Lineups
The arrival of rookie running back J.K. Dobbins in Baltimore has fantasy players fading Mark Ingram, and I think he's a solid value at his current draft price. Dobbins is going to need a significant amount of time to get up to speed as the starter and with the way Ingram played last season, I don't see him losing his job outright. The Ravens had one of the best rushing offenses of all time last season and Ingram is going to continue to be a huge part of it.Bruce Arians has just never fully bought in on Ronald Jones. As a holdover from the prior regime, Arians has kept Jones on a tight leash for the past two years. He was expected to become the starting running back for the Bucs' offense, but the team drafted Ke'Shawn Vaugh and signed LeSean McCoy and Leonard Fournette. I still believe in Jones's talent, but with all of the mouths to feed in the backfield, it will be difficult to take any Tampa running back before the double-digit rounds. Jones is still my favorite target of the bunch but it's a hazy situation.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Baltimore was the NFL's most run-heavy team in '19, and Ingram will again be the lead back of the team's committee. Only Carolina's Christian McCaffrey and Cincinnati's Joe Mixon had more carries inside the 5-yard line last season than the 15 Ingram logged.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
He was a target for me before the Fournette signing, and now he's nearly out of my top-40 RBs.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Ingram is going to be splitting this backfield with JK Dobbins this season, but he should still be the lead back. There are plenty of fantasy points for the running backs to go around in this offense though and Ingram is a fantastic selection at his current ADP.The Bucs have shown us all offseason that they're not fully confident that Jones can be THE guy. They're in win now mode with Tom Brady behind center, which means that they don't want any potential weak spots on their roster. They did the smart thing from a team building perspective and brought in Leonard Fournette just mere days away from the start of the 2020 NFL season. This effectively crushes Jones' upside this season and he is now moved down to RB4 territory. While I do think Jones will hold onto the job for the first few weeks of the season, due to Fournette not even knowing the scheme or what number he's wearing yet, he'll lose it eventually. He'll be part of a committee and he'll have some bench stash appeal in fantasy, but all of the hope for Jones breaking out this season is essentially gone now.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Mark Ingram was a shock fantasy stud in 2019, though he relied unsustainably on his 15 TDs. This included an incredible TD every five receptions. Now the supremely talented JK Dobbins joins the fun and it's scary for a guy that already had regression coming. That being said though, this offense had 596 rushes and Ingram had barely a third of them so there's plenty to go around. If the 41 RB receptions increase or the offense relies a little less on Lamar Jackson's designed runs, we may see an increase in Ingram's volume. While the offense's overall efficiency and Ingram's TD number will surely regress, there's still value here as a fourth round pick with RB1 upside.Ronald Jones had a disappointing sophomore season, splitting carries with reliable plodder Peyton Barber and struggling with pass-protection. Nevertheless, there were positive signs for the 22-year-old as he started to establish himself with a couple of 100+ yard performances to end the season. Sadly, the Buccs have muddied the waters by drafting Ke'Shawn Vaughn and bringing in LeSean McCoy and more recently, Leonard Fournette. That makes RoJo very hard to trust this season. This is a backfield worth avoiding until the very late rounds.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Jones' value was ascending right up until the Bucs signed Leonard Fournette, after which it dropped significantly. Fournette's contract suggests he's going to see (or at least he signed expecting to see) significant playing time, which likely moves him into a rough timeshare with Jones. Both Fournette and Jones can be drafted as Flexes, but Jones is more likely to contribute earlier in the season while Fournette gets comfortable with the offense. Draft Jones if you need someone immediately, but Fournette if you're taking a longer-term view.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Not many expecting Ingram to finish as an RB1 with Lamar Jackson under center, thinking he'd lose some of the goal-line carries to the mobile quarteback. Despite the fact that Ingram had more than 15 carries just twice all season, he finished as the No. 8 running back. We aren't banking on that happening again, especially when the Ravens drafted JK Dobbins in the second round of the NFL Draft. Ingram is going to be 31 years old this year, while Dobbins and Justice Hill have young, fresh legs. We could see Ingram lose a few carries a game, but provided he's healthy, we should still expect him to lead this timeshare and be a borderline RB2.We heard the Bucs say all offseason that Jones was their guy. We didn't even hear about them meeting with any of the free agent running backs. Then we heard the name Keshawn Vaughn in the third round, creating a problem for Jones. When teams select a running back on Day 2, it's typically to play them right out of the gate, even if it's not a clear-cut loss of the job for Jones. No matter which way you slice it, he has some new and improved competition. Another update: The Bucs signed Leonard Fournette after he was cut by the Jaguars, adding uncertainty to Jones' draft stock. He may get the first snap, but this reeks of a timeshare, similar to the one that Jones and Peyton Barber had last year.
Rob Wilson
The Fantasy Footballers
Ingram will lead a top three NFL rushing attack. Dobbins is a threat to his workload, but he should have no issue producing number that keep him in your lineup every week. He's the starter, whether you agree with it or not. Low ceiling RB3 selection
Frank Bonincontri
Fantasy Wire HQ
Why is Mark Ingram always found this far down the RB rankings? Absolute value here and in an offense that is designed around the run game, you would be a fool to pass him up when he falls to you here. I would pick up JK Dobbins as a handcuff too though...

Was crazy efficient last year finishing as the RB10 in only 14 games and scoring 15 TDs. With Dobbins being drafted there is downside that he just slowly takes the job as the season winds down.Jones was a great RB prospect coming out. Was efficient last year and was very good as a receiver. 6/7 other RBs to have over 7.5 YPT on 35 targets at either 21or 22 went on to have a top 5 RB finish at some point in their career. Lots of upside here.

Once again, Mark Ingram finds himself in a crowded backfield in Baltimore after the addition of rookie JK Dobbins. That being said, with no preseason games to be played, I don't expect Dobbins to be a factor early in the season which should give Ingram an opportunity to take control fo the lead role in Baltimore. How long he holds onto it is the question.Jones began to show flashes of potential as the season progress last year and now in a revamped Bucs offense, he has legitimate upside. While there is upside, there are also plenty of risks involved in this pick. The Bucs just spent a 3rd-round pick on Ke'Shawn Vaughn as well as signing veteran LeSean McCoy. I think it's going to come down to Jones versus Vaughn and whoever wins should have legitimate fantasy value.

Seeing him go mid-20s at RB in many drafts, which is silly - BAL offense is a juggernaut and Ingram likely to see 220+ touches and lucrative goal line work yet again

Ingram had a great first year in Baltimore with 1,265 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns. The addition of J.K. Dobbins has a chance to hurt his fantasy value this year, making Ingram more of a RB2.

Ingram has a 4 million dollar salary which is very reasonable and a 5.3 million dollar cap hit if cut. Hard to see them moving on from him.Jones tallied a strong 10.0 yards per catch on his 31 receptions. Pro Football Focus graded him just 73rd among all RBs in receiving. He fared better by Football Outsiders metrics, though, ranking 17th in DVOA and 20th in DYAR among 50 qualifying backs. PFF liked his rushing better, grading Jones 43rd at the position. FO had him 24th among 45 qualifiers in rushing DVOA, though at a rate below average-level performance. Fantasy wise, Jones ranked 35th in PPR points per game. @SchaufDS

Back to back years as the number 1 rushing team. 15 TDs are unlikely to repeat but all the pieces are returning on offense. Should be able to retain RB2 value for 1 more year IF he can hold off Dobbins. There's a chance the timeshare becomes more lopsided by the end of the year.

Hit incredibly hard by their selection of JK Dobbins, who might just come in and unseat him right from the start. My guess is Ingram holds onto ~60% his 2019 role, and the GL hammer in the league's top-scoring + run-heaviest offense will always have value. But his snaps could take a decent hit. Also, Ingram (who's had injury concerns in his career) will be in his 30-31 age season. Greg Roman's return helps stabilize his valueEmerged from the NFL Draft less scathed than anticipated. He might lose the job to Rookie Vaughn, but as of now Jones also could remain a three-down guy in one of the NFL's highest powered offenses.
