Fantasy Football Advice
I love Murray this season. Not only does he come with a decent floor being in the Saints offense, but he has just as much upside as a backup RB can have. They signed him to be the Ingram replacement, and that's a role he can excel at. Murray is going to see 9-11 carries per game, and about 2-3 targets per game. He's also going to be used from time to time in the red zone, and will be used more when they pull away from teams. That might not sound enticing, but in the Saints offense he can return low end RB 2 to high end RB 3 numbers with that sort of volume. The reason I want him is the upside if Kamara were to get hurt. Murray would instantly become a RB 1. So he's a solid FLEX option with massive upside. I'll take that upside for where he's going in drafts. There isn't a chance in the world I'd draft McCoy this season. He has just shy of 3,000 career touches, is on a terrible offense, and has 3 other RB's that will take away touches in the backfield. The only path to reliable fantasy production from McCoy is if there are multiple major injuries. Even then he'd likely go too early in drafts to be worth the pick. Just stay away

Hail to Fantasy Football
Mark Ingram was very productive in this offense with Kamara . Latavius should slide right into that role. Could also be a top-30 RB with top-5 upside if Kamara gets hurt. Up.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
If Murray lands in the old Mark Ingram role, everyone is too low on him, as he'll offer RB2 numbers more often than not. It's hard to imagine that someone just walks in and fills Ingram's shoes, but the Saints didn't waste any time locking Murray up in free agency, so they clearly viewed him as someone who could do it. You might want to expect a slight bump in touches for Alvin Kamara, while Murray gets slightly less than Ingram did. He's going to be a bit touchdown-dependent, but he's able to fill the RB3 slot on your fantasy team.As if 2018 wasn't disappointing enough for McCoy and his fantasy owners, but this offseason has clouded the one thing he always had going for him - volume. They signed veteran Frank Gore, former second-rounder T.J. Yeldon, and drafted Devin Singletary, suggesting it's possible McCoy doesn't make the roster. Even if he does, he'll be 31 years old and coming off a career-worst 3.2 yards per carry. Doug Martin scored more fantasy points than he did in 2018.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Remember in 2017 when Alvin Kamara finished #3 and Mark Ingram finished #6 among all half-PPR fantasy running backs? Well, Ingram's average draft position was 46th overall last year even despite a 4-game suspension. He and Kamara proceeded to score 33.0 fantasy points per game combined last year after 32.7 in 2017. The point in saying all this is that Murray is replacing Ingram in one of the most useful roles in fantasy football. He may be a better version, yet is being drafted 45 spots after Ingram was last year, even despite Ingram having a four-game suspension. That doesn't seem smart.
