Although the acquisition of Odell Beckham resulted in fewer targets for Landry than he had in 2018, a case could be made that Beckham's presence helped create more openings for Landry over the middle of the field. After his yardage totals had decreased for three straight seasons, he tallied a career-high 1,174 receiving yards while topping 14 yards per catch for the first time in his career.Watkins missed six of K.C.'s final seven regular-season games in 2018 before returning to rack up 10 catches for 176 yards over a pair of playoff games. He began '19 with nine catches for 198 yards and three TDs in the season opener, then averaged fewer than 37 yards with no scores over his final 13 regular-season games before totaling 288 yards over three post-season wins.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Jarvis Landry had a remarkably effective 2019 given the mess that was the Browns offense. For so long a locked-in WR2, Landry comes with more risk this year with the implementation of the run-heavy Stefanski offence and his recovery from labrum surgery. Given the recovery timeline may extend into the season, it's reasonable to drop Landry a little down your rankings. Just remember that when fit, he's one of the safest receivers around. Here's some unexpected Sammy Watkins trivia: He received more targets than Tyreek Hill in 2019, he has the same cap hit as Hill and he's only one year older! I'm not saying Watkins and Hill are even in the same universe fantasy-wise but it is unreasonable to totally dismiss Watkins. We've seen how busy he can get when Hill (or potentially Kelce) is out and he's still had some big games with everybody fit. I want pieces of this Chiefs offense and Watkins is likely to get first crack at the WR2 role. That's worth drafting.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Did you know there have been just three wide receivers who've finished as a top-24 wide receiver in each of the last five years? Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Landry. The way he got there in 2019 wasn't ideal (posted WR2 or better numbers just 31.3 percent of the time), but it was a horrendous offense. The issue now is that he's coming off hip surgery this offseason. While it seems like his recovery has gone well, that could be something to hold him back from being as consistent as he's been the last few years in Cleveland. Another hurdle is the limited targets that may be available in Stefanski's offense. The Vikings receivers combined for just 201 targets last year, and it would appear the Browns are trying to recreate that offense with both Austin Hooper and David Njoku in 2TE sets, while using the run game heavily. There's been just two times in Landry's career where he's finished with more than 7.0 yards per target, and he's scored more than six touchdowns just once. If he's cut down anywhere close to the 100-110-target mark, which seems very likely, it's really going to hurt his fantasy impact. Because of that, he's a WR3, and one who might be a bit dicier than in past years.Does anyone else believe that Watkins may have played through injury in 2019? He hadn't tallied anything less than 8.3 yards per target over the previous four years, and that's despite some subpar quarterback talent in Buffalo and Los Angeles. Knowing that Watkins is the No. 2 option at wide receiver in a Patrick Mahomes-led offense and that he's going outside the top-50 wide receivers is bananas. Sure, he was bad in 2019, but he looked like the player we thought he'd be once they got to the playoffs, as he compiled 14 receptions for 288 yards and a touchdown on 18 targets in their three playoff games. The Chiefs also had an opportunity to move on from Watkins this offseason, but they decided to keep him on the roster. He may not be an every-week option from the get-go, but knowing you have a player tied to Patrick Mahomes who saw six-plus targets in 10-of-17 games last year should carry some weight. Snagging him as a WR4/5 with upside makes too much sense, as we can't let one inefficient year erase what he's been throughout his career. There's an avenue to him finishing as a WR3 without injury in front of him.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Forgotten every year, and 2020 is no difference. Clean bill of health means another WR3 season is a lock.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Landry surprised many in 2019 by outperforming his fellow Browns WR, Odell Beckham Jr. What was most impressive is the fact that even in a crowded offense, Landry put up a career-high 1,174 receiving yards. While I do expect OBJ to bounce-back, I still think there are enough targets to go around to make Landry a solid flex option in PPR formats.Only the real risk-takers go after a guy like Watkins. We all know the upside is there, especially in the Chiefs offense but whether it's due to injury or simply poor performance, he can never string together a strong season. He is a boom or bust flex play at best until he proves he can stay healthy and play at a high level consistently.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Landry should assume the Stefon Diggs role in this Kevin Stefanski offense now in Cleveland. There's not going to be exorbitant amount of targets to go around, but OBJ and Landry will see plenty to be relevant for fantasy football. Every single year, Landry has outperformed his ADP and I expect him to do it yet again this season. He's a fine WR2 option for your roster every single week.Watkins has the talent to be a top-24 WR for fantasy football and he's in the right offense for that to happen. For some reason though, Watkins just has not been able to be consistent and he's burned fantasy owners year after year. Watkins is nothing more than a WR4 this season at best.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Just had his most efficient season. Career high in yards, and yards per reception. Hasn't been under 130 targets since his rookie season. King of the 1100 yard, 5 TD season. The coaching has changed but barring additional weapons I think he'll still be your trusty WR3(Hello Hooper). Wasn't effected by Hunt's presence. 8.875 targets with/8.3 without. Hooper could present a problem as the each gained most of their targets over the same area of the field last year.Targets a game: 2019 - 7 2018 - 6.6 If we can stop trying to call him a bust based on his early career trajectory, and just accept him as a flex play in a dangerous offense we will live a much happier life. His health has been problematic, so I get that. He is not a WR1 or 2, so live with it, and don't draft him as anything more.

Low volume pass-attack expected under Stefanski. Landry's efficiency should be solid, but the ceiling is definitely lower, despite his yearly consistency, just don't see any path to a big ceiling here.

Landry was the better fantasy player over OBJ, finishing with 1,184 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. That is a big reason there was a coaching change in Cleveland and I would expect OBJ to be the more targeted player in 2020 with Landry being more of a WR3.
