FantasyPros
Let's be clear - when you go from Aaron Rodgers to Derek Carr, there's going to be a massive efficiency decline. One positive from the move to the Raiders is that it appears they'll be using him in the slot, similarly to the way that the Cardinals use Larry Fitzgerald. Nelson isn't as physically imposing as Fitzgerald, and he's also got to compete with Amari Cooper for targets. While Nelson will be usable as a safe WR4 play most weeks, he doesn't offer you much upside. There are a lot of fantasy players who are bailing on Parker at this point in his career, and while I get why they'd want to do that, it's a mistake. He's a former first-round pick who is 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, who has produced when he's been healthy. There've been 25 games in which he's seen at least five targets, and in those games he's averaged 68.2 yards and 0.3 touchdowns, which is low-end WR2 numbers. He did that with Jarvis Landry on the team, who is now a Cleveland Browns receiver. It's rare to find a player this late in drafts who has 120-target potential, but Parker does. If he stays healthy, he's likely going to finish as a top-30 wide receiver with upside for more. Update: Parker is going to miss multiple weeks with a broken finger, which should temper expectations, though he's still undervalued.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Nelson tallied 164 yards in eight games without Aaron Rodgers. He now plays for the Raiders, who do not employ Rodgers. Buying low on the WR2 from both 2014 and 2016 is nevertheless tempting, but he didn't produce a single TD or 40-yard performance without his elite teammate. Don't reach for the 33-year-old in his first year away from Green Bay. If he falls outside the top 100, the TD potential is tougher to ignore.Anyone who only follows football through preseason fantasy analysis will think Parker is one of football's finest wideouts. Once again expected to take a seismic leap, he once again underwhelmed by scoring once in 13 games. He also garnered 96 targets in 13 games and 35 of them in Miami's final four contests. Jarvis Landry vacated 161 targets (21 inside the red zone), giving Parker his best opportunity yet to meet the hype. A broken finger should derail the usual August hype, perhaps making him available at a fair price for a change.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
After being a top-three fantasy receiver two straight years, Nelson disappeared last year, posting more than 100 fewer points than the previous year and finishing as a WR5. Now that he is in a new offense and playing in the slot, we might see him split the difference in half making him a useful flex play many weeks.Sure, he was a major letdown last year, and the year before, but this could be the year. You might be tired of hearing that, but with Jarvis Landry gone and Tannehill back, are you seriously going to suggest Danny Amendola or Kenny Stills will step in as the top receiver in this offense? Be honest, you know it is Parker and you've gotta buy that lottery ticket once again.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
"Jordy is washed up." "Jordy is too old." "Jordy has lost a step." @friscojosh calls bupkis and names Nelson one of his Three Wide Receivers Primed to Break Out. (4for4) I obviously disagree...DeVante Parker posted WR3 numbers 61.5% of the time, while Adam Thielen posted WR3 numbers 56.5% of the time. @MikeTagliereNFL

QB List
I know many are incredibly hyped to see Jordy rocking the black and silver in Oakland (for now), but unfortunately Jordy appears to be a lesser version of the receiver we've known and loved in fantasyland for the past 8 seasons +. He appears slower, more worn down by his career injuries at a ripe 33 years old, and he enters a WR situation where for the first time (not counting the end of last year) he is not the primary option. For the past 3 seasons, Jordy has averaged a MASSIVE 140+ targets per season, well above the average targets per season of consistent fantasy stud Michael Thomas. In addition, he likely won't be the primary target in the red zone either, making the 11 TD's per season he's averaged over the past 3 a lost fantasy. He could always be great within the Raiders passing attack, but his share of targets will make sure that great isn't all that great.Devante Parker was supposed to be the stud opposite Jarvis Landry in Miami, but seeing as he plays for the Dolphins, of course it didn't work out as planned. However, with Tannehill returning to the fold, and Landry and his massive target share gone from Miami, Parker has a big opportunity to perform. Keep in mind though, that Parker has not shown good skills or physical traits in the past year. Take it with a grain of salt, but the opportunity is there as he seems like the defacto #1 receiver in Miami.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
The Packers released Nelson, and the Raiders signed him to be their No. 2 receiver after releasing Michael Crabtree. I don't like the move, but it's done and Nelson will have some value in Oakland as the No. 2 receiver.I have Parker in dynasty and turned down some really good offers for him, so at this point, I'm just hoping he can live up to some of his potential. Jarvis Landry is gone; the Dolphins have a rookie tight end, and Kenny Stills is the only player who could see more targets. I'll give Parker one more season.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Nelson could be a massive steal if the Packers got his release wrong. Still, there are a ton of mouths to feed in OAK and he sure looked slow last yearParker steps into a huge role with Landry leaving. It all depends if he's ready to break out
