FantasyPros
Williams had a nice close to the season and he should have a big role in their offense in 2019. Williams is a solid RB2, but he is in a crowded backfield with RB LeSean McCoy and RB Darwin Thompson competing for touches.Edelman had 74 receptions for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns in 12 games last year. He sees a ton of short passes and he should maintain WR3 value this year.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It's never a bad thing to have the running back attached to Andy Reid's offense, though Williams shouldn't go inside the top few rounds due to his question marks. He's still yet to have more than 13 carries in a regular season game, so what makes us believe he's going to stand up to a full workload? The Chiefs just snagged LeSean McCoy when he was released by the Bills, making the situation even more sticky. Not to mention the performance by Darwin Thompson in the preseason. It's possible that Andy Reid moves to somewhat of a timeshare, though Williams should be the starter out of the gate. There are not nearly as many familiar faces for Tom Brady to look at nowadays, but Edelman remains his favorite target. With Rob Gronkowski ailing last year, Edelman stepped up and finished as a WR2 or better in 75 percent of his games, a new career-high. With Gronkowski and Chris Hogan gone, Edelman's role isn't going to shrink in 2019. He's a sturdy WR2 presence
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
The committee talk has me scared of Damien, largely because his price is so steep. I still like him, but the price needs to be right. Also, get your Darwin Thompson shares no matter what you do with DW.

Fantasy Football Advice
Damien Williams has as much upside as any running back in fantasy. Remember what a Chiefs RB is capable of. Hunt finished as the RB 11 in half PPR scoring last season...in just 11 games! Hunt is a good RB, but Williams is essentially a bigger, faster, and more athletic version of Hunt. He also showed last season that he can produce in this offense. Williams had 5 starts last season after Hunt was released and Ware was injured. He averaged 114 yards and 2.2 TD's in those 5 starts. That stat line would have been the #1 fantasy RB over a full season. Now, obviously those TD numbers will come down...but he's still going to be elite. Andy Reid has produced a RB 1 for fantasy in 12 of his 20 seasons as head coach. So when you tell me I'm also getting a discount on an Andy Reid RB. Then I'm all in.Since becoming a full-time starter in 2013, Edelman has averaged 2.5 more targets, 1.25 more receptions and 15 more yards per game without gronk in the lineup. His stats sans Gronk, regressed over a full season, comes out to 181 targets / 116.8 receptions / 1,289 yards / 4.8 TD's. That stat line would have finished 10th last season. Edelman has the 13th highest projection according to my model and his projection is extremely reasonable. The biggest risk with Edelman is with his health. He's really struggled to stay healthy over his career and he's got one of the highest projections for games missed due to injury this season. Fortunately, that's the only risk he carries. He's going to produce every game he plays, and he very rarely has down games. Since 2015 he has just three total games with less than 6 targets. In those games, his stat lines were, 4/84/1, 4/53/0, 4/120/1. Edelman is coming off the board as the WR 15 in the 4th round. The only way he doesn't finish as a value is if he gets hurt, and even then, he'll still get there on a per game level, So if he's hurt for 4 weeks, then just slide in one of the million under valued receivers going late in drafts. You won't be taking a 0 for the games he misses.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Williams was borderline dominant once he took over the starting running back role for the Chiefs in December, and his pass-catching abilities gave him what appeared to be an enormously high floor heading into this season even with only a small sample on which to rely. But an early hamstring injury brought out rumblings of a committee approach with Carlos Hyde, Darrel Williams, and Darwin Thompson, and there are conflicting reports as to Williams' workload. Because of his upside, Williams still makes an RB2, and a strong one at that. But drafting him is not without risk, so fantasy owners should make sure they have depth at the running back position if they take Williams with an early pick.Edelman was outstanding last year after returning from suspension, playing as a strong WR1 in PPR formats. He's getting up there in age but with Rob Gronkowski gone and incredible chemistry with Tom Brady, there shouldn't be many concerns. Josh Gordon's return takes a minor bit of shine off Edelman, but in any format where you are awarded anything for receptions, he will likely put up WR1 numbers.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Williams entered 2018 with virtually no production to his name but exploded when given the opportunity in Andy Reid's offense. So long as he can get healthy and earn his spot as the starter, he will be a top 20 running back with room for much more. That upside will depend entirely on his large of a role he can handle, as the offense is certain to score plenty of points. There is reason, however, to be worried about Darwin Thompson. Those expecting Edelman to outperform his ADP might be in for a surprise as he has never finished higher than WR19 in fantasy. Part of this has to do with his inability to stay on the field and at 33 years old, reversing that tendency may prove a difficult task. He comes with reliability while healthy but perhaps with a price tag too steep.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Fit the bill nicely in KC backfield after K. Hunt suspension/release - No. 2 RB in half-PPR FAN PPG over final 3 weeks - HC Reid's comments of RB committee ring hollow given that has never been his styleIn Half-PPR formats, he delivered 12+ FAN PTS in 10 of 12 games - He was WR14 in FAN PPG, a level he should be able to sustain in a now Gronk-less offense
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
The #1 RB in an Andy Reid offense is a fantasy stud. It's science. So get the RB that is going to lead this backfield. Oh yeah, Reid also never employs an RBBC, so don't believe that either.Despite the age, Julian Edelman is lined up for what could be a career year. He was on pace to eclipse 150 targets last season if he were to play in all 16 games, and that was with Josh Gordon for some time and Gronk for some time. The Pats did not make any real splashes to boost their position players this offseason, so it is going to be all Julian Edelman again for the wideouts.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Damien Williams was a starter in 5 games last season. In those five games he saw at least 10 rushing attempts and at least 6 targets in every game but one. Furthermore, he scored a TD in every one of those games and actually scored 8 in total. Williams was extended by the Chiefs this offseason and only has Carlos Hyde (The worst receiving back in the NFL over the past few seasons - oh and his rushing numbers aren't very good either) and 5'8" 201lb 6th rounder Darwin Thompson. Damien Williams is not going to lose his job if healthy. Andy Reid also mentioned that he'd use an RBBC "like in Philly." If you look at Andy Reid's RBs over the last FIFTEEN seasons, he has used a RBBC one time. That was in 2009, when the Eagles were transitioning from Westbrook to McCoy. Other than that, Reid has sprinkled RBs like Ware and West in at times but that's about it. I expect this "RBBC" to be more of the same - a RBBC of sprinkles. Grab Williams at a value.

I'm assuming Williams isn't the starter over the entire season. Williams had a nice 4-game run to end the season, but was under 13 touches in two of them, he won't be the only fantasy producer in this backfield.
