Lineups
Utah's Zack Moss was one of my favorite running back prospects in this draft class and I love this landing spot for him. Devin Singletary is the presumed starter as of now, but I see Moss as the better player long-term. Frank Gore had 166 carries in this offense last year, most of which will go to Moss. Depending on how effective Singletary is early in the year, I can see him ceding more and more work to Moss as the season goes on.While I still expect Sony Michel to be the leader of the Patriots' running backs in touches by a significant margin, James White should be very involved as well. The Pats have an uninspiring pass-catching corps outside of White and Julian Edelman. However, quarterbacks who can scramble statistically throw to running backs less and Cam Newton fits the bill as he's not known for utilizing the position heavily. The Patriots will find ways to get White the ball, but in a lower-scoring attack, his upside isn't great.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
White carries a considerable amount of fantasy value in PPR leagues after averaging more than five receptions per game over the past two seasons. Expect him to remain productive in 2020 despite no longer catching passes from Tom Brady.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Will be interesting to see who's throwing him the ball in 2020 and if Sony/Harris can get involved in the passing game/on the field(cough, cough Harris) at all. Oh great, Cam. A impossible offense to predict which Bill probably loves. We'll just have to rely far too much on preseason because relying on what Bill normally does would be relying on him never doing what you think. White has never played a year without Brady and we'll now have to rely on Stidham for those targets. I wonder if TE gets more involved this year, with Ben Watson leading the TE group with 24 targets last year. Could potentially impact White, plus probably not being top 5 in pass ATT.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
I know Devin Singletary had 961 yards from scrimmage and 4 touchdowns as he emerged as the starter in the second half of last season. Singletary is going to have a role, but it has become clear to me in the preseason that Moss will lead the team in touches this year and he is the flex back to own in Buffalo.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Zack Moss takes over as the new Frank Gore in the Bills offense. That doesn't sound particularly exciting but that means 150-180 carries, a heap of goal line looks and a dozen bonus receptions. If Moss can show even middling efficiency, that's an RB3 finish. Moss has massive upside though. He has the talent to take over this backfield and become a workhorse plus Gore showed us what can happen if Singletary gets injured with 12 half-PPR PPG over that span. I love the Moss gamble compared to what else you're getting in the double digit rounds.James White had a disappointing drop in fantasy production but somehow managed to manage a RB2 finish in half-PPR on the back of 67 rushes, 72 receptions, 908 yards and 6 TDs. He'll remain a PPR staple but lacks the true upside he once had with Jarrett Stidham at the controls. While the Auburn alum never had great RB receiving options, he showed a total disinterest in using them and this will certainly affect the 28-year-old Pat. He remains a valid weekly option but I wouldn't actually draft him at his Top 30 projection. I'd look elsewhere and suggest trying to win your league rather than avoiding losing it.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
The Bills have already come forward and said that Moss will take over the role that Frank Gore played last year. Before injuries and age started to add up for Gore, he was getting a lot of work in the Bills offense. He averaged 12.5 carries per game through Week 12, which is a big enough role to be considered an RB4. Not just that, but Gore ranked 12th among running backs for carries inside the five-yard-line. Moss is going to crush Devin Singletary's upside, and if Singletary were to miss time, Moss would be a top-15 start every week.White has always been a value, especially in PPR formats, but with Tom Brady gone, this team is likely to throw a whole lot less, and White has never averaged more than 5.9 carries per game. He's not likely to live up to his usual RB3-type numbers. I wouldn't want to trust him every week.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Moss figures to be the new Frank Gore in this BIlls offense which is not a terrible spot to be in, especially for a rookie with a lot of talent. Through 12 weeks in 2019, Gore averaged nearly 13 carries per game. If Moss sees that workload he'd be worthy of a bench spot and is certainly worth handcuffing to Devin Singletary.Brady's departure will undoubtedly affect White's consistency but with Cam Newton as the presumed starter, White may be the best Patriot worth rostering this season. We've seen Christian McCaffrey have tremendous success with Newton as his QB and while I don't think White has near that upside, he is solid flex in option in PPR formats.
Dalton Kates
APEX Fantasy Leagues
Un-athletic producer in college who goes to a team where he will be in a committee. Offers standalone value as a potential goal line back who can get work in the receiving game.Pass-catching weapon in a RB room that is suddenly depleted. Lacking passing weapons will allow White to earn targets.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
White derives almost all of his value from his prowess as a receiver, as he's topped 67 carries just once in his career. While his work in the passing game (218 targets, 159 receptions over the past two years) has kept him as a solid, if perhaps inconsistent, fantasy option, it's unclear if that will continue this season. He will undoubtedly remain the Patriots' passing-down back, but it's unlikely that he'll see quite the same production with Cam Newton, even with how much work Christian McCaffrey saw in the receiving game. He'll remain an option in PPR leagues and perhaps in deeper half-PPR formats, but that's about all.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
We know Cam can carry a pass-catching RB, as we saw him do it with CMC. However, Cam's health is questionable, his arm is questionable, and we don't know what the offense will look like. He could end up as a PPR flex option, but I'll likely try my luck elsewhere.
Andrew Erickson
Pro Football Focus

Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Since the start of the 2017 season, only Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara have more RB targets than James White. Probably has quite a bit to do with Brady, but really so no reason why this won't continue with Cam or Stidham.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Zack Moss stays down towards the middle of my Big Board purely due to his injury concerns. However, if there was a place for him to land and maximize his fantasy value, it's Buffalo. He'll assume the Frank Gore role and push Devin Singletary back into a change-of-pace role. Moss could have TD upside due to his usage as a goal-line back, but the injury concerns are a real thing with him.Cam Newton's now at QB for the Patriots and he's shown a propensity for targeting pass-catching RBs. White's not going to suddenly turn into Christian McCaffrey, but he's a solid value right now in redraft ADP.
