Pack to the Future
Of all the rookie WR's, Reagor is the one I think has the chance to make the biggest impact in year one. The Eagles have a deep WR room but it's filled with injury-prone veterans like Alshon Jeffrey and DeSean Jackson who are unlikely to make it through 16 games. I wouldn't reach for Reagor but I like him as a bench stash with high upside.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
With Alshon likely to miss at least the first 6 games of the season, Reagor should be thrust into a starting position right away. Up.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
During the scouting process, I felt like Vaughn was just a guy, not a difference maker. That's not to say he wouldn't be able to produce if given the opportunity, but I don't think opportunity will simply be given to him. Don't forget that David Johnson saw just 161 touches his rookie season under Bruce Arians, and that was while he was extremely efficient. Interestingly enough, he was also a third-round pick. This is a situation to monitor throughout the offseason. If everyone remains healthy in Philadelphia, it's going to be tough for Reagor to see more than 5-6 targets per game. That's the thing, though. The combination of Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson is not one we're expecting to be healthy all year, which provides Reagor with some upside that could be tapped into. He's an ideal bench stash that you can play when we know Jeffery will deal with a top-tier cornerback, or if/when one of them misses a game. He could be a fantasy superstar if he gets the targets.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Reagor averaged more than 15 yards per reception in college and has a ton of speed, so he obviously has the raw talent to succeed quickly in the NFL. Although the lack of preseason games should generally hurt rookie wide receivers, Alshon Jeffery will likely begin the year on the PUP list, which should open up an opportunity for Reagor to succeed right out of the gate. Word from the coaching staff is that they plan to involve him early so, unlike most rookie wide receivers, Reagor could be someone who produces right away. You obviously can't draft him as a starter but he's the ideal bench receiver with upside.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Ke'Shawn Vaughn is just a younger Peyton Barber (and at 23, not that much younger). There, I've said it, I just don't rate him. He's a poor pass protector, has average hands and doesn't do anything special with the ball. He'll get what's blocked for him and that's about it. I can see him joining RoJo, LeSean McCoy and Dare Ogunbowale in an ugly split and I imagine his production will struggle to even match Barber's RB40 finish last year. It's even possible he's hardly used at all. Don't buy into the hype, he's a strong pass for me.Jalen Reagor looks like he may be the Eagles slot receiver but I'm not entirely sure that's his strength. He's small, runs mediocre routes and profiles as more of a DJax-style deep threat. While that's fine in isolation, the Eagles already have two good outside receivers meaning Reagor may be forced into the slot. Alshon Jeffery starting on the PUP list will give Reagor a great opportunity to start off the season but Jeffery will still play in front of him when healthy. When you consider the Eagles gave their tight ends and running backs an astonishing 349 targets last season, it's hard to see space for Reagor behind big names like Ertz, Goedert and Sanders in the middle of the field. Reagor is a gamble that's starting to look more worthwhile but don't get caught up in the hype and reach for him as he's unlikely to be a league winner.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
There's a lot of hype around Vaughn (ADP: 75). Since 2000, only two 23-year-old rookie RBs, drafted in the 3rd round or later, have rushed for over 700 yards. @BraudeM
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Ke'Shawn Vaughn in Tampa Bay is a dream fit. He's a Bruce Arians RB through and through and he's going to see the field immediately. Ronald Jones will still see some work, but Vaughn excels in both pass protection and pass catching and could walk in and assume the David Johnson role in this offense. He might not be able to put up the production that DJ did, but he's going to be a fantasy football star right out of the gates. He's a home-run pick at the back end of your first round/early 2nd round.Jalen Reagor lands in a great spot here in Philadelphia with a top-tier QB in Carson Wentz. While Reagor may be relegated to schemed touches in year one, he'll most likely step into the DeSean Jackson role in 2021. You may have to wait a while for Reagor to truly hit, but he has the talent and draft capital to make an impact for fantasy football.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Let's take a moment to stat out the Eagles offense. The good news: They've never gone below 564 ATT with Pederson at the helm. The bad news: when you stat it out Ertz - 120 Goedert - 75, if you think 195 targets is too much for the position they had 222 last year and Goedert isn't going anywhere Alshon - 100. He paced for more last year but pretty easy to assume injury Sanders - 65. And that's a modest total. He had 63 last year DJax - 65. Could be modest as well but trying to make a point. That's 425 Targets, redistribute them how you want but I think the number for that group is fair. You've probably realized that still leaves AT LEAST 139 targets! I didn't bother statting out the smaller pieces but the RB as whole generally AVGs closer to 100 targets with Doug, Arcega-Whiteside lurks, another 75 potential targets disappearing. I have nothing against Reagor, but the idea that he's challenging for WR1 in dynasty and will some kind of steal in redraft feels questionable to me. 75 targets year 1 would be a win IMO, not a ton of fantasy relevance for that though. Crossroads Point: You just based your whole argument on numbers you made up, Seth
