FantasyPros
Matt Nagy plans to install a complex, aggressive offense that makes Trubisky a potential bargain if the offense ends up being a success. Winston missed three games last season but finished as the QB13 in fantasy points-per-game. Now, there's no guarantee he'll even get his starting gig back, making him a dicey proposition.
Rich Piazza
Fantasy Shed
The team will not commit to him as the "starter" when he comes back from his 3-game suspension. This is a bit of a concern, even though I don't see Ryan Fitzpatrick playing "lights out" during that time.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Identifying Trubisky as this year's Jared Goff feels as hackneyed as a broadcaster marveling over Ryan Fitzpatrick's Harvard education. Following a quiet rookie campaign stuck in John Fox's antiquated offense, the Chicago passer should air it out far more with former Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy calling the shots. The Bears also bolstered the receiving corps by adding Allen Robinson, Trey Burton, and Anthony Miller, so don't pay much attention to last year's 182.8 passing yards per game. The biggest hindrance for investors will be the ballooning hype offsetting any profit potential. Drafters have spent years reaching for Winston's upside, and he maintains a QB21 ADP despite opening 2018 with a three-game suspension. No thanks. He finished QB22 in 13 games last year and has yet to place inside the top 12, so there's little reason to stash an erratic, turnover-prone performer when Mitchell Trubisky is still on the board. In all honesty, I'd rather not have any shares of someone with his abhorrent off-field record anyway.

Win My Fantasy League
Upgraded receiving options should make him fantasy relevant as a QB2Three game suspension stymies value but should be a top-15 option weekly once he is back under center
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
The Bears are expected to let Trubisky loose this season with the additions of Matt Nagy, Allen Robinson and Trey Burton. He could be this year's Jared Goff, but that doesn't mean you should draft him with that expectation. There is plenty of risk as well and we are merely hoping he will perform like Case Keenum and Blake Bortles did last year.Winston is suspended for three weeks so he is undraftable outside of two-qb leagues. When he returns, however, we are looking at a top-10 quarterback. He was superb last season when healthy, passing for a 16-game rate of 4,900 passing yards so don't sleep on him.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
I want Trubisky higher than this, but we are in a bunched-up tier. I like his upside over some of the guys in front of him, yet I think I'll take a wait-and-see approach for now.Winston was the 14th-best fantasy quarterback on a per-game basis last season despite three games in which he finished under four fantasy points. We should see improvement with the offensive line and Chris Godwin taking over as a full-time starter at wide receiver, so another run toward being a top-10 quarterback should be in order. UPDATE: Winston has a pending three-game suspension, which will hurt his overall numbers, but it doesn't take him out of the fantasy equation.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If I'm being honest, I tempered expectations when doing Trubisky's projections, which made me think I'd be lower than the consensus. It's clear that not enough people have taken notice to the effect that a young offensive-minded head coach can do for a quarterback. Trubisky has been surrounded by a ton of weapons and has extremely underrated mobility, something that fantasy footballers should covet.Did you know that if you combined Winston's and Ryan Fitzpatrick's passing yardage last year, it would've led the NFL? Their combined 4,607 yards were more than Tom Brady's 4,577, though their touchdowns (26) were somewhat lacking. Touchdowns are the hardest thing to predict, but seeing Winston's yardage with the weapons around him, big things are going to happen for him. The three-game suspension that he received definitely threw some water on the fire, but you should be able to snag Winston with the final pick in your draft and you should have a top-12 quarterback on a points-per-game basis.

QB List
It's hard to tell how much of Trubisky's season last year was a result of his talent and how much was a result of a conservative Bears offense. As the season went on, the Bears' offense got a little less conservative and Trubisky was able to flash some of his talent, though he wasn't devoid of problems (most notably his awful Week 15 performance against the Detroit Lions), as he posted a -16.8% DVOA. Trubisky certainly had some accuracy issues, often throwing above receivers more than he should, and he struggled a fair bit under pressure, posting a 48.7 QB rating in those situations-but that's somewhat to be expected from a rookie. There are some reasons to be optimistic about Trubisky coming into this season-first off, the Bears have a new head coach in Matt Nagy who's spent his entire career working under Andy Reid, including as offensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs last year. He's also gained some talent in the offensive game, with the addition of Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel. Plus, he'll likely have a healthy offensive line that's actually fairly talented (especially if Cody Whitehair bounces back from his slump last year). Trubisky could definitely take a noticeable step forward this year, but it's hard to count on him too much. There's definitely upside here though.Famous Jameis had a rough season emphasized by injury and inconsistency. There were definitely good weeks, like his Week 15 performance, but then there were games like his Week 9 game. Still, Winston showed an adept ability at making big throws, especially on corner routes where he posted a 114.3 QB rating, and he did finish the year with a solid 14.3% DVOA. However he was a pretty volatile player, making some poor decisions on his throws, leading the league with eight fumbles, and struggling mightily with his accuracy, throwing the ball high far too often. He's a boom-or-bust type of player, and given he's suspended for the first three games of the year because he groped an Uber driver, it's hard to consider him a viable fantasy option this year.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
In the 11 games last season where Jameis Winston played 90%+ of the snaps, he averaged 307 yards, 1.7 touchdowns and 1.0 interception for a 18.9 fantasy point per game average. Had he played at that pace for a full 16-game season, he would have finished as the No. 2 quarterback. @4for4_John
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
I actually love Trubisky's upside with Nagy taking over the offense. Allen Robinson also gives him a legit threat. A big 2nd year leap could be on the horizon, but I won't be drafting himI believed in Winston last year and he failed me. I won't make that mistake in 2018 so he has to prove a lot but he could easily be a great sleeper
