Lineups
Courtland Sutton is entering his third pro season in what should be a much-improved offense. The additions of Melvin Gordon, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler, as well as new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, should help open things up for second-year quarterback Drew Lock. Sutton is still the leading receiver on this team and after a WR19 finish in Lock's rookie year, he should continue to improve. Sutton is a big-bodied, contested-catch machine who has 10-touchdown upside at some point. The Broncos won't be a high-volume passing offense, but they will likely run more plays than last season and Sutton will benefit.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Once Emmanuel Sanders was dealt to San Francisco a week prior to the NFL's trade deadline last October, Sutton emerged as the clear-cut top option in Denver's passing game. He does come with a small amount of risk from a fantasy perspective with unproven second-year quarterback Drew Lock under center, but Sutton enters 2020 as the Broncos' most explosive weapon. After posting four 100-yard games and scoring a total of nine touchdowns in 53 games over his first four NFL seasons, Parker matched each of those totals over 16 games in 2019. He broke out over the second half of last season, catching 44 passes for 802 yards and five scores over Miami's final eight games. His inconsistent past makes him a bit of a risk heading into 2020.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Courtland Sutton had a sensational breakout in 2019, despite playing with a bizarre array of mediocre quarterbacks. Concerningly though, he wasn't at his best with Drew Lock, getting no more than five receptions in a Lock game. To add to the issues, the team has signed possession receiver Jerry Jeudy, speedster KJ Hamler, big body Albert O and superior receiving back Melvin Gordon. That means Sutton's very high 26% target share is going to take a major hit. In an offense with low passing numbers, low snap counts and for a receiver with low per-target efficiency, it's looking bleak for Courtland Sutton. He's a bust possibility with a limited ceiling in an offence that will take time to come together. After four years of mediocrity, the Devante Parker breakout finally happened in 2019 on the back of some Fitzmagic from his QB. With the Dolphins significantly improved, a relevant run game, the likely emergence of Tua and the return of Preston Williams, it's highly unlikely Parker reaches his WR7 finish from last year. Luckily, you can draft him late in the fourth round and enjoy a solid floor with some massive upside if the Dolphins continue tossing it up as they chase games.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
What a year for Sutton in 2019, eh? He didn't finish as high as some thought (WR19), but it was a miracle he finished there if you were to go back and watch some of the passes he came down with. His 125 targets were the 15th most among wide receivers, though it's hard to see that continuing. He had zero competition for targets last year, which is why he saw over 50 percent of the ones that went to wide receivers. He'll now have to contend with first-round pick Jerry Jeudy, who's the most polished receiver who's come out in the last five years, and second-round pick KJ Hamler in the starting lineup. That's not to mention Melvin Gordon, who's an established pass-catcher out of the backfield. Sutton is clearly a star, but this offense is now littered with talented pass catchers. There were just two games all last year Sutton saw fewer than seven targets, but I think that number goes up this year. He was a middling WR2 last year with those high target totals, yet he's being drafted essentially where he finished last year, and that's despite the improved talent around him. If Sutton wants to finish better than a low-end WR2/high-end WR3, he's going to need double-digit touchdowns, and that's just not something I can predict given the talent around him. It's about time, right? I remember last year on the podcast talking about Parker, saying there's a clear avenue for him to see 100-plus targets and that if Fitzpatrick was starting, I wanted him on my roster. Here we are 128 targets and a No. 7 wide receiver finish later. Fun fact: Parker and Michael Thomas were the only two receivers who posted at least 55 yards in 13 games last year. You were able to get Parker outside the top 60 wide receivers last year, something that isn't happening this time around. His current draft position is right around WR20-22, so you're receiving a discount from last year's production, and rightfully so. Preston Williams is back from his ACL injury, which isn't great news for Parker, who was the No. 34 wide receiver through nine weeks with Williams in the lineup. That was really solid for him considering where he was drafted, but once Williams left, Parker exploded and finished as the No. 2 wide receiver the remainder of the season. Part of the reason that happened was due to Ryan Fitzpatrick's willingness to target him relentlessly, as he averaged 9.5 targets per game over that span. To be fair, Williams is coming back, but both Allen Hurns and Albert Wilson have opted out of the season, clearing up 110 targets from last year. Knowing Fitzpatrick is starting the season under center helps me feel more confident in Parker, but there's certainly hesitation in drafting him this year as the Dolphins defense is going to be much better, which will result in fewer pass attempts, and that they'll be moving to a rookie quarterback at some point. I think he's best viewed as a stable WR3 who comes with top-12 upside. If I knew Fitzpatrick would start all year, he'd be a WR2.
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
The connection with Drew Lock is there and now its time for that offense to take it to the next level. Tons of potential and now is the time to put it all togetherTop 5 in WR touchdowns and receptions last season, Parker made a hug statement and should be a top target in FF drafts
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Facing more competition for targets, but true WR1 skillset. Ideal WR3 if you can land him there.Chosen as "MyGuy" this year, coming off a WR7 finish with elite consistency, Parker is one of the best picks in fantasy football
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
There was plenty of hype surrounding Sutton leading up to the 2019 season and he did not disappoint. Even while playing with below-average QB play, Sutton managed 1,112 receiving yards and six TDs. Now as Drew Lock enters year two under center, we could see Sutton improve on his already impressive 2019 numbers. It finally happened. The DeVante Parker breakout season finally happened in 2019 and now Parker is in an even better situation with Tua Tagovailoa expected to start at some point, if not Week 1. Anytime you draft a Dolphin you're taking a risk but Parker is one guy who's definitely worth the risk.

4th at WR in end zone targets (14), 1st in TeamAirYards% and NFL-high 8 Defensive PI penalties drawn for 150 yards speaks to the nightmare matchup he isCompared to 2019 finish (No. 7 WR in FAN PTS), going at a major discount in early ADP - sorry, I'm not nearly as threatened by Preston Williams as the consensus

2019 16-game Pace with Preston Williams on the field: 800 yards and 8 TDs. 2020 16-game pace with Preston Williams OUT: 1600 yards and 10 TDs. Parker's target separation ranked 90th last season. His success simply came from a barrage of targets from Fitz, who simply targets one or two WRs. Williams is back, Tua may take over at some point, I'll pass on Parker at ADP.

Sutton had 1,129 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns playing with 3 starting quarterbacks in 2019. If Drew Lock can emerge as a reliable starter, Sutton has the talent to be in the WR1 discussion in 2020.Parker finally had the breakout season we thought he would have when he was drafted, tallying 1202 yards from scrimmage and 9 touchdowns. He is a bit risky having done that on a really bad team in his Age 26 season, but I think he can maintain WR2 value if he can stay healthy in 2020.

Sutton has all the talent in the world to be a top-12 fantasy wide receiver, but there are some legitimate obstacles in his way that could prevent that from happening. This offense may not throw the ball enough to return that type of target volume and he has legitimate competition for targets now with Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. Sutton's a solid WR2 for your fantasy roster that comes with potential top-12 upside if everything goes his way.Parker's an extremely talented wide receiver that has developed chemistry with Ryan Fitzpatrick. As long as Parker's 2019 season wasn't a fluke, which I don't believe it was, he'll be in the borderline WR1 conversation all season long.

Flacco 1-8(8 Games): 12.6ppg Allen 9-12(3 Games): 11.44ppg Lock 13-17(5 Games): 10.2ppg He averaged his least ppg with Lock but also received his only double digit target games with Lock, a growing, rookie QB with a big arm.Are we just going to ignore the fast that Parker was immediately out targeted 60-52 to a UDFA. Or is an offense with no other weapons, and scoring 9 TDs the more likely answer for his success? His breakout was because of huge increase in success rate versus man and press, but he was still a bottom half percentile player at both, he just had Fitzpatrick not caring about throwing into tight windows. Not a problem if Fitz plays out the whole season. A long term concern for me though.

Chan Gailey's spread-attack should only help Parker, assuming they bring back Fitzpatrick
