Zachary Hanshew
FantasyPros
Pittman Jr should be the Colts' No. 2 opposite T.Y. Hilton this season, and that could pay big dividends for fantasy managers. The 6-foot-4 wideout has plenty of appeal as a big-bodied red-zone target, and he could have a strong rookie season with Philip Rivers. Pittman Jr has received plenty of praise for the Colts' coaching staff this offseason, and if you have room on your bench, Pittman Jr should be on your radar ahead of Week 1.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Hardman came up four receptions shy of the minimum to qualify as the NFL's official leader in yards per reception as a rookie last season. With the Chiefs' restructuring of Sammy Watkins' contract and re-signing of Demarcus Robinson to a one-year, 2.3 million contract, Hardman's usage is unlikely to increase significantly in 2020.Not dynamic enough to be a No. 1 target, Pittman could carve out a role as a reliable underneath target for Indy QB Philip Rivers.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
Every year, fantasy experts latch onto young kids with great opportunities. Mecole Hardman was that guy last year and this year, he appears to be that guy again. The Chiefs offense will be explosive in 2020, but will Hardman have a role? The running backs should have a greater receiving role with CEH and Damien Williams back while Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill are the clear studs. Sammy Watkins is still the clear second receiver in KC, regardless of what some will have you believe, and that means you shouldn't break the bank for Hardman. His 11th round price is too rich for me, but he is a fine gamble if you're all set by then. There's a lot of Michael Pittman hype and I get it. He's going to be a starter in a strong Colts offense with the aggressive Philip Rivers at the helm. But let's be very clear, he's still a solid but average rookie who'll play well behind T.Y. Hilton and the run game. It's very hard to project him with 100 targets and that makes it hard to consider him a fantasy-relevant player. I'd be avoiding him this year but look forward to drafting him in the future.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
I understand the want to draft Hardman, I really do. But has the hype train gotten out of control? He's played four years of college and pro football, and here are his touch totals (most recent first): 30, 40, 33, and 0. He's been highly efficient on almost all of those touches, but at some point, you have to ask yourself why he's not getting more. Seriously, his efficiency last year was out of this world. Here are some stats for you from my 175 interesting facts from the 2019 football season article: - Among wide receivers who've seen at least 30 targets, Mecole Hardman's 13.1 yards per target ranks as the third-highest mark among wide receivers over the last 10 years. - Mecole Hardman averaged 2.77 PPR points per target in 2019, which ranked as the fourth-best mark among wide receivers over the last 10 years. Pretty nuts, right? I'm not arguing his efficiency at all. His performance last year was very Tyreek Hill-esque, and I could see him breaking out similarly to Hill, "if" Hill wasn't on the field with him. It certainly helps that the Chiefs are taking him off special teams to focus on offense, as that's the same thing they did with Hill a few years ago. Drafting him as a WR4/5 could be worth the reward but understand that he might be the No. 5 option in the passing game behind Hill, Travis Kelce, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and Sammy Watkins. For a team that hasn't thrown the ball more than 583 times in Andy Reid's entire time in Kansas City, that directly impacts Hardman, even if he is uber efficient. If he starts playing more snaps than Watkins, that's when you'll see me completely buy in.He's someone who rapidly moved up draft boards as the NFL Draft approached. The Colts liked him so much that they selected him over Jonathan Taylor (who they then traded up to get a few picks later), so it's clear they love Pittman. They did love Parris Campbell in last year's draft, too, so we can't go overboard. They said the plan is for Pittman to be the "X" receiver in the offense, which should present value with someone like Philip Rivers, who has zero issue throwing into tight coverage, especially when his receiver is 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds. This is your reminder that Mike Williams is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, while Vincent Jackson was 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds. These are wide receivers that Rivers targeted relentlessly. Mike Williams averaged just 2.0 yards of separation at target last year, the second-worst mark in football. Can Pittman make it into the starting lineup opening day? If so, Rivers could fall in love with his size, particularly in the red zone. He's worth a pick with one of your last few selections, as he's a dark horse to lead the team in receiving touchdowns.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Just like all Chiefs WRs not named Tyreek Hill, Hardman is going to be a boom or bust player here in 2020. He has blazing speed which helps but there just aren't enough targets to go around to make him a reliable weekly starter. That being said, if oft-injured Sammy Watkins goes down, Hardman would be a very enticing player to keep an eye on.Colts rookie WR, Michael Pittman finds himself in a fairly good position in Indianapolis with a legitimate shot to compete for the WR2 role. Parris Campbell will be stiff competition, but whichever one wins out will have fantasy value in 2020. I'm leaning towards Pittman being that guy.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Has the chance to make an immediate impact as a rookie as a downfield target for Phillip Rivers. His competition for targets is oft injured TY Hilton and Jack Doyle, and second year slot receiver Parris Campbell. Would not be shocked if he becomes a weekly starting option.

Mike Williams is 6'4", 220. Michael Pittman is 6'4", 223. Mike Williams two years ago was Rivers' RZ weapon. Last year he was Rivers' deep-ball threat. With T.Y. as a solid deep threat and Campbell as a fast slot option, Pittman could make an impact in the RZ right away.

Hardman's electric with the ball in his hands, but he simply doesn't see enough volume to be relevant for fantasy football. He's going to be battling it out with Watkins for targets this season, but he still may only be fourth on this team. Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and potentially even Clyde Edwards-Helaire should all see a significant amount of targets in this offense. Hardman can certainly take any play to the house, which makes him an intriguing FLEX play in certain matchups, but otherwise he's probably not going to be consistent enough to have weekly value.Michael Pittman Jr. may have fallen into the best landing spot for any WR in this class. T.Y Hilton is on the last year of his contract and Parris Campbell is more of a gadget player that won't command an incredible amount of targets. Pittman is going to receive all the targets he can handle and he has the talent level to be a top-24 fantasy WR within the next two seasons.

The separation he generated before the catch was crazy. And with the ball he easily ran away from 4.4 defenders. Made plays in the return game too. @KevinColePFF Hardman has only played the WR position for three years so far, two at UGA and one in KC, his progression has been dramatic.

Played a lot when Tyreek was out. And surprisingly very little with him back. HOWEVER. Demarcus Robinson is a FA and Sammy is thinking about chillin' out, and at the very least will be taking a pay cut. And Mecole's speed is absolutely a game changer if he gets onto the field more.

Still an incredibly explosive athlete who's role should keep evolving within the league's best pass attack
