After a disappointing 2019 season in which he was obviously still recovering from an Achilles injury suffered in 2018, Jones' fantasy production rebounded a bit last year. But that was largely due to him generating a career high 4.5 sacks. Given that his previous career high was one, I'm not banking on him being able to replicate that this year. And his tackle production isn't strong enough post Achilles injury to lift him out of the LB3+ tier for me.Watt is probably the fantasy linebacker that has the most variance in value depending on the scoring system. With three straight seasons of 14 or more sacks, we know he's a year in and year out contender for the sack title and a bona-fide LB1 stud in big-play scoring formats. However, in balanced scoring formats such as the one used to build these rankings, he falls in the LB3 tier despite the gaudy sacks and FF numbers as he's likely to max out at around 65 total tackles.

Had 26 impact plays as a rookie in 2016. Two of those being touchdowns and 3 being interceptions but since then has been a bit of a headache but.....it finally happened. Deion Jones got his mojo back in a big way in 2020 finishing as an LB1 for the first time since 2017. Jones made his hay as a true impact player posting an imposing 25. He enjoyed some pass-rushing success in 2020 with 4.5 total sacks, a career-best. It was good to see Jones put together back to back fully healthy seasons. Injury has been prevalent throughout his career but that appears behind him now. It's a funny tidbit but it was the 3rd season in a row that Jones has scored a defensive touchdown and his 5 defensive touchdowns in his 5-year career. Regarded by many to be the prototype for the new NFL defender, he's a great sideline to sideline defender who can make plays on the ball. - The Ultimate IDP IndexIt was another banner year for TJ Watt. Since entering the league he has been one of the most formidable defenders all around. As a pass rusher, he's already solidified himself in the top 3 conversations. Boasting gaudy pressure numbers and the sacks to back them up. He led the NFL in sacks (15) and tackles for loss (23) in 2020. Both also career-best for Watt, while only appearing in 15 games as he rested Week 17 as the Steelers had already secured a playoff berth. The boom or bust narrative that is often flippantly associated with pass-rushing outside linebackers doesn't apply to Watt. Excluding his rookie season (2017) he averages 3.7tkl/gm, 2.7 solo and 1 assist, 0.9sk/gm, 1.9 impact plays/gm, 2.08QBH/gm. That equates to 21 points per game. He posted 33 impact plays in 2020, an elite number. Watt can score all over the field year in and year out. A particularly potent skill set is his ability to defend passes. He's batted 7 or more passes in 3 of his 4 NFL seasons. You love to see it.TJ Watt is the #1 asset in dynasty IDP fantasy football in my opinion. He's still on his rookie contract and leads the NFL in Sacks, TFLs and QB Hits in 2020. There is a good chance he is a Steeler for his entire career, which is largely regarded to be one of the best organizations in football as far as legacy, standards, and how they honor their franchise players. - The Ultimate IDP Index
