FantasyPros
Allen had 97 receptions for 1,196 yards and 6 touchdowns last year. He is a solid WR2 on an offense that no longer relies on him as much as they did in years past in the passing game.Fournette was extremely frustrating, as he battled injuries, suspension, a bad attitude and inconsistent production. He's a low-end RB2 that must prove that he can be a bell cow back in Jacksonville.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
With Tyrell Williams taking off to the Raiders, will Allen play on the perimeter much more, or do those targets go to Travis Benjamin? My guess is that he stays in the same role, though he might have a few more targets come his way. Throughout his time in the league, Allen has been a bit more up-and-down than fantasy owners would like, but his potential increase in targets could even that out. He's a fine low-end WR1 if you go RB-heavy in the first two roundsEveryone remembers what they last saw, which is why Fournette is dropping down draft boards. The last time fantasy owners saw him play, he totaled just 126 rushing yards and one touchdown over his last three games. What they don't know is that the Jaguars offensive line was missing 4-of-5 starters at the end of the year. Fournette is locked into 20 touches per week, which is extremely odd to find at the start of the third-round, which is where you can get him 90 percent of the time
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Bucking the injury-prone label with back-to-back injury-free top 12 fantasy finishes at WRI'm lower than the industry on Fournette by a long shot - I just don't like the history of soft tissue injuries, the punishing rush style (he too has to absorb what he dishes out) and the suspect O-line in front of him
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Fournette's talent and role remain underrated. He needs to be more efficient, but perhaps a quarterback that isn't horrendous can help that.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Allen has been incredibly consistent over the last two seasons, with 102 catches in 2017 and 97 last year. He's got an excellent connection with Philip Rivers, and should once again be in line for a borderline WR1 season in all formats. The only remote reason for concern is the return of Hunter Henry and the evolution of Mike Williams, but Allen should get his. The ankle injury that should keep him out this preseason should not threaten his availability for the opener, so don't shy away from him on draft day.Between injuries and ineffectiveness, things were trending down as last season wore on. But all the signs are there for a bounceback. Fournette dropped significant weight this offseason, and the offense should be a bit more explosive with Blake Bortles out and Nick Foles in. Fournette has been more involved in the passing game this preseason, so fantasy owners could be looking at a huge bounceback effort. That's assuming Fournette avoids injury, which has been difficult for him to do throughout his young career.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
In 2018, Fournette ranked 12th in fantasy points per game (15.1) and seventh in touches per game (19.4). Leonard Fournette is going to get a lot of opportunity in DeFilippo's scheme. "I'll know a little bit more after this week in terms of how many plays he gets winded and all those things in a game-like atmosphere," DeFilippo said of the third-year running back. "But I know Leonard's goals. Leonard's goal is to be the best back in this league, and unique star players play a lot of football. So, to me, he needs to play and so that's where we're at with that." Jaguars.com
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Allen continues to produce big numbers every time he is on the field. This year may be a different story, though, as Mike Williams is expected to take a major step forward and Hunter Henry is returning. As long as Allen's preseason injury doesn't last into the season, he should still lead this team in receptions and yards but he isn't exactly a second-tier fantasy weapon anymore.Fournette was inefficient last year but we can chalk that up to awful quarterback play and all the injuries on the offensive line. What it truly comes down to here is whether or not he can stay on the field. If he can, Fournette should lead the league in touches and would have no trouble reaching double-digit TDs on his way to a top 8 fantasy RB finish.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Keenan Allen is only 27 years old. Keenan Allen has over 1000 yards in 3 of 4 seasons in which he was healthy. Keenan Allen was on pace to put 1450/8 the year he missed half the season. Keenan Allen is perpetually one of the most consistent fantasy players in the league and is averaging 100 catches per season over the last two seasons. This man is an absolute lock for 95/1100/5 and that would be disappointing. No more Tyrell Williams which may open more of a deeper route tree for KA, his Y/R dropped by a yard and a half from 17-18, Hunter Henry is back so defenses will have a legitimate threat in the middle of the field to help KA with more single coverage matchups and more space to operate. Everyone is on Mike Williams to explode, what about Keenan Allen just doing exactly what he's done for years, with a slight uptick. He can go 110/1400/8 if all goes well. Sign me up.All about health for Fournette. He was the #4 overall pick, so the Jaguars are really trying to justify that pick. He will be fed early and often and will be well worth his ADP if he stays healthy, but assuming his health is likely a fool's errand.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Allen played three games last season without Melvin Gordon and his numbers increased across the board: - Target share jumped from 28% to 34% - Receptions went from 6 to 8 per game - PPR PPG: 16 - 22 And the thing is, his numbers with MelGo are still very good. Allen is a player with a set role that is going to put up solid fantasy numbers. He's being undervalued in drafts.Fournette's backups - Alfred Blue, Thomas Rawls, and Benny Cunningham - aren't putting fear in anyone's heart. Health is the only concern here, as Fournette will see the volume necessary to make him a high-end RB2 when healthy. He's currently a nice value pick.
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
Over the past two seasons Allen has averaged 100 receptions for a little under 1,300 yards and 6 TD's. Once considered injury prone by the public, Allen has put together back to back healthy seasons, and has done so has a target hog in the offense. The return of Hunter Henry will impact his TD upside, but his targets should remain the same, since Tyrell left in FA. His early third round ADP is extremely fair, as my projections have him finishing the season as a low end WR 1. I don't see a path for him finishing in the top 3...but I also don't see a path to him busting aside from a freak injury. Allen is a guy I would draft, but not one I'd ever reach on.I've never been a fan of drafting Fournette. He's an extremely inefficient running back, and one day the Jaguars are going to realize that they're better without him. He's averaged 3.7 YPC over his career. Last season he generated a pathetic 0.99 yards created per carry, ranked 49th in breakaway percentage, 49th in elusiveness rating, 53rd in yards per carry after contact, and recorded just 9 carries of greater than 10 yards, and gained fewer than 3 yards on an incredible 51% of his carries. The Jaguars would win more games this season if they cut Leonard Fournette. The issue is that they won't. Then invested a high pick on him, so they're going to use him. And despite not being a good RB, he's going to produce for fantasy while he's on the field. Oh and that's another thing. He's missed 34% of his career games due to injuries and suspensions. He's suffered a knee bruise, multiple ankle strains, a quad bruise, and two pulled hamstrings. As you can probably tell, I don't like Fournette. So it pains me so much to say that you can actually draft him. There's absolutely no talent behind him, and the Jaguars organization has given me no reason to believe they will suddenly become competent. Fournette can be taken in the second round because of the volume he's set to receive, and the fact that no one will challenge him for touches
