FantasyPros
Jacobs was in a RBBC at Alabama and he had only 120 caries last year, but he is a very talented back that should earn the lead role in Oakland. He is a high-end RB3 with upside if he can handle a starting running back role in the NFL.Edelman had 74 receptions for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns in 12 games last year. He sees a ton of short passes and he should maintain WR3 value this year.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Any time you have a running back drafted inside the first round of the NFL Draft, you'd better consider him in fantasy football. Why? Over the last six years, first-round running backs have averaged 283.4 touches in their rookie season. While the Raiders aren't likely to be a high-scoring offense, they should be improved significantly with the talent they've added on offense. Jacobs should be a low-end RB2, at worstThere are not nearly as many familiar faces for Tom Brady to look at nowadays, but Edelman remains his favorite target. With Rob Gronkowski ailing last year, Edelman stepped up and finished as a WR2 or better in 75 percent of his games, a new career-high. With Gronkowski and Chris Hogan gone, Edelman's role isn't going to shrink in 2019. He's a sturdy WR2 presence
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
The Raiders used a first-round pick on Jacobs, so he should see a prominent role in the offense, particularly with Isaiah Crowell suffering a torn Achilles. Jacobs never had a huge workload in college, so it's unclear whether the Raiders intend to use him as a bell-cow back, especially with the re-signing of Doug Martin. Regardless, Jon Gruden's system works well for running backs, and Jacobs' pass-catching ability should give him a high floor each week. He should make a solid RB2 in all formats.Edelman was outstanding last year after returning from suspension, playing as a strong WR1 in PPR formats. He's getting up there in age but with Rob Gronkowski gone and incredible chemistry with Tom Brady, there shouldn't be many concerns. Josh Gordon's return takes a minor bit of shine off Edelman, but in any format where you are awarded anything for receptions, he will likely put up WR1 numbers.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
There is a massive opportunity share awaiting Jacobs in this OAK offense, both on the ground and through the airIn Half-PPR formats, he delivered 12+ FAN PTS in 10 of 12 games - He was WR14 in FAN PPG, a level he should be able to sustain in a now Gronk-less offense

Breaking Football
If Jacobs is going to win the starting job, he's firmly on my radar as a high upside RB2
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Has been told that he will be the workhorse, which makes him an appealing pick, but the Raiders offense line looks to be in bad shape. Riskier than he may seem on the surface.Despite the age, Julian Edelman is lined up for what could be a career year. He was on pace to eclipse 150 targets last season if he were to play in all 16 games, and that was with Josh Gordon for some time and Gronk for some time. The Pats did not make any real splashes to boost their position players this offseason, so it is going to be all Julian Edelman again for the wideouts.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The upside - In a dreadful offense last season, Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, Jalen Richard, and Deandre Washington ran for 1473 yards and 8 TDs. The downside - Richard is still on the team and had 68 catches for 607 yards last season. The Antonio Brown saga is also one to monitor, as having Antonio Brown on the field will obviously benefit the young RB.
Sean Koerner
The Action Network
misses 3.2 games a season not including 2017 ACL year
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
With what seems to be no competition for the job, most anticipate Jacobs to have a huge workload. That may be the case, but we never saw him handle those type of touches or anything close in college, and Jalen Richard likely isn't going away in the passing game. While Jacobs is a safe bet for RB2 production, it might be wise to temper expectations in this offense. Those expecting Edelman to outperform his ADP might be in for a surprise as he has never finished higher than WR19 in fantasy. Part of this has to do with his inability to stay on the field and at 33 years old, reversing that tendency may prove a difficult task. He comes with reliability while healthy but perhaps with a price tag too steep.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
While underutilized at Alabama, Jacobs constantly displayed the talent that warranted his 1st round selection. He now enters an offense that is committed to running the ball and Jacobs is going to be the centerpiece. He's a well rounded running back and should be an immediate fantasy star right out of the gate.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Josh Jacobs is an extremely interesting pick this season. At his current ADP, he's a safe pick with a decent amount of upside. I'm cool drafting him in that mid third round range...but I'm afraid his ADP will climb a bit when hard knocks is released. At any rate, we know that he's going to be used as the featured back in this offense. Teams always use their RB's when they take them in the early to mid first round, and this is especially so seeing how Jacobs was drafted with the pick they received in the Mack trade. My current projection on him is around 1,200 total yards, and 6.8 total TD's. That comes out to the 21st highest ranking among RB's. I feel comfortable ranking him higher than the RB 21, though, because of the safety. We know that he's going to be used in all aspects of the game, and we know that this offense is going to improve on its number from last season.Since becoming a full-time starter in 2013, Edelman has averaged 2.5 more targets, 1.25 more receptions and 15 more yards per game without gronk in the lineup. His stats sans Gronk, regressed over a full season, comes out to 181 targets / 116.8 receptions / 1,289 yards / 4.8 TD's. That stat line would have finished 10th last season. Edelman has the 13th highest projection according to my model and his projection is extremely reasonable. The biggest risk with Edelman is with his health. He's really struggled to stay healthy over his career and he's got one of the highest projections for games missed due to injury this season. Fortunately, that's the only risk he carries. He's going to produce every game he plays, and he very rarely has down games. Since 2015 he has just three total games with less than 6 targets. In those games, his stat lines were, 4/84/1, 4/53/0, 4/120/1. Edelman is coming off the board as the WR 15 in the 4th round. The only way he doesn't finish as a value is if he gets hurt, and even then, he'll still get there on a per game level, So if he's hurt for 4 weeks, then just slide in one of the million under valued receivers going late in drafts. You won't be taking a 0 for the games he misses.
