FantasyPros
Elliott led the NFL in rushing yards last year and he should be an elite fantasy running back again in 2019.Hopkins had 115 receptions for 1,572 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2018 and he should be among the most dangerous receivers in the NFL in 2019 with 3rd year QB Deshaun Watson throwing him the ball.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
The Cowboys caved and signed him before Week 1. Zeke is now my #2 overall player.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If you wanted to select Elliott at No. 1 overall, you shouldn't feel guilty or bad about it. In fact, he should probably be the favorite to finish as the top running back considering the lack of competence in the Giants offense. Elliott has played 40 regular season games in his career and delivered RB2 or better numbers in 92.5 percent of those games, which is actually better than Le'Veon Bell's 91.9 percent. Elliott is as safe as they come. The best hands in football, Hopkins continually makes highlight-worthy grabs on passes that 95 percent of the league couldn't make on their best day. He'll continually see the oppositions best cornerback, but having Will Fuller back will help draw double-coverage away from him. He's now finished as a top-six fantasy receiver in three of the last four seasons, including his first No. 1 finish in 2018
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
The latest report is that the Cowboys have offered Zeke a deal to become the second highest paid RB...right above Bell and below Gurley. However, Zeke wants to be the highest paid. He has absolutely no leverage, as the Cowboys could keep him under contract for the next two seasons, then even franchise him for a third. If he actually needs to be the highest paid, then there's a very real chance this lasts well into the season.I always try to target running backs in the first round of drafts, but Hopkins is one of the few wide receivers I will make an exception for. He's been over 1,200 yards in 4 of the past 5 seasons, and has AVERAGED 170 targets over the last 4. Since 2014 he's been the WR 14/4/29/1/2 in half PPR scoring. He's an absolute target monster, and I have no problem if you want to take him as the top WR off the board. His TD upside is also massive, as he lead all players with 15 targets inside the 10 yard line last season.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Zeke would be my #2 and an understandable #1 if he wasn't holding out all summer. At this point, you have to pick up Tony Pollard as an elite handcuff no matter what happens.Nuk is one of the most reliable receivers in fantasy football. His role doesn't change and the chemistry between him and Deshaun Watson is only getting better.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
All about if he returns in time for the regular season.Nuk is Nuk, WR1.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Elliott is obviously one of the most dynamic running backs in the league, and he took it to another level last year when he got much more involved in the passing game. Without any issues hanging over his head, he's certainly in the discussion for the top selection in any fantasy draft. But, as always, there are issues with Elliott, this time a contract dispute which has prevented him from attending camp. Despite some cap issues, this situation seems likely to be resolved, as Jerry Jones knows all too well from his days with Emmitt Smith the pain of an elite running back holding out. Until we get closer to the start of the season and there are real rumblings of a holdout, continue to keep Elliott near the top of your draft board. He'll likely come in with a new contract and another top-notch season. What can you say about DeAndre Hopkins at this point except please don't ever let Brock Osweiler be his quarterback. With an excellent quarterback in Deshaun Watson, an enormous target share, and outstanding route-running ability and hands, there are legitimately zero concerns with Hopkins. To the extent you are desperate to be cautious with your optimism, it is possible that with both Will Fuller and Keke Coutee on the field, Hopkins' targets could drop slightly. But even that minor concern isn't relevant at this point, with Coutee battling an ankle injury. He's the top receiver, and one of the top players, on the board.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Zeke is the biggest risk in the top four but if he plays, he is the best bet to finish #1. He is a durable workhorse behind one of the best offensive lines in football, plus we can expect mostly positive game scripts. Over his career, Zeke averages 2099 yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns per 16 games. As of now, Hopkins is the consensus #1 receiver off the board. You certainly can't argue with his talent nor his recent production but there is reason to be concerned about his shoulder, however, as he started the preseason the PUP. Perhaps more concerning is the fact that both Will Fuller and Keke Coutee will both be healthy so his league-high target share may take a hit. He is still elite, but shouldn't exactly be a slam dunk at pick 6.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
If/when he ends holdout, he's the safest justifiable top choice on the board - 12+ PPR FAN PTS in 37 of 40 career games - no non-QB in past 20 years has more in 1st 40 games of a careerHas back-to-back top 2 finishes in FAN PTS at WR - Has most receptions (528) by a player through the first six seasons in NFL - in layman's terms, he's an aerial acrobat with hands like an octopus
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
The Cowboys are making strides to make their offense more dynamic in 2019 by promoting Kellen Moore to OC. Zeke's the centerpiece of this Cowboys offense and he's always going to be in contention to push the 300 carry mark each season, but will the Cowboys' efforts mean even more scoring opportunities for Zeke in 2019? There's a world where we could look back at the end of the season and be talking about Elliot as the RB1 over Barkley.A pure target monster, Hopkins is one of the safest picks in fantasy football for 2019. If Hopkins and Deshaun Watson can both stay healthy for all 16 games, there's no reason to doubt Hopkins' ability to be a Top 5 WR when it's all said and done.
