FantasyPros
Jones is a 6'3" pass-catching cyborg who received 11 targets inside the 10. He scored three times. He has yet to compile a double-digit touchdown campaign since 2012, so drafters can't ignore the issue when choosing their team's cornerstones. They also can't ignore his four straight 1,400-yard seasons, which elevated him to finish no lower than WR8 in standard or PPR. Simply pairing that production with six or seven TDs will pay off his No. 13 overall ADP.The full season of Allen proved well worth the wait. After missing half of 2015 and all but one game in 2016, he caught 102 of 159 targets for 1,393 yards in his first-ever 16-game campaign. Four straight 100-yard games made him fantasy's premier WR from Week 10 onward, and no wideout received more targets inside the 20 (24) or 10 (15). Just think how seismic his season would look with more than six TDs, a strong possibility in 2018 with Hunter Henry out of the picture.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Don't buy into the narrative that Jones is either inconsistent or injury prone. He has been just a step behind Antonio Brown in both of those over the past several seasons and is a near-lock to return top-ten value at the position for the fifth consecutive season.Allen was sensational at the end of the season, as we have typically seen from him when he stays healthy. Granted, staying on the field has been a struggle in the past, but you can bet on positive touchdown regression with Hunter Henry injured and another huge year if Allen plays 15 or 16 games.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Red zone bad luck was ridiculous in '17 (1 TD on 11 targets inside 10-yard line) - NFL's perfect WR weapon should see a solid bounce-back in that category, to go along with his standard 90+ catches, 1,400+ rec. yardsAs we suspected, a full season of Allen can be a wonderful thing, and we finally saw it in '17 - only Hopkins and Brown were better fantasy WRs - is back-to-back injury-free seasons too much to ask?
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If you're fortunate to land Jones late in the first, consider yourself one lucky person. While some have said he's inconsistent, the numbers tell a different story. He's finished with WR1 numbers in 40.4 percent of his career games, which ranks second to only Odell Beckham Jr. since 2001. If you think he's too "boom or bust," the only players who have posted a higher WR3 percentage than his (73.4 percent) are Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, and Michael Thomas. He's a stud who is due for some positive touchdown regression. He might be the only one who can compete with Brown for the top wide receiver spot. While some will say Calvin Ridley could steal some targets, he will also put safeties away from Jones at times. After starting out the season extremely slow (595 yards, one touchdown through the first nine games), Allen exploded over the final seven games of the season, posting 798 yards and five touchdowns. His emergence came as the team started to move away from Antonio Gates, who is no longer with the team in 2018. The concern with him is that Mike Williams (who they drafted in the top-10 last year) will see much more playing time and is a real red zone threat, though the loss of Hunter Henry definitely clears up some targets. Allen has been a fantasy asset when he's on the field, so there's little reason to doubt him now. The lone problem is that Mike Williams is going to be "a thing" in the red zone, potentially limiting Allen's touchdown ceiling.
Staff Rankings
QB List
The perennial fantasy stud slots in at #5 this year for me for two reasons: years of dents and dings which have slowed him down in-season cannot be ignored, and of course the extremely talented offensive group he plays within. While Jones dominated his offense last year, his team will be returning a healthy Devontae Freeman to the backfield AND adding first-round rookie Calvin Ridley to the mix with a frankly underrated #2 in Mohamed Sanu. Jones is still elite in every way, just not with the same elevated floor we've seen previously.I'm sure some of you are shocked to see Keenan Allen above fantasy darlings Julio and Odell, but here's why: solidified high volume role within a primarily passing offense with an elite quarterback, elite athleticism, and BIG questions for the two former receivers. Neither Tyrell Williams nor Travis Benjamin nor Mike Williams even hope to diminish from his role, and last season went a long way to dispelling thoughts of Allen as a "glass bones" receiver. Draft Allen confidently in your top 5 receivers.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
What do you do with a talent like Jones, who can't seem to score touchdowns? You rank him high because he still put up great numbers without the touchdowns, plus he can sometimes, once in a blue moon, will get into the end zone. And, Jones' three touchdowns last season were an outlier even for him, so expect 6-8, which are around his average. If he would have gotten just six touchdowns this season, he would have finished as a top-four fantasy receiver.Allen had a great rookie season and then two seasons marred by injury. Last season, we finally got to see what Allen is capable of outside of that rookie year, and he was great. Even with just six touchdowns, Allen finished as the third-best fantasy wide receiver in PPR leagues. There's no reason to believe things will change in 2018.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
We should see a positive TD regression out of Jones, who struggled mightily in the red zone in the first season with Steve Sarkisian as the play caller. Wothy of No. 2 WR slotting, Jones is a nice value at the top of Round 2. Allen was second in the NFL in red zone looks last year and should remain busy in that area as the Chargers keep losing tight ends.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Julio had 1,400 yards and plenty of red zone opportunity. If he wasn't on the (historically) negative side of TD variance, people would've thought very differently about his 2017 season. @Michael_Dubner He'll be 30 during the season this year, but he's the leading WR in yards per game by a solid amount. He's lacked TD upside his whole career, but is bound to rebound after only catching 1 TD in 18 redzone targets last year. I'll wait for a couple of boom weeks and sell high or ride him out as he collects 150 targets for the next 3-4 years. The Athletic's Jeff Schultz reports the Falcons have informed Julio Jones he will not receive a new contract this year. Jones skipped OTAs and minicamp to show displeasure with his contract, which makes him the league's eighth-highest-paid receiver. theathletic.com Allen had been healthy for only nine games over the past two seasons. He came back from a torn ACL to play in all 16 games last year, catching 102 passes for 1,393 yards and six touchdowns. Allen had seven 100-yard games.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Contract woes are troubling but Jones should be a top 5 beast per usualHealth is always Allen's issue but he looked good last year and could be even better in 2018. Slight bump in PPR formats

Ryan will remain maddenning for going away for Julio for what seems like quarters at a time but he will have enough big games to make up for itAlways good for a WR1 season if he can play at least 14 games
Derek Lofland

Jones had only 3 touchdowns in 2017, but he did average 10.2 fantasy points per game. He is still a WR1, although I do not think he is worth a first round pick if he is not going to score double-digit touchdowns. Allen had a great year returning from injury, posting 102 receptions for 1,393 yards and 6 touchdowns. He should be an elite fantasy option again in 2018.
