FantasyPros
Landry should assume the Stefon Diggs role in this Kevin Stefanski offense now in Cleveland. There's not going to be exorbitant amount of targets to go around, but OBJ and Landry will see plenty to be relevant for fantasy football. Every single year, Landry has outperformed his ADP and I expect him to do it yet again this season. He's a fine WR2 option for your roster every single week.Unfortunately, Samuel recently suffered an injury that puts his availability for the beginning of the NFL season in jeopardy. He now has more competition at the position for targets too with Brandon Aiyuk and Trent Taylor back in the fold. Samuel's a WR4 with upside right now, in my opinion.

Up slightly, assuming his hip is healthy and he's ready Week 1.A broken foot has me dropping him well outside of my top-30 WRs.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Landry is seemingly always undervalued and it's risky doing it again, but he did have hip surgery this offseason, and we are expecting much more out of Odell Beckham. Not just that, but the addition of Austin Hooper means they're going to target the tight end position a lot more under Kevin Stefanski. It just doesn't feel likely that Landry will see the 138 or 149 targets he did over the last two seasons. Still, here's a fun fact: There have been three wide receivers who've been top-24 fantasy options in each of the last five seasons. Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Landry. It was odd to see Samuel finish as a top-30 wide receiver last year, because it didn't feel that way throughout the year. He saw just 81 targets and had just two games with more than eight targets. The 49ers offense is going to be run-heavy, but Samuel will be the go-to guy when they do drop back to pass. He's also included in the run-game, as evidenced by his 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns last year. It's tough to see him having a true breakout season, especially when he suffered a broken foot during offseason training. The rumor is that he may not even be ready for Week 1 of the season. When a pass-catcher has foot surgery in the same calendar year, it usually means bad things for fantasy purposes. You may want to wait until 2021 to invest a redraft pick on the young receiver.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Samuel suffered a broken foot (a Jones fracture, near the mid-point of the foot) on June 16th and had surgery that same day. He's been given a 10-week timetable for his return to action - six weeks for the fracture to heal plus four weeks to gradually return to playing shape - which would put him back to full speed in late-August and on track to start the season with the 49ers. It's worth noting, however, that Trent Taylor suffered an identical injury last year and, because of issues during the surgery, wound up missing the season. There's no reason to expect an identical fate for Samuel, but it's a cautionary tale that warrants consideration as we head into draft season. For now, it's worth considering drafting Samuel as a borderline WR3, but that ranking will likely shift depending on how the news of his recovery plays out.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Deebo Samuel suffered a broken foot on Tuesday (6/16) during a throwing session with teammates in Nashville and will be having surgery. It is being reported as a Jones fracture, and that he should be able to be on the field early in the season. That doesn't add up for me, Jones fractures are NOT good or easy recovery, in fact they often need a second surgery from what I understand. I'm staying away.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
No 13 WR in FAN PPG from Weeks 10-17 - SF not a pass-heavy attack, but will likely open up a little more for in 2020, with Deebo and TE Kittle hogging those targets
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Just had his most efficient season. Career high in yards, and yards per reception. Hasn't been under 130 targets since his rookie season. King of the 1100 yard, 5 TD season. The coaching has changed but barring additional weapons I think he'll still be your trusty WR3(Hello Hooper). Wasn't effected by Hunt's presence. 8.875 targets with/8.3 without. Hooper could present a problem as the each gained most of their targets over the same area of the field last year.A little worried about the ceiling anyone can have on the passing side in the way this current offense is set up. They've gone from to 2nd, 20th, and 29th in passing the last 3 years while moving up from 22nd, to 11th, and then 2nd in rushing attempts. This is the offense that Shanahan has built and I'm not sure anyone besides Kittle will lead the team in targets and Kittle barely got over 100 this year. His YAC ability will have to pave his way to success. The Pros: Sanders AVG 5.3 TGT/GAME with the 49ers over 10 weeks. During that time, Deebo was WR18, scoring less than 12 fantasy points only twice in that span. As much as Aiyuk might be a pest, to give him the same target volume as what Sanders earned would put him at 3 more targets his rookie year than what Deebo logged. Bringing Aiyuk in was more indicative of the other supporting WRs and exit of Sanders. A sneaky rushing base also helps boost Deebo's base. And while maintaining a strong run to pass ratio is what any team wants, we can't assume they will be bottom 10 in the league in pass ATT in 2020 again.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Landry was the better fantasy player over OBJ, finishing with 1,184 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. That is a big reason there was a coaching change in Cleveland and I would expect OBJ to be the more targeted player in 2020 with Landry being more of a WR3.
