FantasyPros
Jacobs was in a RBBC at Alabama and he had only 120 caries last year, but he is a very talented back that should earn the lead role in Oakland. He is a high-end RB3 with upside if he can handle a starting running back role in the NFL.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Any time you have a running back drafted inside the first round of the NFL Draft, you'd better consider him in fantasy football. Why? Over the last six years, first-round running backs have averaged 283.4 touches in their rookie season. While the Raiders aren't likely to be a high-scoring offense, they should be improved significantly with the talent they've added on offense. Jacobs should be a low-end RB2, at worstHe's the most talented running back on the Dolphins roster, though that didn't seem to mean all that much under Adam Gase. With Gase out of town, can Drake get the touches he deserves under new head coach Brian Flores? Most don't realize that despite not topping 17 touches in a game and only hitting more than 10 touches seven times in 2018 that Drake finished as the No. 17 running back. He doesn't offer top-five upside, but he might be a sturdy RB2 in 2019
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
If Jacobs is going to win the starting job, he's firmly on my radar as a high upside RB2The talent is off the charts. The problem is Drake isn't 100%, not always efficient and Kalen Ballage is also pretty good. He's a risky pick.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
The Raiders used a first-round pick on Jacobs, so he should see a prominent role in the offense, particularly with Isaiah Crowell suffering a torn Achilles. Jacobs never had a huge workload in college, so it's unclear whether the Raiders intend to use him as a bell-cow back, especially with the re-signing of Doug Martin. Regardless, Jon Gruden's system works well for running backs, and Jacobs' pass-catching ability should give him a high floor each week. He should make a solid RB2 in all formats. For reasons that no sane fantasy owner can understand, every Miami Dolphins coach seems to want to minimize Drake's role in the offense despite him constantly producing. Brian Flores talked openly about wanting to get Kalen Ballage a big piece of the running back pie, and those talks only increased when Drake showed up in a walking boot in mid-August. But Ballage has shown zero vision or elusiveness in the preseason, so assuming Drake recovers for Week 1, he should likely garner the lion's share of the touches. If he does manage to see close to 20 touches per game as he should, he has a chance to finish as a borderline RB1.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
There is a massive opportunity share awaiting Jacobs in this OAK offense, both on the ground and through the air

Drake is unlikely to play the rest of the preseason after suffering a foot injury during Tuesday's practice, and he should be considered questionable for the regular season opener. If Drake misses time, Ballage will be the starter with unproven talents behind him. If Drake is healthy, this will be some degree of a committee backfield. In the preseason opener (when both were healthy), Drake played on 9-of-13 first-team snaps while Ballage subbed in for four snaps. - Miami Herald
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Has been told that he will be the workhorse, which makes him an appealing pick, but the Raiders offense line looks to be in bad shape. Riskier than he may seem on the surface.Last season, Drake was 41st in carries with 120 and 14th in receptions for RBs with 53, he still turned that into an RB17 finish in half ppr. This guy is elusive and productive, but it somehow looks like he will be splitting work with Ballage. He does have a direct path to all the pass catching work though, which will keep him in the RB2 discussion every week.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The upside - In a dreadful offense last season, Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, Jalen Richard, and Deandre Washington ran for 1473 yards and 8 TDs. The downside - Richard is still on the team and had 68 catches for 607 yards last season. The Antonio Brown saga is also one to monitor, as having Antonio Brown on the field will obviously benefit the young RB.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Josh Jacobs is an extremely interesting pick this season. At his current ADP, he's a safe pick with a decent amount of upside. I'm cool drafting him in that mid third round range...but I'm afraid his ADP will climb a bit when hard knocks is released. At any rate, we know that he's going to be used as the featured back in this offense. Teams always use their RB's when they take them in the early to mid first round, and this is especially so seeing how Jacobs was drafted with the pick they received in the Mack trade. My current projection on him is around 1,200 total yards, and 6.8 total TD's. That comes out to the 21st highest ranking among RB's. I feel comfortable ranking him higher than the RB 21, though, because of the safety. We know that he's going to be used in all aspects of the game, and we know that this offense is going to improve on its number from last season. With Ballage getting first team reps, we need to stop taking Drake so early in drafts. Drake is the better RB, and is much better for fantasy, but if their coaching staff doesn't view him as the starter, then we can't be taking him in the middle rounds. Ballage was not good last season, forcing just three missed tackles on 45 touches. His YPC average is also inflated from one long run. So unless he took major steps forward in the offseason, it says a lot that they would view him as the starter. This is a bad offense, with the leagues worst offensive line. At this point, we need to just stay away.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
With what seems to be no competition for the job, most anticipate Jacobs to have a huge workload. That may be the case, but we never saw him handle those type of touches or anything close in college, and Jalen Richard likely isn't going away in the passing game. While Jacobs is a safe bet for RB2 production, it might be wise to temper expectations in this offense. With a new offense, it is anyone's guess how large of a workload Drake will be given. Frank Gore is out of the equation so perhaps Drake will take over as a true three-down back. That could be fire if Ryan Fitzpatrick wins the starting job, but if it is Rosen, there won't be much upside in the Miami running game. Just recently, it has been Kalen Ballage who is running with the first team so this is a situation to monitor.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
While underutilized at Alabama, Jacobs constantly displayed the talent that warranted his 1st round selection. He now enters an offense that is committed to running the ball and Jacobs is going to be the centerpiece. He's a well rounded running back and should be an immediate fantasy star right out of the gate.Forever locked in fantasy football hell with Adam Gase as the Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins, Drake has now been set free! Under the new coaching staff, Drake stands to see a boost in overall touches this season and he has the talent to elevate himself into the Top-15 RB conversation. My only concern is the overall team talent and how many times Drake will be in scoring opportunities in 2019.
