Lineups
Tyler Lockett finished last season as the WR14 in 1/2 PPR leagues. He had the 2nd-best catch rate of any wide receiver at 74.5%. He's the top target for one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Russell Wilson. He's lethal in the red zone and has 18 touchdowns over the last two seasons. This isn't how you describe a
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Lockett became QB Russell Wilson's go-to guy in 2018, leading the Seahawks with career-high totals in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. He became an even bigger contributor to Seattle's passing game in '19 and was on pace to end the season with 99 catches, 1,269 yards and 10 scores before leaving Seattle's Week 10 game with a shin injury that required hospitalization.Although the acquisition of Odell Beckham resulted in fewer targets for Landry than he had in 2018, a case could be made that Beckham's presence helped create more openings for Landry over the middle of the field. After his yardage totals had decreased for three straight seasons, he tallied a career-high 1,174 receiving yards while topping 14 yards per catch for the first time in his career.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Tyler Lockett put together another impressive season, breaking 1000 yards for the first time on the back of five 100+ yard performances and 8 TDs. His many bust weeks are a concern but the worries don't end there. D.K. Metcalf is a possibility to really impact his target share, as are quality tight ends Greg Olsen and Jacob Hollister. It's also worth monitoring the Josh Gordon and Antonio Brown rumours which won't go away. Ultimately he's a boom/bust mid-round pick with strong upside who has major floor issues but excellent weekly upside. Don't get sucked in too early.Jarvis Landry had a remarkably effective 2019 given the mess that was the Browns offense. For so long a locked-in WR2, Landry comes with more risk this year with the implementation of the run-heavy Stefanski offence and his recovery from labrum surgery. Given the recovery timeline may extend into the season, it's reasonable to drop Landry a little down your rankings. Just remember that when fit, he's one of the safest receivers around.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It was a tale of two different seasons for Lockett, as he started out the year hot, but then had an injury derail his production. Clearly, he was affected by a serious shin contusion that had him in the hospital. I won't pretend that D.K. Metcalf started removing some of his elite target upside, but even Lockett's efficiency went down the tube. Combining Lockett's games under Brian Schottenheimer prior to the shin injury, he's totaled 116 receptions for 1,732 yards and 16 touchdowns over a span of 25 games. That's pretty dang good. Knowing that I'm projecting a rise in pass attempts for the Seahawks overall, Lockett should see 110-plus targets as long as he's healthy, a number that goes very far with Russell Wilson as his quarterback. Seriously, stop talking about regression when it comes to Wilson's receivers. First it was Doug Baldwin. Regression never really happened. Then there was Lockett. Next, it'll be Metcalf. Lockett is perfectly fine as your WR2. He's the safer of the Seahawks receivers because his role is locked in. If the Seahawks were to sign or bring in someone like Josh Gordon/Antonio Brown, that would affect Metcalf a lot more.Did you know there have been just three wide receivers who've finished as a top-24 wide receiver in each of the last five years? Julio Jones, Mike Evans, and Landry. The way he got there in 2019 wasn't ideal (posted WR2 or better numbers just 31.3 percent of the time), but it was a horrendous offense. The issue now is that he's coming off hip surgery this offseason. While it seems like his recovery has gone well, that could be something to hold him back from being as consistent as he's been the last few years in Cleveland. Another hurdle is the limited targets that may be available in Stefanski's offense. The Vikings receivers combined for just 201 targets last year, and it would appear the Browns are trying to recreate that offense with both Austin Hooper and David Njoku in 2TE sets, while using the run game heavily. There's been just two times in Landry's career where he's finished with more than 7.0 yards per target, and he's scored more than six touchdowns just once. If he's cut down anywhere close to the 100-110-target mark, which seems very likely, it's really going to hurt his fantasy impact. Because of that, he's a WR3, and one who might be a bit dicier than in past years.
Frank Bonincontri

Opposite D.K. Metcalf, I love the perimeter in Seattle. 8 touchdowns last season could certainly be 10 this season

A bounceback looks inevitable. Russell Wilson is elite, and Locket is his favorite target.Forgotten every year, and 2020 is no difference. Clean bill of health means another WR3 season is a lock.

Lockett continues to silence the doubters year after year in Seattle and I don't see that changing in 2020. His connection with Russell Wilson is otherworldly and that's a big advantage over a lot of guys who haven't been able to work with their QB's due to COVID. I like Lockett as a solid WR2 but unlikely to get the volume to propel him into WR1 status.Landry surprised many in 2019 by outperforming his fellow Browns WR, Odell Beckham Jr. What was most impressive is the fact that even in a crowded offense, Landry put up a career-high 1,174 receiving yards. While I do expect OBJ to bounce-back, I still think there are enough targets to go around to make Landry a solid flex option in PPR formats.

Weeks 1-9 last season, he was the WR3 overall. He suffered a scary leg injury in Week 10 and was never the same afterward. He still finished as the WR13 for the season. @SWallace_FF In 2019, Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett ranked: 4th in yards gained on slot routes (770), 1st in touchdowns on slot routes (6), 11th in yards gained on 20+ yards downfield targets (379), 9th in receiving TDs (8) @EvanSilva - Tyler Lockett does not get a lot of targets, but the ones he does get are high leverage for fantasy. @LordReebs

Lockett's most likely going to play second-fiddle to Metcalf this season, but there are still going to be plenty of targets to go his way. Lockett's going to hover around WR2 territory all season long, but has the talent and rapport with Russell Wilson to finish even higher than that.Landry should assume the Stefon Diggs role in this Kevin Stefanski offense now in Cleveland. There's not going to be exorbitant amount of targets to go around, but OBJ and Landry will see plenty to be relevant for fantasy football. Every single year, Landry has outperformed his ADP and I expect him to do it yet again this season. He's a fine WR2 option for your roster every single week.

18 TDs in the last 2 years on 180 targets(about a 19% target share). I'm not complaining about the TDs and he had a career high 110 targets in 2019 but TDs are not sticky and I think he might just play the highly efficient second fiddle to D.K.Just had his most efficient season. Career high in yards, and yards per reception. Hasn't been under 130 targets since his rookie season. King of the 1100 yard, 5 TD season. The coaching has changed but barring additional weapons I think he'll still be your trusty WR3(Hello Hooper). Wasn't effected by Hunt's presence. 8.875 targets with/8.3 without. Hooper could present a problem as the each gained most of their targets over the same area of the field last year.

Low volume pass-attack expected under Stefanski. Landry's efficiency should be solid, but the ceiling is definitely lower, despite his yearly consistency, just don't see any path to a big ceiling here.

Lockett did have a solid season with 1052 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns, but he seemed to take a backseat to Metcalf at times in the second half of the 2018 season. I think Lockett will be more of a WR3 than a WR2 in 2020 and he could likely be the second option in the passing game.Landry was the better fantasy player over OBJ, finishing with 1,184 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. That is a big reason there was a coaching change in Cleveland and I would expect OBJ to be the more targeted player in 2020 with Landry being more of a WR3.
