Zachary Hanshew
FantasyPros
Perriman finished the 2019 season red hot, posting a 25/506/5 receiving line over the Bucs' final five games of the season. He parlayed that strong finish into a new deal with the Jets, where he'll slide into the deep-threat role vacated by Robby Anderson. On a team desperate for playmakers in the receiving game, Perriman could find success in his new home.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Signed as a deep threat to fill the void created by Robby Anderson's departure, Perriman tends to not show up until very late in the season: He has tallied 50 catches for 993 yards and eight TDs over 17 career games played after the month of November as compared to 45 catches for 568 yards and three TDs over 34 games played in September, October and November.Exhibiting skills that are similar to those of Rams receiver Robert Woods, Jefferson is a tough receiver and savvy route runner who played a big part in Joe Burrow's breakout year at LSU. More of a complementary player than a true No. 1, Jefferson will have a chance to contribute as a rookie opposite Adam Thielen with Stefon Diggs having been dealt by Minnesota in March.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
After a semi-breakout season last year in Tampa Bay, Perriman now finds himself in New York catching passes from Sam Darnold. Things could be worse but Perriman is known for his ability to beat a defense over the top and deep balls aren't exactly Darnold's strong-suit. He'll have some big games but won't be reliable enough to be a weekly starter.Jefferson steps directly into the WR2 role for the Vikings after the departure of Stefon Diggs this offseason. With no preseason it may take Jefferson a couple of weeks to get acclimated, but over 16 games, he should see the most targets of any rookie wideout. He's definitely someone worth targeting at the end of drafts.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Breshad Perriman has an intriguing opportunity to make an impact in a Jets offense that made Robby Anderson the WR39 in a similar role. While Denzel Mims is capable competition on the other side of the field, Sam Darnold staying healthy will certainly give Perriman the opportunity to finally break out for a whole season. He's a great late gamble and even better in Best Ball leagues.Justin Jefferson has regularly been under-estimated compared to the big three of Ruggs, Lamb and Jeudy and that's simply not an accurate representation of his ability. Now falling into a brilliant opportunity in the wide-open Minnesota back-field, Jefferson will get the perfect chance to prove himself and I believe he's the rookie you want in 2020. He's expected to play mostly out of the slot but showed in 2018 that he's very capable of bouncing outside so he should play on most downs. Adam Thielen's stats prove that the slot snaps are most valuable in Minnesota so Jefferson should be the hot ticket in town. Excitingly, he's available well into the double-digit rounds and is the perfect late-round dart throw, especially in PPR.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Perriman is now on his fourth team in as many years. It's tough to be a reliable fantasy option when that's the case. Not only that, but the Jets are still under Adam Gase, which means there won't be many plays per game (he's been under 59 plays per game in each of the last two seasons). The Jets have what I deemed the toughest schedule in the league for perimeter wide receivers, so even if we see Perriman get the targets, he's unlikely to be efficient with them. He closed the 2019 season with 25 receptions for 506 yards and five touchdowns over his last five games, which will have some intrigued, but my guess is that you'll drop Perriman for a hot waiver wire pickup, as Gase's offense isn't Bruce Arians' and Sam Darnold isn't Jameis Winston. There will be weeks where Perriman snags a deep ball and pays off, but those are the types of players you can find on the waiver wire all the time. I just don't see him getting more than 5-6 targets per game.In case you didn't know, Jefferson is coming off a ridiculous season with LSU where he tallied 111 receptions for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns over 15 games. He played the big-slot role for them, which is something the Vikings should take into consideration when figuring out how to best deploy him. Unfortunately, Jefferson wound up on the COVID list and is being forced to miss a lot of camp. Still, he's a route-running technician who's playing behind a 30-year-old receiver who's been dealing with back issues. There's an avenue where Jefferson is relied upon as a rookie more than most think, though it would likely require Thielen to be out of the lineup. Under Gary Kubiak/Kevin Stefanski last year, the wide receivers saw just 43.2 percent of the target share (4th-lowest mark in the NFL), making it very difficult for multiple options to be fantasy relevant on a week-to-week basis. Because of that, Jefferson is essentially just a wide receiver handcuff.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Perriman is a downfield threat who was thrusted into the league with Joe Flacco at QB. During Perriman's time with the Ravens, Flacco was close to last in the league in yards per attempt. The complete opposite of Perriman's game. In Cleveland, Perriman did not play much, but Baker had a solid 7.7 Y/A and Perriman averaged an elite 21.3 yards per reception. Then last season with Winston, a QB with Y/A over 8, Perriman broke out and played like the first round pick that he was. If Darnold throws downfield more this season, which is possible with the brand new and much better offensive line, Perriman will be one of the biggest draft day steals.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Perriman was fantastic in TB down the stretch last season, but he's now on his fourth NFL team in his short career. Perriman has always had the talent, but it's never clicked at the NFL level. Can he sustain that success he saw at the end of last season and be a viable option for fantasy football in 2020? He's got the opportunity, but he might not be in the right offense for it. Perriman's nothing more than a dart throw at the end of your drafts and he shouldn't be considered someone that you can rely on for production this season.Justin Jefferson landed in a beautiful spot for fantasy football, as he steps in alongside Adam Thielen and will assume the Stefon Diggs role. Thielen and Jefferson are the only true players there that should command targets and we know that Thielen has started to deal with some injuries the past couple of years. Jefferson should easily see over 100 targets in year one and may bring even more upside if something were to happen to Adam Thielen.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Perriman, averaged 2.46 yards per route ran over last four games of 2019 (419 yards and 5 TDs). -(@dwainmcfarland) He finished '18 on a positive note as well with Cleveland. He comes to the Jets as the Robby Anderson replacement, but we should expect him to start out slow as it can take time for a QB to gain trust in a new WR.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Like his volume upside with Jets, esp. w/ the team avoiding first-round WRs and beefing the line up instead.

2019 Slot % Diggs - 14.7 Thielen - 29.3 Bisi - 34 Beebe - 52.5 (barely played) Justin Jefferson is going to be a WR2 right out of the gate. His biggest obstacle? Not Adam Thielen, but passing volume. No one had over 100 targets and Cook was 2nd on the team with 63. Injuries played a part in this but the Vikings went from 606 ATT in 2018, fired Defilippo, 466 ATT in 2019. The slot roll was basically a committee in 2019, Jefferson should consolidate that in 2020
