Ian Rapoport reports Keke Coutee has been diagnosed with a "not major" ankle injury. Including the postseason, Keke Coutee saw at least 50% of the team's snaps in just five games. Across those games, he averaged 9.4 targets per game and 17.2 fantasy points per game. @ScottBarrettDFB
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Samuel is one of several electric athletes in this Carolina offense. He can take any play to the house but also comes with rough weeks every now and then were fantasy owners are given just 2 receptions for a handful of yards. If you are willing to look past those, he makes for a strong flex play.Coutee is a little banged up but shouldn't miss much time at all. The general public seems to be viewing Coutee as the distant number three weapon in this Texans' receiving corps, but with Will Fuller just 9 months removed from a torn ACL and DeAndre Hopkins on the PUP, Coutee may be in for a much larger target share than everyone realizes. Plus, Coutee actually had more targets than even Hopkins when the two shared the field together.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Coutee was used a lot when on the field last season. He had three games with 7 or more targets and had double digit fantasy points in all those games. He is now dealing with an injury though, and targets may be harder to come by with Duke Johnson jumping into the fold. He has fallen a bit from my initial rankings but should still be a decent flex play in ppr leagues.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Coutee was exciting in limited action last year, averaging roughly seven targets and nearly 50 yards per game, with a strong playoff performance thrown in. Deshaun Watson talked up Coutee this offseason, and he certainly looked like a breakout candidate. Unfortunately, Coutee's bugaboo has been injuries, like his chronic hamstring injury last year, and he sustained an ankle injury in the Texans' first preseason game and had to be carted off. The injury is reportedly not serious, though it seems like it could put his availability for the opener in doubt. Bump Coutee down your draft boards just a little, but don't go overboard just yet.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
His teammate D.J. Moore is the favorite among the fantasy community, but Samuel actually performed better than him last year. Despite playing in just 12 games, Samuel hit WR2-type numbers in four games, while Moore hit that mark just three times while playing all 16 games. He may not have the consistent floor that Moore does, but he can help fill a few bye weeks if neededWhen in the lineup, Coutee was a very big part of the Texans offense, seeing 41 targets in just six games. Some will wonder what that would look like with both Will Fuller and Deandre Hopkins on the field, but we did see a glimpse of that, as Hopkins was targeted 39 times, Coutee 30 times, and Fuller 19 times. While Fuller will offer bigger "booms" due to the nature of his game, it might be Coutee who's a bit more consistent while playing in the slot

per game monster, can he stay healthy?
Nick Zylak
Fantasy Football Advice
People are scared of Newton's shoulder, but there's absolutely no reason to be concerned. Players come back from these injuries all the time, and he's already back to throwing and he's going to be 100% for training camp. Samuel suffered a few injuries to end is rookie season, and to begin his sophomore season, but when he returned he looked amazing. He has an 88th percentile SPARQ-x score, a 62nd percentile breakout age, and a 100th percentile speed score. The former second round pick commanded 8 targets per game over the final 5 weeks, was 14th in fantasy points per route run, 16th in fantasy points per target and showed that he was able to run 10 different route combinations last season. This is a guy that had a very limited route tree in his first season, but stepped it up big time last year. He's one of the youngest possible third year WR's and the Panthers didn't add any legitimate WR threats in the draft or FA after losing Funchess.Keke averaged 13.7 half ppr points per game, and a 7.2/76/0.4 stat line in his healthy games last season. When you look the Texans roster, you have Hopkins as a target monster, but after him the RB's they have aren't going to demand many targets and they don't have a good TE. So you're really just left with Fuller coming off a torn ACL and Coutee. Even giving Hopkins a 26% target market share there are still plenty of targets remaining for Keke. He's not an incredible athlete, but he does have an above average SPARQ-x score, an above average agility score and an extremely high speed-score. He posted the second most target separation per route among all WR's last season and he had the 4th highest reception percentage from the slot. The hamstring injuries are concerning, so if he pulls his hamstring in camp then I'm going to move him down my rankings. As of right now though, he's being undervalued by the community. This team has a very concentrated target market share, so there's a lot of opportunity for him to succeed.
