Should be in a huge target share, at least for the first four weeks of the season. Suspended for the first four weeks but Edelman is a target hog who has weekly WR1/2 value in PPR leagues.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
How does one becomes a highly desirable draft commodity without reaching 45 catches or 700 yards in each of his first six seasons? Starting for the NFL's top-rated offense with Tom Brady throwing you passes goes a long way. Hogan, who has averaged 15.5 yards per catch in two seasons with New England, has an opportunity to shine as the top wideout while Julian Edelman serves a four-game suspension to start 2018. Even when Edelman returns, the 29-year-old should net more opportunities with Brandin Cooks, Danny Amendola, and Dion Lewis leaving behind 40.2 % of last year's targets. Hogan was also already a major factor where it counts. Not including his three postseason TDs, Hogan received 12 red-zone targets in nine regular-season games. He's the trendy breakout pick everyone will want on draft day.If missing all of 2017 with a torn ACL wasn't enough to curtail his stock, Edelman's return must wait until he serves a four-game suspension for a PED violation. Extend 2016's 14.4 PPR PPG to a dozen bouts, and his 172.8 points would have made him last year's WR30. That matches his current ADP, so the price barely bakes in any risk of a 32-year-old possession receiver returning from a major knee injury.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Hogan is not the slot answer some will suggest, but he could be a great value pick on the outside with Edelman serving that early 4 game banThe suspension hurts, but he's going to play 13 games still and a healthy Edelman carries value - esp in PPR formats

Hogan rises with talk Decker may be cutShould remain rock solid PPR asset when back from PED suspension
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
You might have a hard time believing this, but Hogan has never finished above 55th at the wide receiver position, so he isn't exactly a safe bet. With that said, Cooks is gone, Edelman is suspended for four games and now Hogan may just be Brady's #1. The upside that comes from that is well worth the risk in the 6th round of drafts.Edelman is suspended for the first four games of the season, so his draft stock has fallen, but when he is on the field, he tends to give WR2 numbers. If you can afford to play without him for the first four weeks then you might want to make him a target around round 10.

He is jumping up my rankings, he is clearly Brady's WR1 going into the season. NE moved on from Welker at age 32. Edelman will be 32, off knee surgery/suspension. I like the odds JMatt takes the slot and doesn't give it back. @ClutchFantasy
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Despite playing in just nine games in 2017, Hogan managed to finish tied for 25th in red zone targets, and actually had the same amount that Brandin Cooks (12) did, despite Cooks playing all 16 games. It goes to show the confidence Tom Brady has developed with him, so by taking Hogan where he's currently going in drafts, you're getting WR1 upside at WR4 cost. Don't just automatically assume that just because Edelman is returning to the field, that he's going to be the same player. He's now 32 years old and coming off a torn ACL last preseason. It's not to say he can't return and produce, but he finished as the WR22 while playing all 16 games in his age-30 season. A lot of the targets have evaporated in the Patriots offense and you have to figure that Edelman will still get every opportunity to succeed, so you don't want to write him off completely. He's obviously someone who would benefit in a PPR format. He's now been suspended for the first four games, so it's going to be difficult to hang on to him because the first month is the most important time to acquire waiver wire players. He shouldn't be drafted as a top-50 wide receiver at this point.

QB List
Aaaaannd here's the first New England receiver on our wonderful list. Playing in an offense notorious for its inconsistent target distribution, Hogan served as the "field stretcher" throughout the regular season and playoffs for the Super Bowl LII losers (had to get that one in :)). In an injury-shortened season where he only started 7 of the 9 games he played, Hogan posted admirable numbers, including a whopping 5 TD's. With Brandin Cooks gone, Hogan stands as the lone game breaker on a team known for perennially putting up top-tier offensive numbers. Though the targets MAY not precipitate to allow Hogan to realize top 20 upside, he will surely provide enough value in games where he is showcased to give full value at WR #32.Consistently a security blanket for Brady and without a clear challenger for his role upon his return, Edelman could be the prime stash to win you your league this year if you have the luxury to do so. However, be warned: he is still coming off of an ACL injury and Belichick is known for being wildly inconsistent with his players' target share and time. All in all, just another lotto ticket for y'all.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Hogan might get the biggest boost in playing time and usage with Brandin Cooks moving on to L.A. Hogan and Edelman will likely look more like co-No. 1 receivers, with Hogan showing more touchdown upside.Edelman will miss the first four games, which is a big chunk of the fantasy season.
