FantasyPros
Having registered 2017's biggest passing play--a 97-yard TD reception--Smith-Schuster led all wideouts with 11.9 yards per target. His 9.6 standard PPG tied Stefon Diggs for 11th at WR, and that includes his zero-target NFL debut. Since so much of his success stemmed from big-play scores, he'll need a substantial rise in his 5.7 targets per game, which seems likely now that he'll spend the entire season as Pittsburgh's unquestioned No. 2 WR alongside Antonio Brown. Expect volume to meet efficiency for a strong sophomore encore.A stunning WR5, Jones submitted an NFL-high 18 yards per reception with the second-best DVAR behind Antonio Brown. He led the league in yards on contested catches (467) and posted a play of more than 20 yards in all but two contests. For all of these superlatives, he's also unlikely to sustain elite production with 3.8 catches per game. This could be a case, however, of a clear regression candidate turning into a value if he keeps falling beyond the fifth round.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
I like JuJu an awful lot - he just comes across as a big, sturdy, play-making wideout with plenty of swagger to his game - go back and watch him lay out CIN LB Burfict (and then taunt him) last December in Cincy - even playing opposite A. Brown, I expect JuJu to keep getting hisA premier deep-ball option, no player comes close to his combined mark of 17.5 yards per catch (min. 60 total receptions) over past two seasons - there's not much PPR upside to his game, but something around 1,000 yards and 6+ TDs remain well within his reach
Bobby Sylvester
FantasyPros
Despite missing two games with injury and not starting for half the season, JuJu was a monster. He posted over 900 yards with a 73.4% catch rate. He has WR1 upside if injuries plagued Brown, but with Antonio Brown, Le'Veon Bell and now James Washington to compete with, we might want to rethink his floor.Jones was a high-end WR1 in fantasy last year but is definitely due for some touchdown-rate regression. Even though he will take a big step backward, he should still be considered a WR2 worth adding in the 5th or 6th rounds.
Jody Smith
FantasyPros
Starting to creep back up my ranks after his momentum seems to have carried over into preseason. Was a top-10 fantasy WR last season but will he continue to see as many targets with Kenny Golladay and multiple running backs ready to contribute?
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
Fun fact: Smith-Schuster ranked 55th among wide receivers in targets per game. His 5.6 targets per game ranked behind guys like Kendall Wright and Danny Amendola. His 11.6 yards per target was the best among wide receivers with at least 25 targets, and in fact, it was the best in the last five years. He's going to regress there and the offense didn't change drastically from last year to this year, so seeing his targets make a huge jump is unlikely. We've seen the upside he presents, but that was his absolute ceiling given the opportunities he's capped at. You can't draft a wide receiver who ranked 55th in targets per game in the top-four rounds of your fantasy draft, you just can't. His highlight touchdown catch in the first preseason game is likely to bump him into the top four rounds, making him overvalued. After seeing 107 targets in 2017, Jones' incredible touchdown rate propped him all the way up to the WR5 in standard leagues. He caught a touchdown once every 11.9 targets, which is almost double the average rate for wide receivers, which stands at one every 22.8 targets. After scoring just four touchdowns the prior season in the same offense, you have to wonder just how sustainable his touchdown total is. On top of that, the Lions continue to hype up Kenny Golladay, who is another big-bodied wide receiver to take away some of those looks. Jones is a solid fantasy asset, but don't pay for last year's numbers. He averaged just 5.3 targets per game with Golladay in the lineup, but 9.8 targets per game when he was held out. He's going to have some big games, but he'll likely have to share the stage with Golladay at times.

The reaction I expect many of you to have when reading this next one: Reaches #18 on rankings. Adjusts glasses. Sees JuJu Smith-Schuster; LOL WUT? Well believe it! Smith-Schuster produced to the tune of the #18 RECEIVER last year! Nuts, I know. And with the sixth best catch rate in the NFL last year, and Martavis Bryant gone for good, JuJu has a firm grasp on the #2 receiver role in what is one of the most, if not THE most, potent offense in the NFL. Now, same as Antonio Brown, if Ben Roethlisberger goes down his value takes quite a dip, but with an expected slight boost in targets this year, Smith-Schuster should offer the same high floor and good upside last season's version produced.Typically known for his acrobatic catches, the Detroit Lions receiver had a fantastic season last year, ending shockingly as the #5 receiver in standard points leagues. That startlingly high level of production was buoyed by a very high nine total touchdowns, however there's reason to think Jones could post similar scoring rates this year. Jones was the go-to receiver in the red zone last year, earning 43% of the Lions red zone targets, good for 6th in the NFL, and on the other end of the field, Jones functioned primarily as the Lions deep threat receiver, granting him chunk yardage. While I don't expect the exact same prolific catch rates and TD production that catapulted him into the elite receiver tier given a couple key additions to the Lions' runnin back corps, don't be surprised if Jones ends the season among names like Thielen, Green, and Adams squarely within the top 10.
Chet Gresham
WalterFootball
Smith-Schuster is around 17 years old and still ate up the competition last season. He'll always be behind Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell in the pecking order, but he showed me enough to expect good things as the third option and at such a young age, I expect he'll just continue to improve.Jones isn't a PPR stud, but he sure was great on deep passes last season and finished as the fifth-best fantasy receiver in non-PPR and 11th in PPR. He'll have his inconsistencies as a home run hitter, but I think he's found a strong-armed quarterback to keep him in he fantasy points.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Bryant is gone so JuJu could blow up in 2018Jones has some competition for targets in DET and he's usually fairly TD dependent. I'm not enthralled with him this year

Huge boost to value following Bryant tradeJones showed us all a glimpse of his upside with Stafford
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Smith-Schuster averaged 10.3 fantasy points per game in his rookie season and he should be even better next year with a year in the offense under his belt. Jones was actually the 8th ranked fantasy wide receiver with 61 receptions for 1,101 yards and 9 touchdowns. He has a lot of talent and should at least be a WR2 in 2018, but the Lions will probably run the ball more in 2018.
