Draft Engine
One of only 20 NFL players to surpass 120 targets in 2019, Crowder figures to be the top option in the Jets' passing game again in 2020. More of a fantasy option in PPR leagues than he is in leagues that utilize a standard scoring system, he hasn't reached 100 receiving yards in a game since November 2017, when he was catching passes from Kirk Cousins in Washington.Washington's '19 stats benefited from the usage that resulted from Juju Smith-Schuster missing four games with a knee injury.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Jamison Crowder is the number one receiver in the Jets offense and with Sam Darnold back, the O-line improving and better outside receivers to draw coverage, this is a great opportunity to have a breakout PPR season. His upside really hinges on how many receptions Le'Veon Bell and Chris Herndon steal around the middle of the field and that's why you shouldn't draft him too high, but he is a nice, safe late option.James Washington started to live up to his potential in his second season, finishing just outside the top 50 wide receivers. He would ordinarily have significant room for growth with the return of Big Ben in 2020, but the Steelers spending their first pick on a talented outside receiver is a very bad sign for Washington. He's now in a battle with the Notre Dame rookie for the WR3 spot and it seems more likely he'll end up as the deep threat and that's always got an implied ceiling in fantasy. He a dynasty hold but no worth drafting in most redraft leagues.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There were just 24 wide receivers who finished with 110-plus targets last year. Crowder was one of them. He was No. 16, actually. Did you know he's the only one who didn't finish as a top-26 wide receiver? His No. 31 finish was better than most would anticipate, though it was uglier than you'd like it to be. In fact, he produced WR3 or better numbers just 43.8 percent of the time, which ranked 42nd among wide receivers. He also scored fewer than 8.0 PPR points in 43.8 percent of his games. With that being said, he's the only receiver returning to the starting lineup for Sam Darnold. Both Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims are new faces who are going to require time to learn the new offense and develop chemistry with Darnold. Crowder's targets aren't likely to go anywhere. In fact, they might actually go up, which is kind of crazy. Crowder doesn't offer top-15 wide receiver upside, but he does present some stability as a mix-and-match WR3/4 type who presents a solid floor in a pinch. His current ADP of WR49 allows you to get him as your WR5 in some situations, which is fine if you need to add some balance to your high-upside team.We have the battle of second-round receivers here, as Washington is coming off his most productive season in 2019, though it's important to note that he and Mason Rudolph played in college together, so there was chemistry there. Still, it was impressive for him to post 735 yards and three touchdowns on just 80 targets considering who was throwing to him. If the Steelers hadn't drafted Claypool, Washington would have sleeper appeal. Heck, he still does, but Claypool clouds his path. It does help that rookie minicamps were canceled and that there is no preseason action, so it's likely we see Washington get the reps out of the gate, and Roethlisberger has always talked good about him. Snagging Washington with a late-round pick might make sense, as you'll find out your answer in Week 1 against the Giants. If he plays the starter role and has a few big plays, you'll see many run to snag him off the waiver wire. On top of that, if Smith-Schuster or Johnson were to miss any time, Washington would likely be staring at six-plus targets per game.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Crowder was the 31st-ranked wide receiver in half-PPR formats last year, yet is being drafted as a WR5 this year. And that's despite the fact that the Jets have two new receivers who won't be able to develop chemistry with Sam Darnold in any preseason games, with Denzel Mims suffering from a hamstring injury to boot. Crowder is never going to pop - his average depth of target is too low and he isn't a huge end zone threat. So yes, his ceiling will be limited. But his floor is extremely high, and he should greatly outperform his draft position.Throw out everything that happened for any Steelers receiver in 2019. The combination of Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges would (and did) sink any pass-catcher they came across. With Ben Roethlisberger back under center, there's some optimism as a vertical threat, but he's certainly been passed by Diontae Johnson in terms of "breakout Steelers receivers." With Chase Claypool also in tow, Washington's chances of fantasy relevancy seem dim, and he's more of a "handcuff" receiver to Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Every year it seems like Jamison Crowder is supposed to really break out but it just never happens. He has some solid games but he's extremely reliant on target share. With the Jets adding Breshad Perriman and rookie Denzel Mims this offseason, Crowder has more competition than ever. He's a solid bench WR in PPR and gets a major downgrade in standard leagues. It seems like every year we talk about James Washington as a breakout candidate and it never happens. Well, not anymore. Diontae Johnson is now looking like the Steelers future WR2 leaving Washington on the sidelines. He does not need to be drafted in redraft leagues.

Jamison Crowder is under drafted every season, and should be a solid WR3 again this season. He was 14th in target share in 2019 and that should not change much. Furthermore, Gase utilizes his slot receiver in the end zone more than any other position. Sign me up for Crowder.

Crowder's not exactly the most exciting pick, but he's proven that he can be extremely productive in this offense. This season, Crowder has Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims as competition for targets and neither of them are going to be extremely reliable right away. Sam Darnold trusts Crowder and we could see him return value yet again in 2020. It's not the most exciting pick, but it's a smart pick.Washington's had the opportunity the past couple of seasons, but he's now been replaced by Chase Claypool in this offense. The Steelers needed a big-bodied WR on the outside to allow Juju to move back into the slot, which relegates Washington to a backup role. Washington's nothing more than a hold on deep rosters.

His week 1 in 2019 summed up the type of production you can expect from guys like him perfectly. 17 targets, 14 receptions, for 99 yards. A solid 90th in YPC. His target competition will be greater than Demaryius Thomas being 4th on the team in targets this year. Mims, Perriman, and Herndon will all be bigger threats to Crowder than anything he had last year. Even if we think he still reaches 100 targets, it took 122 to barely be flex worthy in 2019. Lets look at some things he's bad at: 84th in YPR and Yards per Target, 50th in catch rate, 91st in AVG target distance, 72nd in target separation, 54th in drop rate, 70th in fantasy points per target.

Still drips in upside - flashed massive target hog upside and chemistry at times with Darnold, and Bell & Anderson c ould be gone
