Lineups
Washington's idea of a passing offense was hard to watch last season and the scheme has to get better this year mostly because it can't get any worse. Scott Turner should help Haskins unlock some more of his play and McLaurin will benefit as his primary receiving weapon. In his rookie year, McLaurin had 58 catches for 919 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was a consistent downfield threat and finished with an impressive 15.8 yards per reception. Both second-year players, Haskins and McLaurin should continue to improve as they grow more accustomed to pro play and their strong chemistry will help them both succeed. The Ravens are going to throw the ball a lot more in 2020 - their rushing production is statistically unsustainable and it's unlikely they are playing with the lead in as many games as their schedule gets significantly harder. Lamar Jackson showed a solid chemistry with Marquise Brown last season and there is minimal competition for targets in the offense. Hollywood is a sophomore with WR1 upside who you can get as late as the 8th or 9th round in some leagues.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Despite having missed Week 4, McLaurin would've had a good chance to surpass 1,000 receiving yards as a rookie had a concussion not sidelined him for the season finale. He could benefit from new offensive coordinator Scott Turner's game plans involving more play-action passing than Washington ran under coordinator Kevin O'Connell in 2019.Brown's rookie year was bookended by a four-catch, 147-yard, two-touchdown effort in a season-opening blowout of Miami and a seven-catch, 126-yard game in Baltimore's home loss to Tennessee in the playoffs' Divisional Round. In between, he only twice surpassed 50 receiving yards in a game and only twice caught more than four passes in a game for the run-oriented Ravens.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Scary Terry McLaurin had an incredible debut season with 919 yards and 7 TDs in an awful offense with sub-standard QB play. While Dwayne Haskins is back, you'd have to expect some improvement in his passing while the improved supporting cast should also help F1. Hence weekly floor remains very low, as evidenced by his mid-season run of seven games under 10 fantasy points, but he has week winning upside and is a great Best Ball option. He's a risk/reward WR3 with strong weekly and seasonal upside if the Redskins can finally get their act together in the passing game.I won't be drafting Marquise Brown in any leagues outside Best Ball this year. His upside is massively capped by the way the Ravens run their offense and by his style as a mostly deep threat. While he'll have some massive games, he's equally likely to score you less than five points. In fact he failed to pass 23 yards in half of his starts. You can talk about injuries and regression all you like, I'll draft a guy I may at least have a chance of feeling comfortable starting.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
It was remarkable what McLaurin was able to do last year while playing on one of the worst teams in football. The disappointing part was that even though he saw 37.1 percent of his team's air yards (sixth in the NFL), he finished with just 93 targets. Knowing it's unlikely we see a big increase in pass attempts, it's hard for him to see an air yards number that is much higher. The reason we can be semi-optimistic with his targets is due to the lack of options around him. Kelvin Harmon and Paul Richardson are gone, along with the 86 targets they saw last year. In comes rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden, and veteran Dontrelle Inman, who was recently signed off the street. If we look at offensive coordinator Scott Turner's offense last year, you'll see it was very top-heavy when it came to the wide receivers, as D.J. Moore and Curtis Samuel both hit 106-plus targets. I can't say there's anyone else on this Washington receiver depth chart that deserves more than 75 targets. This could be very similar to A.J. Brown, where we're looking at a player who might get a 25 percent target share in his offense, even if it is a low volume one. The difference is that McLaurin's quarterback hasn't ever posted all-time great numbers, and it's unreasonable to expect that. Still, McLaurin can likely live up to low-end WR2 expectations, though getting him as your WR3 is the ideal scenario. He was coming off foot surgery last year, and it was the reason I was avoiding him in drafts. Same calendar year surgery on foot/ankle never goes well for pass catchers. Still, Brown went out there and played well the first two weeks, racking up 253 yards and two touchdowns over the first two weeks. Unfortunately, the injuries to his lower body added up as the year went on and his performances reflected that, as he topped 50 yards just once over the remaining 12 games he played. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has said Brown's "had a great offseason." Brown's schedule is great to start the year, too. In Weeks 2-5, he'll play against the Texans, Chiefs, Washington, and Bengals. The upside to Brown is a DeSean Jackson-like presence of someone who won't be a consistent WR1, but rather one you play as a WR2/3 who gives you "boom" potential on a weekly basis. However, if the Ravens don't up their pass attempts, it'll be hard figuring out when those booms will come. Relying on him as more than a WR3 this year would probably be a mistake, because there's not much evidence suggesting they'll throw the ball a lot more than they did in 2019.

TMC breaks 1,000 yards and becomes Washington's top guy this season. Love his potential

Potential to explode this season but QB play could send him into a sophomore slump. He's the only horse in town so McLaurin drafters should hope Steven Sims steps up.Perfect breakout candidate, a top WR3 target for all formats

Packer Report
In only 14 games last season, McLaurin racked up 919 receiving yards and seven TDs while playing with some truly terrible QB play. If Dwayne Haskins can progress in year two as the starter then we could see McLaurin as a top-24 WR. That being said, Haskins had some real struggles last year so that's something you have to consider. At a certain point, no matter how good a WR is, he needs a talented QB to get him the football.Brown had an up and down rookie season where he dealt with injuries but also showed real potential when at 100%. Now he enters year two in the NFL and should be completely healthy giving him a chance to be a terrific mid-round value. My only concern for Brown is how much the Ravens run the football, that could hurt him a few times but over 16 games it's not a reason to avoid him.

Terry McLaurin's 13.7 PPR FPG last year tied for 10th-most all-time with JuJu Smith-Schuster for any rookie WR drafted in the second round or later of the NFL draft. @GrahamBarfieldHollywood Brown is a massive value because of *where* he sees his targets. @GrahamBarfield

McLaurin was a revelation last season for people who drafted him in the last round or scooped him up off of waiver wires in week one. While he does have more competition for targets in 2020, he's the main option in this passing attack and is a guarantee to see over 120 targets. He's a value right now at his current ADP and would be a fantastic addition to your fantasy roster as a WR2/WR3.Unfortunately, Brown doesn't exactly play in the best offense to maximize his skills for fantasy football. He has the talent to be a top-24 WR, but the Ravens simply do not pass the ball enough for him to return value. He's a boom/bust play that's best plugged in as a WR3/FLEX option on a weekly basis.

Advanced metrics darling and near-backend WR2 producer as rookie was PFF's 6th-highest grade WR in 2019 despite ugly QB combo of Keenum, McCoy, Haskins

If you had to guess, who would you say was second on the team in targets? Chris Thompson with 58. He will not be without competition in 2020 but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. Terry saw 6.6 targets with Haskins for 34/500/2 in 8 games. A lot of change in 2020. Scott Turner is the new OC, was co-oc in Carolina where Carolina ranked second in attempts last year. Do bad teams tend to pass more? Probably, the Dolphins and Bengals were 6th and 7th. Will the Redskins be bad? I dunno. Lots of questions. The good news: He was the leading target getter at WR. The Bad: The Ravens were 32nd in attempts in 2019, meaning Marquise had 71 targets. I do believe he can be an elite deep threat, with plenty of opportunity to gash the defense when they cheat up to sop the run but that is a narrative versus the numbers that Baltimore is most likely to repeat. He did have the screw removed from his foot this offseason so hopefully he can stay healthy. I see him as a flex play with upside, but the upside is not the ceiling in this case.. There are big Trusses in the way

McLaurin was the lone bright spot in the Washington offense with 58 receptions for 919 yards and 7 receiving touchdowns. He should take a jump in his second year, especially if second-year QB Dwayne Haskins can also take a jump in his second year.
