FantasyPros
Like the rest of Atlanta's offense, Freeman's underwhelming fantasy results stemmed from fewer end-zone visits. He scored 8 TDs after finding pay dirt 27 times over the last two seasons, but that's no reason to shun him in 2018 drafts. He still averaged 84.4 total yards in 14 games--he left one early with a concussion--and was RB11 in terms of his 11.7 standard fantasy PPG. Freeman remained a focal part of Atlanta's red-zone attack with 19 carries inside the 10, so some modest TD improvement would propel him back into the RB1 tier. Concussion concerns are the only reason to let him fall deep into the second round, where he still represents a laudable investment.Don't forget about Ingram after the first few rounds. He stockpiled 190.5 fantasy points in 12 games after New Orleans dealt Adrian Peterson--a mark eclipsed during the whole season by just seven other rushers--so he should make plenty of noise upon returning from a four-game suspension. Two postseason duds and eight of his dozen scores occurring inside the five cast some doubt over a full-fledged repeat, but anyone comfortable in finding a September seat-holder can snag 12 games of a low-end RB1 at a low-end RB2 or flex price.

Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
It was only two seasons ago that Freeman took the fantasy world by storm and finished as the top back in football. The NFL moves fast, however, and with Shanahan gone last year, Freeman was not nearly as efficient. There is still plenty of upside, but he has something to prove before Freeman can be considered a clear-cut RB1 once again.Ingram is set to miss 4 games due to suspension, but he was rock solid last year and is expected to maintain the same role upon his re-entry. From the moment he comes back, you are getting an easy RB1, so if you believe you can muster a win or two without your fifth round pick over the first month then don't hesitate to get Ingram on your roster at that point.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
Even as his workload continued to fall (especially in the pass game) in '17, this mighty mouse was still a RB1 fantasy contributor on a per game basis - the clear backfield leader in an offense that is good at moving the ball into the red zone, the song remains the same for Freeman in '18 If he missed four games last season, he'd still have finished No. 13 at RB for the season, and in '15 he was No. 13 despite actually missing four games - even if you factor in some regression because the overall NO backfield production was insane, you can make a fair case for ranking him back-end top 20 at RB
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Freeman has lost some of his luster with Tevin Coleman becoming more and more involved, but he's still a fantasy producer. The reason to be pessimistic about him, though, is that he received 12 or fewer carries in eight of his final 10 games in 2017. That's going to make it tough to produce as the top-10 running back that he is, though his work in the receiving game helps. He doesn't have top-three upside as long as Coleman is healthy, but he'll likely produce as an RB2 or better the majority of time, something that's hard to find later in drafts. He's suspended for the first four games of the season, sure, but getting him for 12 games will be more valuable than someone like Derrick Henry, who will be touchdown-reliant in all 16 games. It's clear that the Saints don't want to shift more of the early-down work to Alvin Kamara, as Sean Payton said they don't want to change his workload much, even during the first four weeks while Ingram is out. Ingram is also due for some positive regression in the touchdown department, as he caught 58 passes last year without a single touchdown. The league average among running backs is one every 25.6 receptions. Even with his suspension, Ingram is worthy of a top-20 running back selection.
Staff Rankings
QB List
Slowly but surely, Tevin Coleman has been taking touches away from Freeman, which has limited his fantasy value some. Still, he's good when he's out there and he's in a solid offense with a great offensive line that finished top-10 in second-level yards and open field yards last year. With Andy Levitre fully healthy and the addition of Brandon Fusco, the line should be better than it was last year (or at least more consistent), which will be good news for Freeman. However, the presence of Coleman will limit Freeman to a borderline RB1.Even with the Saints using Alvin Kamara as much as they did last year, Ingram was still able to manage 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns, including seven top-10 finishes last year (one of them as number one). Unfortunately, he's got two things working against him this year-first, there's the likelihood that he's going to lose work to Kamara after his explosive season last year, and second, he's suspended for the first four games of the year. He should still have value once he returns from his suspension given the high-octane offense the Saints have and how good their offensive line is, but he's not the high-end RB2 he used to be.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Freeman had a down year but also missed three games. In a full season, he would have likely finished as a top-10 running back. Hopefully, the Falcons will up their offensive numbers as a whole in 2018, as this will be their second year in a new offense.Ingram will miss the first four games of the season. He should be able to return after that and put up similar numbers to last season, but if someone like Jonathan Williams comes in and plays well in his stead, it could hurt his touches afterward.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
Double-digit touchdowns are likely for Freeman in Year 2 under Steve Sarkisian. Ingram is a proven producer and a potential championship-winning addition if his owners can survive not having him for five out of the first six weeks of the season.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
Devonta Freeman has accumulated more fantasy points in PPR than any other RB over the past three years combined. 4 game suspension
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Freeman got paid a year ago so he's still the main man. ATL's offense should be better this year and he has the ability to be a monster.Ingram will miss a handful of games due to a suspension, so his season long value takes a big hit. He's still a solid pick and can return RB1 value in any given week.
Andrew Erickson
Gridiron Experts
Falcons offense is going to bounce back. 2017 was an outlier for all of their players. Freeman is the main red zone guy. 29 rushing TDs since 2015. Missed two games and still was RB13. Coleman obviosuly caps his upside, but Freeman still can catch passes and will get the goalline work on a top NFL offense.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Like most of the Falcons offense, Freeman's production dropped from 14.5 fantasy points per game down to 11.9 fantasy points per game. He is still in the bottom of the RB1 to the top of the RB2 discussion. Ingram averaged 14.1 fantasy points per game this year. I think Ingram will lose touches to Kamara next year and he is suspended for the first four games. He probably will have only flex value for the season and RB2 value once he starts playing in Week 5.
Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Will post RB1 numbers many weeks but will finish as an RB2 overallPED ban on top of contract year will result in a much larger reduction in role than originally anticipated
