One of the greatest discounts in all of fantasy football year-over-year is rookie RBs in redraft leagues. The casual fantasy manager isn't quite sure about who this player is and what they bring to the table, so they choose to focus in on players that they do know instead. Harris - most likely - isn't going to ascend into the top-10 of ADP (Average Draft Position) this off-season, but he has a very good chance of finishing in that range when it's all said and done. The Steelers invested significant draft capital in this player due to needing to balance out the offense and Harris has the size and skillset to shoulder a huge workload for this offense. He's a fantastic receiver out of the backfield and Big Ben should be looking to funnel targets his way repeatedly. If you can snag Harris as your RB2 in fantasy football this season, that's a winning strategy. My Very Early Projection: 285-1167-8 rushing & 59-482-2 receiving.I was the one pounding the drum for David Montgomery last season when he was being drafted as the 25th RB off the board. With that being said, in no way did I anticipate a top-5 finish! Despite a truly terrible offense, Montgomery produced for fantasy managers and helped deliver some titles with his dominant stretch to end the year. Unfortunately, we shouldn't be expecting that same level of dominance in 2021. Tarik Cohen will be back and healthy eventually, which means a dramatic dip in receiving production for Montgomery. Additionally, Damien Williams was added to this backfield to take the Cordarrelle Patterson role, which will take some carries away too. Montgomery is still going to provide fantasy managers with a very safe floor week after week, but we need to temper our expectations for the young RB heading into this season. Fantasy players that draft Montgomery thinking that they're going to get 2020 production are most likely going to be disappointed. It's safe to view Montgomery as a mid-range RB2.

Sleepers and Busts
Najee Harris is such an impressive RB. He is a three down RB who has the goods and fights for every yard. The bad news is the situation he's in. While Pittsburgh will make him an every down RB, their line is garbage and Big Ben is washed up. I don't see this turning out well. The 2nd/3rd round is too high for a guy on an offense which figures to struggle.UPDATE- The addition of OT Teven Jenkins in the draft was supposed to help bolster a Bears line that badly needed an upgrade. Unfortunately, Jenkins is headed for surgery (back). The Bears signed former Eagles LT Jason Peters. Peters is no spring chicken at 39. If he struggles, Monty and the Bears offense are in trouble. Chicago also traded up to take a certain QB who played his college ball at THE Ohio State University, Justin Fields. Monty needs this offense to take a step forward and score some TDs for him to reach his potential. I'm still skeptical. After all this is the Bears we're talking about.

Pittsburgh's offensive line is a mess, but Harris should be in line for as many carries and receptions as he can handle. The Steelers fell apart at the end of last season due in large part to a one-dimensional offensive approach. This season, the first-round investment into Harris signals a more balanced gameplan that should elevate a Pittsburgh run game that ranked dead last in the NFL in 2020. The talented Alabama product is a no-brainer RB1 in his inaugural season. How does a guy who finished last season as RB4 get knocked way the hell down to RB23? Competition. In Monty's magical 2020, Tarik Cohen missed almost the entire season, allowing the former to more than double his receptions and receiving yards from 2019. Damien Williams was brought in to replace Cordarrelle Patterson, so Montgomery could lose some touches to him as well. I'm fine with Monty as a back-end RB2, but I can't see him approaching RB1 territory.

Harris' massive volume expectations trumps the OL concerns - J-Rob, J Jacobs, Zeke and M. Gordon were all Top 10 in rush yards despite subpar OL run block grades (PFF) in 2020We preach volume is king in fantasy, so it's nice to hear HC Nagy claiming Montgomery could very well see 20+ carries week in, week out

Running backs are at their prime when they enter the NFL, which makes them the most valuable their rookie season, unlike quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends. Because of that, Harris, who takes over as the Steelers' lead back, is someone you want to have on your roster. The Steelers are a team that hasn't been shy about giving running backs 18-plus touches per game with Mike Tomlin at the helm. You don't draft a three-down back like Harris in the first round and put him in some timeshare. I wouldn't be surprised to see him average 20-plus touches per game, which puts him smack dab in the middle of the RB1 conversation.Sure, Montgomery finished as the RB4 last year. There were many factors that led to that, particularly the injury to Tarik Cohen, freeing up tons of targets in the passing game. Over the course of Montgomery's short career, he's played 19 games with Cohen and 12 games without him. In the games with Cohen, he averaged 2.32 targets per game. In the 12 games without him, that number rose to 4.92 targets per game. Well, Cohen is back, and the team signed Damien Williams, who's a better receiving back than Montgomery. On top of Cohen missing, the Bears had a ridiculously easy schedule down the stretch, playing against the Packers twice, Lions, Texans, Vikings, and Jaguars to close out the season. Did you know that Montgomery was the RB20 after 10 weeks (prior to starting that schedule)? He's a fine low-end RB2, but don't go about your day thinking you're getting a steal in the fourth round or anything.

Harris should enter the league as a 3-down back with instant fantasy appeal. I see him as a RB2 with upside, depending on how Big Ben looks in 2021 and if their offensive line can play better this year.Montgomery had 237.8 fantasy points last year, but that was fueled by the final five games coming against teams that were in the Bottom-7 against fantasy running backs. I like Montgomery to be a solid running back in 2021, but I view him as more of a RB2 than an RB1 with Tarik Cohen coming back from injury.

Talk about a match made in fantasy nerd heaven. Harris to the Steelers fits like a glove, and though the offensive line was a major concern last season, the Steelers have pumped out good offensive lines season after season, and addition by subtraction might be in order. Either way, expect a newly much more timid Big Ben to check down to the big-bodied Harris over and over again, in addition to 15-20 carries a game.

Absolutely perfect landing spot: his three-down abilities will be utilized to the fullest under Mike Tomlin. Immediate Top-5 upside already.*UPDATE* I do LOVE the Fields pick for this entire offense. No one finished hotter, but Montgomery preyed on weakest SOS and w/ no Cohen stealing work and now Damien Williams is here w/ Matt "Too Cute" Nagy returning to OC after Bill Lazor called the shots for DMont's explosion. Everything's stacking up ugly, besides Fields... which could offset it all.
