Sleepers and Busts
The main concern with Kittle is Trey Lance. If he takes over QB you have to figure he'll struggle. He only has one year of experience playing college football at a Division 2 school. That said, Kittle is an elite player at a barren position.Another talented player in a bad situation. The Giants offensive line isn't very good. The book is still out on Daniel Jones. And some of the defensive lines they play in the NFC East keep me up at night, especially Washington's. I just can't see Golladay lighting it up when Chase Young is mauling Daniel Jones on every play. Get me some WRs on high scoring teams instead. Avoid
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Since Kittle came into the NFL, he's produced TE1-type numbers in 58.5 percent of his games, which ranks third among all tight ends since 2000, ahead of guys like Tony Gonzalez and Jimmy Graham. He's in the prime of his career and now gets an upgrade at quarterback? He hasn't scored many touchdowns (never more than five), which has kept him out of the Travis Kelce territory. If he gets a bump in touchdowns with Trey Lance, we could see a Kelce-like finish in 2021 for Kittle. Health has proven to be an obstacle, but you shouldn't bet against Kittle finishing as a top-two tight end.Going to a new team is never easy, especially for someone who's coming from a team that was lacking any depth of pass catchers. It was easy for him to get eight-plus targets per game, especially when Marvin Jones was hurt. Now going to the Giants, who have a bevy of options, including Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Darius Slayton, Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and Saquon Barkley. To be fair, you don't go out in free agency and sign someone like Golladay to give him five targets per game, but he's not going to get the consistent targets he got in Detroit, and the targets he does get aren't going to be as efficient.
Tim Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The only question about George Kittle is injuries. If he is healthy, he is elite. Even in an injury-hampered season that saw him play just 8 games, he averaged over 12 half-PPR PPG and 13.2 YPR, obviously elite numbers. If he can stay healthy, he will be elite.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
There's a lot of hype right now surrounding Kenny Golladay and it's easy to understand why that's the case. He's an incredibly talented receiver and he just signed a massive contract with the New York Giants in free agency. However, once you sit down and really assess the situation around him, it's difficult to get too excited. Golladay now joins an absolutely crowded offense with a lot of mouths to feed, which instantly puts a cap on his projected ceiling. With Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, Evan Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and Devontae Booker all in the mix for targets, Golladay is going to have to be ultra efficient with his opportunity to make an impact for fantasy football. In my opinion, Golladay is more of a low-end WR2 than anything else. You're buying into Daniel Jones taking a massive step forward if you trust Golladay as anything more than that. My Very Early Projection: 64-1087-7
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Kittle was limited to just 8 games last season due to injury, but he was, as usual, an absolute beast on the field. He led all tight ends in yards per route run at 2.84 and was among the leaders at the position in yards per reception at 6.2. Whether it's Jimmy Garoppolo or Trey Lance throwing him the ball, there's little doubt that Kittle is going to finish as one of the top fantasy tight ends so long as he's healthy, and he's likely the only one who can realistically knock Travis Kelce off the number one spot.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Kittle averaged 12.6 fantasy points per game, which was third most in the NFL. Unfortunately, he missed eight games with injuries. He should be back to being an elite fantasy tight end in 2021.Golladay had an injury plagued year and he now joins a Giants team that is trying to develop Daniel Jones. Golladay is a low-upside WR2 to high-end WR3 playing with an inconsistent quarterback.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Giants landing spot = mixed bag. Daniel Jones is a clear downgrade from Matt Stafford, but the path to Alpha WR1 volume is clear, especially in Jason Garrett's offense that has thrived with a monster X (Owens, Dez, Miles Austin)
