RB LeSean McCoy will not be on the commissioner's exempt list, but the cloud of his legal situation hanging over his head and the fact the NFL could change their mind at any time makes him a very risky selection this year. Ingram averaged 14.1 fantasy points per game this year. I think Ingram will lose touches to Kamara next year and he is suspended for the first four games. He probably will have only flex value for the season and RB2 value once he starts playing in Week 5.
Andrew Gould
FantasyPros
Any discussions about McCoy's fantasy stock takes a back seat to the allegations of domestic, child, and pet abuse (and steroid use) levied against him in early July. The NFL is investigating the matter, but no punishment has been announced. Although he still registered 1,586 yards, he averaged a career-low 4.0 YPC with a 43-percent success rate. He turns 30 and plays in a barren Bills offense, so this looks like a case to leave a year early rather than staying one season too long.Don't forget about Ingram after the first few rounds. He stockpiled 190.5 fantasy points in 12 games after New Orleans dealt Adrian Peterson--a mark eclipsed during the whole season by just seven other rushers--so he should make plenty of noise upon returning from a four-game suspension. Two postseason duds and eight of his dozen scores occurring inside the five cast some doubt over a full-fledged repeat, but anyone comfortable in finding a September seat-holder can snag 12 games of a low-end RB1 at a low-end RB2 or flex price.

He is starting to look safer and safer, potentially a huge steal Ingram will miss a handful of games due to a suspension, so his season long value takes a big hit. He's still a solid pick and can return RB1 value in any given week.
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
It seems at this point that if McCoy was to face a suspension, it would be in the 2019 season. McCoy had some big games, and finished as a top 8 fantasy running back once again as a result, but he also finished outside the top 20 running backs 9 weeks last season. What's more, is that he has been trending down for years now and isn't exactly in the best offense. That combo of age and volatility is not one you should look for when trying to find an RB1.Ingram is set to miss 4 games due to suspension, but he was rock solid last year and is expected to maintain the same role upon his re-entry. From the moment he comes back, you are getting an easy RB1, so if you believe you can muster a win or two without your fifth round pick over the first month then don't hesitate to get Ingram on your roster at that point.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
This one is tricky, as we know the significant off-the-field baggage Shady carries with him into '18. Without that, he's a versatile, high-volume YFS machine. Obviously, you weigh the risk, and if you have the stomach to even own him. But my gut feeling is his off-field issues don't get meted out until after this upcoming campaignIf he missed four games last season, he'd still have finished No. 13 at RB for the season, and in '15 he was No. 13 despite actually missing four games - even if you factor in some regression because the overall NO backfield production was insane, you can make a fair case for ranking him back-end top 20 at RB
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I'm not completely sold on drafting McCoy as a top-12 running back, but it's hard to pass on the volume he'll receive this year. Playing on a team with what's likely to have a rookie under center, behind a now-poor offensive line (lost three starters this offseason), in what's almost guaranteed to be a low-scoring offense? Did I mention that he's going to be 30 years old when the season starts? You can't pass up this type of volume in the second-round, but I wouldn't blame you if you took a wide receiver over him where he's being drafted. As an update, you might be wise pushing McCoy out into the eighth-round, as there could be a looming suspension for some off-the-field acquisitions. You simply cannot risk taking him in the first few rounds with those question marks. He does, however, become a decent option in the third- or fourth-round. He's suspended for the first four games of the season, sure, but getting him for 12 games will be more valuable than someone like Derrick Henry, who will be touchdown-reliant in all 16 games. It's clear that the Saints don't want to shift more of the early-down work to Alvin Kamara, as Sean Payton said they don't want to change his workload much, even during the first four weeks while Ingram is out. Ingram is also due for some positive regression in the touchdown department, as he caught 58 passes last year without a single touchdown. The league average among running backs is one every 25.6 receptions. Even with his suspension, Ingram is worthy of a top-20 running back selection.
Kevin Wheeler
NFL Mock
With the news of allegations of abuse, McCoy's stock has dropped to a zone where I feel comfortable drafting him. I've now drafted him at 5.02 (12 team) and have seen him go in the mid-fifth twice. Delicia Cordon, the ex-girlfriend of LeSean McCoy, filed a personal injury lawsuit against McCoy and his friend, former Pitt football player Tamarcus Porter, in Fulton County, GA court on Friday. @mikerodak 4 game suspension
Staff Rankings
QB List
Yet again, LeSean McCoy finished the year as a top-10 running back thanks in part to just how much he was involved in the Bills' offense, averaging 21.5 touches per game. That being said, there are a number of reasons to be wary of McCoy heading into this season, and it's why I don't have him ranked as a top-10 running back. First, he finished the year with a pretty rough -10.8% DVOA and a 43% success rate, the latter good for 32nd in the league. On top of that, he's entering his age-30 season, will be running behind an awful Bills offensive line, and he's got a domestic violence allegation levied against him that, depending on what the league uncovers in an investigation, could lead to a suspension. As a result, McCoy is very risky, and unless we get some kind of final word on the domestic violence allegation before you draft him, he's someone who should not be drafted as a top-10 running back, despite the fact that, if everything stays as is, he has the ability to finish there, especially in PPR leagues.Even with the Saints using Alvin Kamara as much as they did last year, Ingram was still able to manage 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns, including seven top-10 finishes last year (one of them as number one). Unfortunately, he's got two things working against him this year-first, there's the likelihood that he's going to lose work to Kamara after his explosive season last year, and second, he's suspended for the first four games of the year. He should still have value once he returns from his suspension given the high-octane offense the Saints have and how good their offensive line is, but he's not the high-end RB2 he used to be.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
McCoy has the chance to move up 8-10 spots if we receive word that he won't face charges from an off-the-field incident. Until then, he's a risky proposition starting in Round 5. Ingram is a proven producer and a potential championship-winning addition if his owners can survive not having him for five out of the first six weeks of the season.
Rich Piazza
Fantasy Shed
Obviously the situation that arose in mid July, is something to monitor, and this could be something that lingers throughout the summer. The longer we go without any clarification on his situation, the more he will slide down the rankings and draft boards. Those drafting earlier on could be faced with the high-risk, high-reward situation.
Andrew Erickson
Gridiron Experts
A player that most people are projecting hits a wall this year, I am still a believer in LeSean McCoy because of volume. If Frank Gore can produce RB18 numbers at age 34, McCoy can produce Top 10 numbers at age 30. He is the best offensive player on the team and is going to continue to get volume because the Bills literally have no other choice. He is coming off his worst year since his rookie season in terms of yards per carry (4.0) but had the second most receptions (59) and receiving yards (448) in his career. He may possibly be losing a step on the ground but his involvement in the passing game and red zone work make him a Top 10 guy for me. Briam Daboll - Former OC at Alabama.

The Bills offense starts and stops with McCoyPED ban on top of contract year will result in a much larger reduction in role than originally anticipated
