 2, when Ben Roethlisberger was on the field, Smith-Schuster saw 16 targets, catching 11 of them for 162 yards. Not too shabby. Insert bad quarterbacks, paired with Smith-Schuster trying to run routes from the perimeter, and it was a recipe for disaster. The Steelers have vowed to put him back in the slot where he belongs, and he's getting back Roethlisberger, who's continually supported fantasy receivers throughout his long career. Going all the way back to 2008, Ben Roethlisberger's No. 1 and No. 2 wide receivers combined for at least 225 targets on eight different occasions, including 334 times when he had Antonio Brown and Smith-Schuster in 2018. With Roethlisberger on the field, the Steelers haven't thrown the ball less than 584 times since way back in 2012. It's hard to see a scenario where Smith-Schuster doesn't see at least 130 targets if he's healthy (that would be just a 22.2 percent target share), which is elite volume, so even if he's average, he'd be a high-end WR2. I'll leave you with this... Smith-Schuster posted 1,426 yards in his second NFL season at the age of 22. There are just six players who posted more yardage in one of their first two seasons. The list includes Isaac Bruce, Josh Gordon, Torry Holt, Jerry Rice, Victor Cruz, and Odell Beckham Jr. We can't pretend Smith-Schuster is anywhere close to average. He's worth a third-round pick in drafts, even though many are getting him in the fourth.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
Misses 4 games last season and still a monster year for him. Lock Adams in again for 2020 and with a more balanced offense, he could really dial up some big playsA healthy Big Ben is the key for top 10 WR fantasy territory
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
The lone man in the Packers passing attack. You'd be hard pressed to find a more reliable pick in fantasy footballThe prototypical bounceback pick. If we took him as a WR1 in 2019, and Ben went down, what has changed? Very little. JuJu is a dynamite pick at ADP
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
When on the field, there isn't a more consistent WR in all of fantasy football than Davante Adams. Over the last two years, Adams played in 27 games, he scored 16+ PPR points in 23 of them. Additionally, the Packers did not add any competition at WR this offseason which should only mean more targtes for Adams.Heading into the 2019 season there wasn't a WR more primed for a breakout than Juju Smith-Schuster and then Ben Roethlisberger got hurt. That changed Juju's entire season turning him from a WR1 to a WR3 pretty quickly. Now, with BIg Ben slated to return, Juju has a legitimate shot to finish as a WR1 in 2020. We know he has the talent, now it's just about Roethlisberger and himself staying healthy.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Could rebound in a huge way w/ Big Ben back, but the emergences of Diontae Johnson and James Washington as real talents could cloud the previous target-hog role he was destined for. And who knows if he can truly handle No.1 corners? The Alphas are typically more QB Proof than this.

Could also push for NFL target lead - turf toe led to 4 DNPs, 1st sub-10 TD effort (5) since 2015, but 2020 Alpha status cemented with 4 TDs, 122 YPG in final 5 games (inc. playoffs)Backend WR2 production thru Week 8 with QB Rudolph, but injuries (to JuJu, Rudolph) derailed 2nd half - Big Ben's return should help restore JuJu to WR Top 15

I grant that I'm nitpicking numbers here but. at the end of the day, Davante Adams has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards just one time in his career. While he's uber consistent on the field, he has trouble staying on it. You know what you're getting with Adams, but history says he won't get to his ceiling.

Adams may lead the league in targets when this season is all said and done. There are very few other imposing weapons on Green Bay and Rodgers trust Adams. He's a lock for 160-plus targets if he can stay healthy and 10 touchdowns isn't out of the realm of possibilities. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Adams finished the season as the No. 1 fantasy WR.Smith-Schuster hurt a lot of people last season with his performance combined with the price you had to pay to get him in drafts. However, Big Ben is back behind center this season, which is crucial for the offense's success a whole. While I don't believe Juju has top-5 fantasy potential this season, he should be in the conversation for a low-end WR1/high-end WR2 all year long.

Davante Adams was the WR1 for a lot of people last year and very little has changed. Adams was excellent when he was healthy, he still has Aaron Rodgers and absolutely no competition for targets so there's no reason he can't compete for the WR1 title again. The main reason for caution is the desire of Matt LaFleur to run more, but the Packers will still need to throw a heap and Adams has a sensationally high floor. Lock him in as a mid-round 1 pick with huge upside. It's very difficult to project JuJu in 2020. After an amazing pair of breakout seasons, he massively disappointed thanks to injury and awful QB play. While Big Ben is back, JuJu remains a question mark thanks to the emergence of Diontae Johnson and James Washington and the arrival of Chase Claypool and Eric Ebron. I hope to see JuJu man the slot and get a large target volume but he remains a big risk you should avoid in the first two-three rounds.

He definitely didn't take hold of the alpha roll in Pittsburgh but I think the season is mostly a wash because of the QB change. It was a bit concerning that he was outpaced in targets by Diontae. And before he gets some hype from Big Ben returning let's not forget he had less targets than Washington, and Diontae, yes he played 80 less snaps but I have my concerns. And if the rumors of not resigning him are true, and with the addition of Claypool, the Steelers apparently have concerns as well.

The only reason Adams slipped in fantasy was four missed games with turf toes that derailed his fantasy season. He is still an elite fantasy option and he should rebound at 28-years old in 2020.A combination of 4 missed games and playing with 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks derailed Smith-Schuster in 2019. He should rebound from 42 receptions, 552 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdowns, especially if Big Ben is healthy and the Big Ben of old.
