Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
We all know Doug Pederson has loved his timeshares since coming to the Eagles, and after they moved on from Jordan Howard, many expected them to add a running back in the draft. Things can change, as there are a few free agent running backs out there, but for now, Sanders has the looks of a 15-plus touch running back. It's crazy to see Kenyan Drake not getting the respect he deserved when he performed the way he did under Kliff Kingsbury last year. Since coming over in Week 9, he was the No. 4 running back through the remainder of the fantasy season, and the Cardinals liked him enough to move on from David Johnson and not draft a running back until the seventh round.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Was Top 12 fantasy RB from Weeks 11-17 with workload volume (18.6 touches per) that should carry over as lead RB in 2020Enticing if he can finally put a full season of bell-cow work in the books as ARI RBs ranked 3rd in FAN PTS per Touch in 2019, with Drake contributing elite stretch-run numbers
Elliot Berkovits
Pack to the Future
Sanders is everybody's favorite breakout candidate in 2020 and I can understand the appeal but I still believe his current ADP is a little too high. He plays in an offense that is known for their usage of multiple backs and he's only started 11 career games, I need to see more out of Sanders before looking at him as an RB1.Whether it was David Johnson, Chase Edmonds, or Kenyan Drake, the Arizona backfield was highly productive during the 2019 season. With Johnson now in Houston, Drake will take full control and is in prime position to finally fulfill his potential we've talked about for years.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Sanders emerged as the lead back in Philly with 1,327 yards from scrimmage and 6 touchdowns. Philly usually uses a RBBC, which caps his RB1 upside. If they give him lead back duties and he sees 250-275 touches, he could emerge as a RB1 in 2020.Drake was a star for the Cardinals in 2019. In just 8 games, he had 814 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns. The Cardinals have signed him to a one-year deal and he should be the featured back with RB David Johnson gone. Drake is a RB1 with huge upside.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
The Miles Sanders hype is growing as he continues to slide up drafts, often going in the first round. This does remind me a lot of Dalvin Cook last year and that's not the worst comp. The key difference is that the Vikings are one-man show with Cook only limited by his fitness while the Eagles steadfastly refuse to go with a true workhorse. If that changes, Sanders could be a league winner, but it's also possible the Eagles return to their pass-first roots and Sanders becomes an RB2. I'm all for the risk, but not at a first round price. There's a heap of high-upside RBs in this area but Sanders is my favourite for a second round gamble. Pair him with a safe option like Henry, Mixon, Chubb or Jacobs and you're golden. The Cardinals offence is incredible for running backs, with David Johnson, Chase Edmonds and Kenyan Drake all having explosive moments in 2019. With DJ gone and Chase the clear backup, it's Drake's job in 2020 so that should mean a clear-cut RB1 right? Well, maybe. Drake played five games with the Cards. He was incredible against mediocre Browns and Seahawks defence he gifted him 6 TDs but struggled in the other games, maxing out at 15 touches in each. With DeAndre Hopkins now in town, this offence seems to be transitioning towards something more pass-heavy, which is normal for a second-year coach and a sophomore QB. I like Drake, but only enough to take him in the mid-late second rounds and maybe a touch earlier in PPR.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Eagles RBs, although consistently utilized as a RBBC group in the past, have put up the fourth most fantasy points for RBs over the past five seasons. There are fantasy points there for the taking in this offense and a RB who put up 1300 yards in his rookie season is poised to take control of that backfield. Boston Scott and Co.'s potential role in the offense is not even worth mentioning.Kenyan Drake finished as the #4 RB last season after being shipped over to Arizona. The only thing that has changed in that Arizona offense since then is that they added DEANDRE HOPKINS to clear out the box for Drake and the only RB addition was 7th round RB Eno Benjamin. Let's not forget that Drake is also playing on a prove-it deal for Arizona. All signs are pointing up.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
A risky first round pick, but a guy essentially in a contract year who could be a 3-down back in what I think will be one of the best offenses in the league this season.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Sanders seems locked in to be the "main guy" in this backfield at this point of the offseason. While I still believe these other RBs will take away some work, Sanders should see over 270 touches in 2020. He's a high-end RB2 with top-10 upside right now.Drake should put up insane numbers this season in this offense. There are a lot of great options in the top-10 RBs right now, but Drake truly has the potential to explode this season. A top-5 finish is not out of the question.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize
Sanders was the RB6 in ppr ppg weeks 9-16 (17.5)Kenyan Drake is 26 years old, but only 456 career carries with a 4.8 YPC average. He was the RB3 weeks 9-16 with 20.3 ppr ppg.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Being the clear receiving back provides a safe floor(63 targets in 2019). The lack of other pass catching options might've helped his target count but that's a problem for another day. He was able to prove he can be productive with his receptions. He played 52% of the snaps, and this was with Howard missing a bunch of time. Would like to see that playing time increase but on the plus side, was the largest share of playing time since LeSean McCoy in 2014. Would've like to see more decisive cuts behind PFFs best graded run blocking line. Not going to get better with Brooks gone.ARZ threw to the RB 103 times last year. Assuming Edmonds gets his 20 or so like 2019, That should provide a safe floor for Drake in 2020. ARZ Kenyan Drake was a different beast: ARZ: 18.9 touches per game, 15.9PPG, 8 TDs MIA: 11.5 touches per game, 7.6PPG, 0 TDs Normally, I might be concerned about the limited sample, but the only person he didn't come in and immediately replace last year was of course not on the roster last year, 7th round pick, Eno Benjamin. His contract is interesting after 2020, in that there isn't one, so enjoy the ride
