He's back and our Scout Fantasy founder and former #1 ranked player in the World, Ian Ritchie named him his comeback player of the year.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Martin should remain the lead back after his three-game suspension. He will likely concede touches to a few different backs, but I think he'll hold onto the lead role.Riddick should see more work in the red zone this season with Anquan Boldin gone, so grab Riddick for your PPR league, but he may have real value in standard too.
Staff Rankings
QB List
Martin is suspended the first three games after failing a PED test. Very inconsistent throughout his career, there is a real risk that he does not immediately return to a starters' role. With the departure of TD hog slot man Anquan Boldin, Riddick may pick up more red zone targets in this high powered passing offense. Still, his ceiling is pretty low.
Sablich Brothers
5th Down Fantasy
Facing three-game suspension; followed up stellar 2015 campaign with horrid injury-plagued 2016 and a 2.9 YPC; contract year could get him back on track, but far from certain; weak o-line a concern.Showed he couldn't handle major workload in 2016, but still elite receiving option; top 10 in targets and catches among backs; 80 catches in 2015.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Bucs GM Jason Licht said Sunday there are no assurances suspended RB Doug Martin will regain his starting job following his three-game ban.PPR stud, and if he's completely healthy I'll be moving him up in standard too.

Breaking Football
The Muscle Hamster could be a dud or he could be one of the biggest steals in the draft. I'm currently leaning on steal
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
The Muscle Hampster has been fully healthy just two seasons in his career. He was a top 12 fantasy player in both of those seasons. Granted, we know he is missing 3 games to start the year, but he apparently looks better than ever and has put the demons behind him. If we see the good version of Martin, he could end up a top 5 running back come playoff time. When Riddick was on the field, he saw plenty of touches, but that should slow down this year with Abdullah back healthy. Still, Riddick may be the best pass catching running back in football and fits into the Lions scheme perfectly so expect him to continue to be a flex worthy play for a handful of weeks this season.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Martin should remain the lead back after his three-game suspension. He will likely concede touches to a few different backs, but I think he'll hold onto the lead role.Riddick is strictly a PPR play. We can't really count on his touchdowns or total yardage, so we have to count solely on his receptions.
Corey Parson
RotoExperts
Martin will miss the first four games of the season due to suspension. When he returns, he will likely share time with Jacquizz Rodgers. Auction Value $4 Riddick is a dominant pass-catching back who can win you a PPR league. Riddick is coming off double wrist surgery. Auction Value $15
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Coming back to a team with Mike Evans, DeSean Jackson, O.J. Howard, and Chris Godwin will be a welcoming sight for Martin, who only has three games left on his suspension. We've seen a hit-or-miss Martin over his career, but he has finished as a top-three running back twice. He could be a steal at this point. With Ameer Abdullah coming back, look for Riddick to go back to his change-of-pace role that he had in 2015, where he totaled over 600 yards receiving, but failed to top seven carries in any game. He's essentially the Darren Sproles of the Lions offense, but younger.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Martin has looked very good in OTAs. He does have to serve a 3-game suspension, but it looks like he should retain the starting role when he returns and have a chance to be a low-end flex on an explosive offense that figures to use a RBBC.
