Pack to the Future
Every year it seems like Jamison Crowder is supposed to really break out but it just never happens. He has some solid games but he's extremely reliant on target share. With the Jets adding Breshad Perriman and rookie Denzel Mims this offseason, Crowder has more competition than ever. He's a solid bench WR in PPR and gets a major downgrade in standard leagues.Campbell's rookie season was cut short due to injury but now back at 100%, he's an interesting player to watch heading into 2020. He's got an upgrade at QB with Philip Rivers and should be second in line for targets. That being said, he hasn't shown enough yet to be worthy of a draft pick.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Jamison Crowder is under drafted every season, and should be a solid WR3 again this season. He was 14th in target share in 2019 and that should not change much. Furthermore, Gase utilizes his slot receiver in the end zone more than any other position. Sign me up for Crowder.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Did you know Crowder finished as the No. 31 wide receiver in half-PPR formats last year? The Jets moved on from Robby Anderson and brought in Breshad Perriman, who's now with his fourth team in as many years, and drafted rookie Denzel Mims in the second round. While you can assume those players walk in and see targets, it's Crowder who'll likely be Darnold's go-to guy. He may not be a sexy pick, but he'll get the job done for a cheap WR4.He didn't make a big impact during his rookie season, but now that Chester Rogers is gone, Campbell should have the starting slot role all to himself. Not only will he be a starter this year, but he'll also get a quarterback upgrade with Philip Rivers in town. Campbell has big-play upside, and at this cost, you only need a few of them.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Crowder was the 31st-ranked wide receiver in half-PPR formats last year, yet is being drafted as a WR5 this year. And that's despite the fact that the Jets have two new receivers who won't be able to develop chemistry with Sam Darnold in any preseason games. Crowder is never going to pop - his average depth of target is too low and he isn't a huge end zone threat. So yes, his ceiling will be limited. But his floor is extremely high, and he should greatly outperform his draft position.Campbell should be a prime sleeper this season, after missing all but seven games in his rookie season with injury. Philip Rivers likes to push the ball deep, and Campbell's elite speed should mesh with Rivers' skill set well. You can't rely on any Colts wide receiver outside of T.Y. Hilton as a fantasy starter, but Campbell has tons of upside and can play out of the slot, and should be drafted and stashed on fantasy benches everywhere.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Crowder's not exactly the most exciting pick, but he's proven that he can be extremely productive in this offense. This season, Crowder has Breshad Perriman and Denzel Mims as competition for targets and neither of them are going to be extremely reliable right away. Sam Darnold trusts Crowder and we could see him return value yet again in 2020. It's not the most exciting pick, but it's a smart pick.As of right now, Campbell and Hilton might cancel each other out from a fantasy football perspective. However, if Hilton misses time again this season, Campbell would immediately jump up into top-30 WR discussion.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Jamison Crowder is the number one receiver in the Jets offence and with Sam Darnold back, the O-line improving and better outside receivers to draw coverage, this is a great opportunity to have a breakout PPR season. His upside really hinges on how many receptions Le'Veon Bell and Chris Herndon steal around the middle of the field and that's why you shouldn't draft him too high, but he is a nice, safe late option. The Parris Campbell hype is growing but it's rather overblown. I understand the Rivers-slot connection and Parris does have talent, I just don't seem him as much more than a possible flex option in PPR if things go right. I'd rather shoot for a little more upside.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Campbell outproduced Terry McLaurin in college while being two years younger. He was also a higher draft selection. He's an interesting late round pick at WR.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
His week 1 in 2019 summed up the type of production you can expect from guys like him perfectly. 17 targets, 14 receptions, for 99 yards. A solid 90th in YPC. His target competition will be greater than Demaryius Thomas being 4th on the team in targets this year. Mims, Perriman, and Herndon will all be bigger threats to Crowder than anything he had last year. Even if we think he still reaches 100 targets, it took 122 to barely be flex worthy in 2019. Lets look at some things he's bad at: 84th in YPR and Yards per Target, 50th in catch rate, 91st in AVG target distance, 72nd in target separation, 54th in drop rate, 70th in fantasy points per target.Only had 3 games where he was on the field at least 49% of the time. Had 18 targets in those 3 games. Abdominal injury, Fractured Hand, Fractured Foot. Check, Check, Check. 97th+ percentile 40 yard dash, Speed, and Burst Score? Check, Check, Check. 6', 200lbs. 1000 yard season while sharing the field with Terry McLaurin at Ohio St. Now, his competition. Pittman hasn't been a pillar of health himself: broken collarbone (January 2016), hand surgery (January 2017), high left ankle sprain (August 2017), broken nose (August 2017) and shoulder surgery (January 2019), and he fills a completely different roll than Campbell. Pittman is not a YAC threat like Campbell. Hilton also hasn't played 16 games since 2017. Counting on a healthy season at 31 is just as risky as any of the IND options. I'm ready for a Chark like bounce back in year 2, after everyone has moved on to the next shiny toy in Indy, Pittman.
