FantasyPros
Jacobs was in a RBBC at Alabama and he had only 120 caries last year, but he is a very talented back that should earn the lead role in Oakland. He is a high-end RB3 with upside if he can handle a starting running back role in the NFL.Ingram should be a nice addition to the Ravens running game and he will be the lead back in the committee. It will be a crowded backfield with both RB Gus Edwards and RB Justice Hill fighting for playing time.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Any time you have a running back drafted inside the first round of the NFL Draft, you'd better consider him in fantasy football. Why? Over the last six years, first-round running backs have averaged 283.4 touches in their rookie season. While the Raiders aren't likely to be a high-scoring offense, they should be improved significantly with the talent they've added on offense. Jacobs should be a low-end RB2, at worstLeaving the nest of the Saints' offense is something Ingram has never had to do, so life may seem a bit more difficult in Baltimore. It's a good thing that they'll be a run-first team with Lamar Jackson under center, but it's also a bad thing around the goal-line, as Jackson is more of a threat to score than Ingram. The Ravens drafted Justice Hill, and still have Kenneth Dixon and Gus Edwards on the roster, so it may be more of a timeshare than some believe, though Ingram should be the leader in the clubhouse. His lack of upside drops him below some of the other options in his range
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
If Jacobs is going to win the starting job, he's firmly on my radar as a high upside RB2Should we be worried about Justise Hill? Probs. But Ingram is a very solid back in a run-first offense. You won't be mad you drafted him.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
The Raiders used a first-round pick on Jacobs, so he should see a prominent role in the offense, particularly with Isaiah Crowell suffering a torn Achilles. Jacobs never had a huge workload in college, so it's unclear whether the Raiders intend to use him as a bell-cow back, especially with the re-signing of Doug Martin. Regardless, Jon Gruden's system works well for running backs, and Jacobs' pass-catching ability should give him a high floor each week. He should make a solid RB2 in all formats.Whether you want to believe in Ingram or you don't, you have plenty of ammunition. Those looking to buy can point to the fact that he averaged over 4.5 yards per carry over each of the last four seasons and will now play in a Greg Roman offense that will likely lead the league in rushing attempts. Those avoiding Ingram can point to his age (29), his PED suspension, and the fact that in each of the last three years, the lead running back for the Ravens at the start of the year as lost his job. Your best bet is to go somewhere in between - buy Ingram as a likely low-end RB2, but have depth at running back if you draft him.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Mark Ingram is one of my main targets this season in redraft. Justice Hill is mostly an analyst-fueled hype machine at this point and the coaches have shown little inclination to use him how most hoped. There's a good chance Ingram sees 18+ touches per game. @ConnorAllenNFL
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
There is a massive opportunity share awaiting Jacobs in this OAK offense, both on the ground and through the airHe's a proven, productive 3-down back that will take on a lead role for what should be one of the most run-heavy teams (again) - decent shot at 250+ touches

BRoto Fantasy
Has been told that he will be the workhorse, which makes him an appealing pick, but the Raiders offense line looks to be in bad shape. Riskier than he may seem on the surface.Ingram is up there in age and has never really had a backfield to himself, however there is a lot of potential in an offense that may break rush attempt records. He is in line to be the lead back and barring health, should see over 250 rush attempts.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The upside - In a dreadful offense last season, Marshawn Lynch, Doug Martin, Jalen Richard, and Deandre Washington ran for 1473 yards and 8 TDs. The downside - Richard is still on the team and had 68 catches for 607 yards last season. The Antonio Brown saga is also one to monitor, as having Antonio Brown on the field will obviously benefit the young RB.Lamar Jackson had around 14-20 rushes per game last season whereas whereas the Baltimore RBs COMBINED for around 20-28. That certainly leaves some room for production, but how many targets can we expect Ingram to see? With Hill, Gus the Bus, and even Dixon in the mix, Ingram will likely be more TD-dependent than expected.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
With what seems to be no competition for the job, most anticipate Jacobs to have a huge workload. That may be the case, but we never saw him handle those type of touches or anything close in college, and Jalen Richard likely isn't going away in the passing game. While Jacobs is a safe bet for RB2 production, it might be wise to temper expectations in this offense.Ingram has been great in the Saints offense over the last few seasons but that does not mean he will fit well in a different offense, especially as a 30-year-old. Sure, the Ravens brought in Ingram but let's not forget that Gus Edwards was terrific to close the season and the Ravens also drafted the electric Justice Hill. Ingram certainly has RB2 potential, but this is shaping up to be a three-headed monster splitting the workload.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Josh Jacobs is an extremely interesting pick this season. At his current ADP, he's a safe pick with a decent amount of upside. I'm cool drafting him in that mid third round range...but I'm afraid his ADP will climb a bit when hard knocks is released. At any rate, we know that he's going to be used as the featured back in this offense. Teams always use their RB's when they take them in the early to mid first round, and this is especially so seeing how Jacobs was drafted with the pick they received in the Mack trade. My current projection on him is around 1,200 total yards, and 6.8 total TD's. That comes out to the 21st highest ranking among RB's. I feel comfortable ranking him higher than the RB 21, though, because of the safety. We know that he's going to be used in all aspects of the game, and we know that this offense is going to improve on its number from last season. My projections absolutely hate Mark Ingram this season. He's going to see very little work in the passing game, and Justice Hill is going to take some of his early down work. This is a great rushing offense though...so he's going to be very efficient on the ground. I just can't justify his current ADP. He's going to get carries and TD's vultured by multiple players, and he won't be able to make up for it with his receiving stats. There are better RB's going in his range, so target them instead.
Kyle Yates
The Fantasy Footballers
While underutilized at Alabama, Jacobs constantly displayed the talent that warranted his 1st round selection. He now enters an offense that is committed to running the ball and Jacobs is going to be the centerpiece. He's a well rounded running back and should be an immediate fantasy star right out of the gate.Mark Ingram is a screaming value at his current ADP. The Ravens have reinforced their offensive philosophy to run the ball this offseason and Ingram is going to be at the center of it all. 220+ carries isn't out of the question for Ingram and there will be running lanes galore for him as defenses attempt to eliminate Lamar Jackson's running abilities. Ingram is the perfect RB to snag in the mid-rounds of your draft and roll out week after week.
