He's back and our Scout Fantasy founder and former #1 ranked player in the World, Ian Ritchie named him his comeback player of the year.
Chet Gresham

Perkins could be the Giants' No. 1 running back this year. We'll see how it goes, but he has the inside track at the moment, and if they use him well, his PPR upside could be great.Martin should remain the lead back after his three-game suspension. He will likely concede touches to a few different backs, but I think he'll hold onto the lead role.

QB List
Perkins is not a special talent, but the Giants' overloaded WR corps means that he should rarely see stacked boxes. Still his TD upside is low.Martin is suspended the first three games after failing a PED test. Very inconsistent throughout his career, there is a real risk that he does not immediately return to a starters' role.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
The talent and role are there but it's tough to trust an unproven backThe Muscle Hamster could be a dud or he could be one of the biggest steals in the draft. I'm currently leaning on steal
Sablich Brothers
5th Down Fantasy
Clear no. 1 option for GMen; zero rushing TDs in 2016 with Jennings on team; great upside potential if used more in passing game and goal line. Facing three-game suspension; followed up stellar 2015 campaign with horrid injury-plagued 2016 and a 2.9 YPC; contract year could get him back on track, but far from certain; weak o-line a concern.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Looks like he'll only be sharing the backfield with Vereen, but I'm sure the Giants will be drafting or buying someone they don't need.Bucs GM Jason Licht said Sunday there are no assurances suspended RB Doug Martin will regain his starting job following his three-game ban.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
While Wayne Gallman may be Perkins' only competition, there is no guarantee he will hang onto this job. He was among the least talented and productive starting running backs last season so you ought to consider him one rough stretch from losing all the expected touches that have been driving up his ADP.The Muscle Hampster has been fully healthy just two seasons in his career. He was a top 12 fantasy player in both of those seasons. Granted, we know he is missing 3 games to start the year, but he apparently looks better than ever and has put the demons behind him. If we see the good version of Martin, he could end up a top 5 running back come playoff time.

Perkins came on toward the end of his rookie season, but don't expect much more than occasional flex value in 2017. Auction Value $7 Martin will miss the first four games of the season due to suspension. When he returns, he will likely share time with Jacquizz Rodgers. Auction Value $4
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Martin has looked very good in OTAs. He does have to serve a 3-game suspension, but it looks like he should retain the starting role when he returns and have a chance to be a low-end flex on an explosive offense that figures to use a RBBC.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After the Giants passed on all free agent running backs, it appears to be the Perkins show in New York. He was better than perceived at the end of 2016, and will now be on the field with Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard, and Evan Engram. He's going to see some light defensive fronts in a high-scoring offense.Coming back to a team with Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, O.J. Howard, and Chris Godwin will be a welcoming sight for Martin, who only has three games left on his suspension. We've seen a hit-or-miss Martin over his career, but he has finished as a top-three running back twice. He could be a steal at this point.
