Jacob Wayne
Lineups
How many catches is Josh Jacobs going to get? That's been one of the toughest questions for me to answer this offseason. After drafting a handful of receivers and signing Devontae Booker, I'm not sure if Jacobs is set for the true three-down role we all hope he is. One thing is for sure, though - Jacobs would have top-5 running back upside given his talent if he plays more of a three-down role this season. The arrival of rookie running back J.K. Dobbins in Baltimore has fantasy players fading Mark Ingram, and I think he's a solid value at his current draft price. Dobbins is going to need a significant amount of time to get up to speed as the starter and with the way Ingram played last season, I don't see him losing his job outright. The Ravens had one of the best rushing offenses of all time last season and Ingram is going to continue to be a huge part of it.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Jacobs had an excellent rookie season, despite missing three games with injury. He flashed explosiveness and the ability to continue to gain yards after contact. To the extent there was a downside, it's that he barely factored in as a receiver (just 27 targets). Although he's expressed a desire to be far more involved in the passing game, the presence of pass-catching running backs, including Jalen Richard, makes that less likely, though the recent trade of Lynn Bowden Jr. helps Jacobs' cause in that regard. Regardless of any increased work in the passing game, Jacob should have a workhorse role and be drafted as a borderline RB1.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Jacobs seems to have the skills to be a three-down back in Vegas, but he was targeted only 27 times as a rookie. With the Raiders having re-signed Jalen Richard to a two-year deal in February, Jacobs' role in the passing game will likely be limited in 2020.Baltimore was the NFL's most run-heavy team in '19, and Ingram will again be the lead back of the team's committee. Only Carolina's Christian McCaffrey and Cincinnati's Joe Mixon had more carries inside the 5-yard line last season than the 15 Ingram logged.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
The Josh Jacobs hype is totally out of control. Currently the half-PPR RB7, he's going stupidly high in early 2020 drafts. We're talking about a guy who caught 20 balls in his rookie season in a team that just brought in two pass-catching RBs to join the locked-in Jalen Richard. Now the team has brought in two wide receivers and Jason Witten in a clear commitment to the passing game. That a bad sign for a guy who will need to add touches and maintain his high efficiency to even match his draft position. It's time to chill out and wait a little longer for Josh Jacobs.Mark Ingram was a shock fantasy stud in 2019, though he relied unsustainably on his 15 TDs. This included an incredible TD every five receptions. Now the supremely talented JK Dobbins joins the fun and it's scary for a guy that already had regression coming. That being said though, this offense had 596 rushes and Ingram had barely a third of them so there's plenty to go around. If the 41 RB receptions increase or the offense relies a little less on Lamar Jackson's designed runs, we may see an increase in Ingram's volume. While the offense's overall efficiency and Ingram's TD number will surely regress, there's still value here as a fourth round pick with RB1 upside.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
We've continually heard that Jacobs is going to be more heavily involved in the passing game, though that never materialized last year, seeing just 27 targets in 13 games played. Then we heard, "we're going to involve him more in 2020." They then re-signed Jalen Richard, added Henry Ruggs, and Lynn Bowden. It's not looking likely that Jacobs sees the 50-plus targets he deserves, which lowers him down the rankings. The overall offense should improve, giving him more scoring opportunities, but relying on touchdowns is a tricky thing. He's best-suited as a high-end RB2 who has RB1 upside if they follow through on the promise to use him more in the passing game. Not many expecting Ingram to finish as an RB1 with Lamar Jackson under center, thinking he'd lose some of the goal-line carries to the mobile quarteback. Despite the fact that Ingram had more than 15 carries just twice all season, he finished as the No. 8 running back. We aren't banking on that happening again, especially when the Ravens drafted JK Dobbins in the second round of the NFL Draft. Ingram is going to be 31 years old this year, while Dobbins and Justice Hill have young, fresh legs. We could see Ingram lose a few carries a game, but provided he's healthy, we should still expect him to lead this timeshare and be a borderline RB2.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Gruden has flirted with increasing his pass catching volume. Safe pick in the RB2 rangeIngram will lead a top three NFL rushing attack. Dobbins is a threat to his workload, but he should have no issue producing number that keep him in your lineup every week.
Frank Bonincontri

If only Gruden would commit to getting him passing targets and not just provide lip service about it...Why is Mark Ingram always found this far down the RB rankings? Absolute value here and in an offense that is designed around the run game, you would be a fool to pass him up when he falls to you here. I would pick up JK Dobbins as a handcuff too though...

Jacobs had a very good rookie season with 1,316 yards from scrimmage and 7 touchdowns. Jacobs should be a low-end RB1, especially if he sees a bigger role in the passing game.Ingram had a great first year in Baltimore with 1,265 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns. The addition of J.K. Dobbins has a chance to hurt his fantasy value this year, making Ingram more of a RB2.

Great rusher with limited receiving upside. Raiders used him in a two down role and offseason moves dictate he's not getting a massive increase in his passing role. Elite ceiling is limited due to that, but has a strong floor. Was crazy efficient last year finishing as the RB10 in only 14 games and scoring 15 TDs. With Dobbins being drafted there is downside that he just slowly takes the job as the season winds down.

No. 13 RB in FAN PPG as rookie despite playing half his games with a shoulder fracture - an elite talent that should see a sizable bump in the passing gameSeeing him go mid-20s at RB in many drafts, which is silly - BAL offense is a juggernaut and Ingram likely to see 220+ touches and lucrative goal line work yet again

Jacobs is coming off of a stellar rookies season and will now play in an offense that features some of the most explosive players in the league. The addition of Henry Ruggs should force defenses to play them deep giving Jacobs plenty of rushing lanes to run through.Once again, Mark Ingram finds himself in a crowded backfield in Baltimore after the addition of rookie JK Dobbins. That being said, with no preseason games to be played, I don't expect Dobbins to be a factor early in the season which should give Ingram an opportunity to take control fo the lead role in Baltimore. How long he holds onto it is the question.

Three of their first four games are against top-5 run defensesIngram has a 4 million dollar salary which is very reasonable and a 5.3 million dollar cap hit if cut. Hard to see them moving on from him.

Jacobs is a fantastic selection in Standard formats due to the fact that he's likely going to see 270 carries in 2020. Unfortunately, he does lose a little bit of value in PPR formats with the lack of targets going his direction, but he's still likely to finish in the top-12 due to the sheer volume of carries.Ingram is going to be splitting this backfield with JK Dobbins this season, but he should still be the lead back. There are plenty of fantasy points for the running backs to go around in this offense though and Ingram is a fantastic selection at his current ADP.

IF Coach Gruden gets Jacobs more involved in the pass game, Jacobs will be a threat for top 5. Ricard and Washington combined for 84 targets, while each playing less than 30% of the snaps. Ricard has been resigned. Washington and his 41 targets are an UFA.Back to back years as the number 1 rushing team. 15 TDs are unlikely to repeat but all the pieces are returning on offense. Should be able to retain RB2 value for 1 more year IF he can hold off Dobbins. There's a chance the timeshare becomes more lopsided by the end of the year.

Hit incredibly hard by their selection of JK Dobbins, who might just come in and unseat him right from the start. My guess is Ingram holds onto ~60% his 2019 role, and the GL hammer in the league's top-scoring + run-heaviest offense will always have value. But his snaps could take a decent hit. Also, Ingram (who's had injury concerns in his career) will be in his 30-31 age season. Greg Roman's return helps stabilize his value
