Lineups
The Jaguars enjoyed a breakout performance from D.J. Chark last season as he finished as the WR16 in 1/2 PPR scoring. He finished with 73 catches for 1,008 yards and 8 touchdowns, but there's still room for improvement. The Jaguars should be among the most pass-heavy teams in the NFL this season as their defense is suffering at the moment. Gardner Minshew is entering his second season and should get more comfortable in a pro offense. Chark will benefit and produce another strong fantasy campaign.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Chark emerged as Jacksonville's top receiver in 2019, catching four passes for 146 yards and a touchdown in the season opener and then being targeted five or more times in all 14 of his other games. There is a bit of uncertainty about his 2020 role with offensive coordinator John DeFilippo having been replaced by Jay Gruden, whose offenses have tended to feature more quick passes.Although the acquisition of Odell Beckham resulted in fewer targets for Landry than he had in 2018, a case could be made that Beckham's presence helped create more openings for Landry over the middle of the field. After his yardage totals had decreased for three straight seasons, he tallied a career-high 1,174 receiving yards while topping 14 yards per catch for the first time in his career.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
D.J. Chark enjoyed an impressive sophomore breakout, despite being slowed by an ankle injury later in the season. There are many reasons for concern though, from the drafting of Laviska Shenault to the signing of Chris Thompson and the general terribleness of this team. The upside is that it appears they'll be chasing plenty of games and don't look inclined to go as run-heavy this year. If Chark can stay healthy and maintain his target share he's going to be big in fantasy, that's a huge 'if' though.Jarvis Landry had a remarkably effective 2019 given the mess that was the Browns offense. For so long a locked-in WR2, Landry comes with more risk this year with the implementation of the run-heavy Stefanski offence and his recovery from labrum surgery. Given the recovery timeline may extend into the season, it's reasonable to drop Landry a little down your rankings. Just remember that when fit, he's one of the safest receivers around.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
There were flashes of what could be an alpha wide receiver in Chark last year, but there were also times where he disappeared. For example, he had six games of 15-plus fantasy points, but he also had eight games with less than nine fantasy points. Is it reasonable for him to grow as a player? Yes. Is there now a bit more competition for targets on the roster? Yes. With the shortened offseason, it will be difficult to learn a new playbook, especially for rookies like second-round pick Laviska Shenault. Because of that, Gardner Minshew will likely be looking Chark's way a lot. With a schedule that starts with the Colts, Titans, Dolphins, Bengals, Texans, and Lions, Chark should have a monster first half of the fantasy season. There are much tougher matchups as the season goes on, however, but drafting Chark as a low-end WR2 with upside in the fifth round makes sense. But again, you may want to look at the possibility of trading him during his bye in Week 7.Did you know there have been just three wide receivers who've finished as a top-24 wide receiver in each of the last five years? Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Landry. The way he got there in 2019 wasn't ideal (posted WR2 or better numbers just 31.3 percent of the time), but it was a horrendous offense. The issue now is that he's coming off hip surgery this offseason. While it seems like his recovery has gone well, that could be something to hold him back from being as consistent as he's been the last few years in Cleveland. Another hurdle is the limited targets that may be available in Stefanski's offense. The Vikings receivers combined for just 201 targets last year, and it would appear the Browns are trying to recreate that offense with both Austin Hooper and David Njoku in 2TE sets, while using the run game heavily. There's been just two times in Landry's career where he's finished with more than 7.0 yards per target, and he's scored more than six touchdowns just once. If he's cut down anywhere close to the 100-110-target mark, which seems very likely, it's really going to hurt his fantasy impact. Because of that, he's a WR3, and one who might be a bit dicier than in past years.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Chark looks to take the third year leap, but his near 1 TD per game output will come back to earth. His fate is tied to Minshew's.Forgotten every year, and 2020 is no difference. Clean bill of health means another WR3 season is a lock.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
D.J. Chark was one of the biggest surprises of the 2019 season. He built a strong connection with Gardner Minshew and it showed on the field with Chark totaling 73 receptions, 1,008 yards, and eight TDs. Minshew's progression will be key for Chark making him a bit of a boom or bust type player.Landry surprised many in 2019 by outperforming his fellow Browns WR, Odell Beckham Jr. What was most impressive is the fact that even in a crowded offense, Landry put up a career-high 1,174 receiving yards. While I do expect OBJ to bounce-back, I still think there are enough targets to go around to make Landry a solid flex option in PPR formats.

After SPARQ monster's 2019 breakout, now owns the go-to role in the JAC passing game, which offers more promise under new OC Jay Gruden

FantasyPros
Chark's ability in the deep passing game allowed him to tally 1028 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns in 2019. He is a WR2 with some volatility playing on one of the worst rosters in the NFL.Landry was the better fantasy player over OBJ, finishing with 1,184 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. That is a big reason there was a coaching change in Cleveland and I would expect OBJ to be the more targeted player in 2020 with Landry being more of a WR3.

Chark and Gardner Minshew have shown that they have great chemistry together. Chark has a little bit more competition for targets this season than last year, but he's still going to be a productive fantasy football option. He's in the range of a WR2 this season for me with upside.Landry should assume the Stefon Diggs role in this Kevin Stefanski offense now in Cleveland. There's not going to be exorbitant amount of targets to go around, but OBJ and Landry will see plenty to be relevant for fantasy football. Every single year, Landry has outperformed his ADP and I expect him to do it yet again this season. He's a fine WR2 option for your roster every single week.

The Draft Zone
Weeks 1-14 last season, he was the WR8 overall. He suffered an ankle in Week 14, missed a game, and was hampered the rest of the season. He still finished as the WR17 for the season. @SWallace_FF

Had his most heavily targeted game with Foles, but Minshew was very capable of supporting him. A little under 7 targets a game with Minshew in year 1. That paces for 110 targets. TDs(8) are likely to regress if those targets remain. He remains the clear top target after FA and the draft. His drop grade per PFF is just below Michael Thomas, at number 7. He is what Will Fuller would be if Fuller could stay healthy and had hands, with all the target volume you could want.Just had his most efficient season. Career high in yards, and yards per reception. Hasn't been under 130 targets since his rookie season. King of the 1100 yard, 5 TD season. The coaching has changed but barring additional weapons I think he'll still be your trusty WR3(Hello Hooper). Wasn't effected by Hunt's presence. 8.875 targets with/8.3 without. Hooper could present a problem as the each gained most of their targets over the same area of the field last year.

Low volume pass-attack expected under Stefanski. Landry's efficiency should be solid, but the ceiling is definitely lower, despite his yearly consistency, just don't see any path to a big ceiling here.
