Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
While it seems that the Broncos drafted Royce Freeman to jump in as the lead-back from Week 1, it isn't certain quite yet. Booker is said to have the starting job for now, and while that may still mean a split backfield, Booker is worth drafting just in case. The Dolphins continue to list Gore as a co-starter with Kenyan Drake. While Gore may get a few points here and there, I can't imagine anyone is excited enough about him in a split backfield within a crummy offense to consider drafting him in even a deep league.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Averaging 3.6 YPC over two years, picking Booker is a bet of him getting more volume than rookie Royce Freeman. He found pay dirt once despite receiving 17 red-zone carries, but also produced 14.8 PPR points in his only game playing the majority of Denver's snaps. Despite what the depth chart says, Freeman looks poised to assume C.J. Anderson's leading rushing role, which leaves Booker as bench fodder. Here's the list of every RB to record at least 260 carries in each of the past three seasons: Frank Gore. End of list. Yet that run should come to an end after the 35-year-old joined Miami to spell Kenyan Drake. At least, that originally seemed like the idea. They look poised to split playing time, but one of fantasy's finest values throughout his thirties still looks like a TD-dependent matchup play who has not cleared 4.0 YPC since 2014. All great things must come to an end eventually.

QB List
Personally, I'm a Royce Freeman believer, and that's partly why I have Booker as low as I do. Could Booker get the majority of the work Week 1? Sure, that's definitely possible, but even if he does I don't expect him to hang onto the job for long. He's had and lost the starting job too many times for me to have any faith in him, and he ended the year last year with a -9.2% DVOA. However, he's still worth a grab in the later rounds on the chance that he gets the starting gig and hangs onto it-even if he's not that good, being a starting running back in the NFL is worth something in fantasy.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
There are reports that Booker will share the load with Royce Freeman, but I just haven't seen enough out of Booker to take that news as actionable in these rankings. I believe Freeman gets some leeway and plenty of chances to lead the Broncos on the ground. The ageless wonder will again get work this year but how much is once again the question. He has lost a step and should be relegated as a backup to Kenyan Drake, but coaches like solid blockers and leaders and all that. He will get work.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I love Royce Freeman's game, which is why I don't view Booker as a threat to him. With that being said, NFL teams sometimes do some weird things and make rookies "earn their stripes." Booker is someone who played behind C.J. Anderson the last few years, and the Broncos cut Anderson this offseason. Then they drafted Freeman in the third-round. What does that tell you about Booker? He's just a handcuff and not one that you should go out of your way to draft, as we've seen him in a workhorse role before back in 2016. It wasn't pretty. You want to say that Gore wouldn't have gone to the Dolphins to just sit on the bench in his final year, but it's hard seeing him receive many touches with youngsters Kenyan Drake and Kalen Ballage on the roster. But still, why would the Dolphins sign him if they weren't planning on at least using him in a 8-10 touch per game role? It's an odd situation for sure, but knowing that Gore has averaged just 3.8 yards per carry over the last three years makes your life easier. His best days are behind him and he's playing behind what will be one of the worst offensive lines in his career. You're better off looking for someone who presents actual upside late in drafts.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Could get first crack at being the lead back in Denver. Booker's per-carry average of 3.6 yards is 27th out of the 29 backs in 2016-17 who had at least 250 carries (Booker had 253). "He's got to come out and work and earn the right to be the (first) guy," Joseph said. "He understands that with C.J. gone, it's a wide open race. He's a good football player, but we want more from him, obviously." denverpost.com While the Dolphins are counting on Drake to be the featured back, Gore isn't being brought in strictly as an aging mentor to the young guy. "We'll figure it out," Gase said of the workload. "This is no different than what we were kind of doing with Damien and Kenyan last year. I mean it's a long season. We got caught in a couple of situations last year where Kenyan was the only guy we had and he had to take the majority of the carries. Really, that's not what we want over a 16-game season. That's going to be tough. We'll make sure that we spread this thing out well. We'll use both of those guys the right way." -Palm Beach Post Frank Gore said he thinks moving from #Colts turf to #Dolphins grass field will help his post-game recovery each week. Also sounds like he feels he has something to prove back in his hometown. @EvanSilva

Booker is a solid talent but he has been a bust so far and he has competition. I like him as a late flier but I can't invest early in him

This is Freeman's backfield but Booker has the talent to carve out a significant roleGore's value takes a hit with Ballage in town but this is Miami after all; anything can happen
