Bell's contract will be a talking point until it isn't, but he will most likely be on the field for Week 1 as a Pittsburgh Steeler, and that's a good spot for him and his fantasy prospects, as his usage numbers are tremendous and his offensive line knows how to block for him.Freeman had a down year but also missed three games. In a full season, he would have likely finished as a top-10 running back. Hopefully, the Falcons will up their offensive numbers as a whole in 2018, as this will be their second year in a new offense.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
The sentiment for drafting Bell first overall is fair and understandable, but he is substantially more injury prone than Gurley and finished more than 60 points behind him last fantasy season too. With that said, the difference between Bell and the #3 fantasy player may be larger than the difference between #3 and #10.It was only two seasons ago that Freeman took the fantasy world by storm and finished as the top back in football. The NFL moves fast, however, and with Shanahan gone last year, Freeman was not nearly as efficient. There is still plenty of upside, but he has something to prove before Freeman can be considered an RB1 once again.

NFL Mock
400+ touches last year, regression in production is most likely scenario.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Despite having a less-successful year than his 2016 campaign, Bell still finished No. 2 among fantasy running backs. His contract dispute is not going away any time soon, which moves him down under Todd Gurley due to safety. We fully expect Bell to suit-up when the lights come on in Week 1, but there's always a chance he doesn't. Another added risk is that he'll have a new offensive coordinator in 2018, though Randy Fichtner doesn't appear to be shy running a fast-paced offense. Freeman has lost some of his luster with Tevin Coleman becoming more and more involved, but he's still a fantasy producer. The reason to be pessimistic about him, though, is that he received 12 or fewer carries in eight of his final 10 games in 2017. That's going to make it tough to produce as the top-10 running back that he is, though his work in the receiving game helps. He doesn't have top-three upside as long as Coleman is healthy, but he'll likely produce as an RB2 or better the majority of time.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Bell was given the franchise tag and he averaged 17.4 fantasy points per game last year playing under the tag. He is a duel-threat runner and receiver that can dominate fantasy games. Like most of the Falcons offense, Freeman's production dropped from 14.5 fantasy points per game down to 11.9 fantasy points per game. He is still in the bottom of the RB1 to the top of the RB2 discussion.
