FantasyPros
Goodwin is one of the tougher players to project this season, as the 49ers will be welcoming Pierre Garcon back to the lineup, they added Jerick McKinnon in free agency, and they traded up in the second-round to snag Dante Pettis. Still, Goodwin was the alpha-dog for Jimmy Garoppolo last year, totaling 51 targets, 34 receptions, 545 yards, and two touchdowns over the final seven games of the season. You have to wonder if that chemistry carries over into this season, or was it more of a "there's really no one else to throw to" scenario? There's risk with drafting him as a top-30 wide receiver, but if you get him around the WR35-40 range, you can afford to take that risk. He's looking like he is Jimmy Garoppolo's favorite target in training camp, with some suggesting WR1 potential. After Washington traded for Alex Smith, I knew I'd be high on Crowder. My interest only grew fonder when they brought in Paul Richardson, who should help stretch the field and open things underneath for Crowder. Smith doesn't like throwing into tight windows, as evidenced by NFL's NextGenStats that show a league-low 12 percent of his throws went to a wide receiver with one or less yard of separation. While Richardson and Josh Doctson were mediocre at separating, Crowder averaged 3.2 yards of separation, which ranked eight among wide receivers in 2017. Reports out of camp are that the Smith/Crowder connection has been apparent in the red zone.

QB List
Speaking of improved QB play, how about the jump from Beathard (who I think is a decent QB in his own right) to Jimmy G. Man, so much more handsomeness, er, I mean TD's. Yea, that's what I meant to say. Goodwin possesses game-breaking speed and solid hands in an offense ripe with upside as Jimmy G doesn't hesitate to chuck the rock wayyyy downfield. Expect last years numbers with considerable upside, even if Pierre Garcon and rookie Dante Pettis command a good chunk of team targets. The case for Crowder as a high upside play at #27 is an easy one: not only did the young receiver suffer from a slight case of stone hands last season, but he received his passes from a relatively inaccurate gunslinger in Kirk Cousins. Now nearly a year removed from the struggles of last season, Crowder enters 2018 as the primary slot receiver for a Redskins offense led now by conservative pitching machine Alex Smith. Aided by a jump in his QB's accuracy, an essential aspect of a successful slot game, and a defined role with the infusion of speedster Paul Richardson, Crowder looks poised to produce solid top 30 numbers over the course of a long season.

Goodwin won't be the de facto No. 1 receiver in San Francisco, but he proved to me that he has the ability and even with Pierre Garcon back, I expect Goodwin to remain the deep threat and be in the top two for targets.Crowder was hyped pretty well last season and then crashed and burned early on, but he did improve after the halfway point. I still like his ability and am not sold on Josh Doctson just yet, while Paul Richardson should deep routes and give Crowder short and mid-range targets. As long as Jordan Reed continues his inability to stay on the field, Crowder will have a shot at a bounce-back season.

Showed good chemistry with Jimmy G and should become a boom or bust weekly option as the 49ers third receiver and deep threatSmith looks to love him some Crowder
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
he WR10 after Jimmy Garoppolo took over San Francisco's QB gig, Goodwin caught 29 of 43 targets for 384 yards in those five fruitful games. Before prorating those stats over a salivating 16 games, remember that this sample also occurred without Pierre Garcon. Goodwin registered 349 yards in half a season with Garcon and 613 yards in the other half without him. The younger Goodwin is a far superior deep threat, but he must leverage that into more than two TDs to override the potential volume loss. One of 2017's trendiest picks, Crowder looked like a colossal bust with 149 receiving yards and four fumbles through his first six games. (Condolences to anyone who stuck by his side long enough to endure Week 4's -7 yards and fumble.) He then flipped a switch, totaling 640 yards and 74 targets in nine redemptive outings. Depending on which version drafters trust, he's either a steal or reach at his WR38 ADP. He created 3.2 yards of average separation, and opportunities should remain bountiful as Alex Smith's top targets, so lean toward the former.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Before Jimmy Garoppolo took over as starter, Marquise Goodwin saw a catchable ball on only 53% of targets (84th of 89 WR) and had a 17.2-yard aDOT (PPR WR45). With Garoppolo, Goodwin had a 14.3-yard aDOT, was PPR WR8, and his catchable target rate jumped to 76% (24th of 89 WR). @Pat_Thorman After coming into the season with lingering injuries, Jamison Crowder was PPR WR13 over weeks 10-17 last season. I expect Crowder and new QB Alex Smith will be working hard to form a solid connection during camp.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Goodwin was quite impressive to close the season with Jimmy G, but keep in mind that he did it all with Garcon out of the lineup and versus some of the worst secondaries in football. He still has value, of course, but not as a week to week starter.Crowder has continued to have doubters but keeps getting better each and every year. This season, he fits perfectly with his new quarterback, Alex Smith, who only throws to receivers when they have separation, which is Crowder's specialty. He could have a huge breakout campaign as a result.
