Zachary Hanshew
FantasyPros
Pittman Jr should be the Colts' No. 2 opposite T.Y. Hilton this season, and that could pay big dividends for fantasy managers. The 6-foot-4 wideout has plenty of appeal as a big-bodied red-zone target, and he could have a strong rookie season with Philip Rivers. Pittman Jr has received plenty of praise for the Colts' coaching staff this offseason, and if you have room on your bench, Pittman Jr should be on your radar ahead of Week 1.
Dan Harris
FantasyPros
Jeffery wound up avoiding the PUP list, though he's unlikely to be able to suit up for at least the first game or two of the season. When healthy, Jeffery is an excellent fantasy option, capable of putting up WR2 numbers or better regularly. But coming off a Lisfranc injury, and with a checkered health history, it's hard to see him contributing all that much right out of the gate. With roster and IR spots at a premium this year, there's little reason to waste a draft pick on Jeffery until your starting roster is set.
Draft Engine
Draft Engine
Not dynamic enough to be a No. 1 target, Pittman could carve out a role as a reliable underneath target for Indy QB Philip Rivers.
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
There's a lot of Michael Pittman hype and I get it. He's going to be a starter in a strong Colts offense with the aggressive Philip Rivers at the helm. But let's be very clear, he's still a solid but average rookie who'll play well behind T.Y. Hilton and the run game. It's very hard to project him with 100 targets and that makes it hard to consider him a fantasy-relevant player. I'd be avoiding him this year but look forward to drafting him in the future. The Eagles receiving corps is a massive mess but Alshon Jeffery remains the nominal WR1. While that's good in theory, he's very difficult to draft as a 30-year-old who is massively injury prone and coming off a Lisfranc injury which could see him start the season in IR. The upside does exist though as Jeffery has averaged double-digit half-PPR points each of the last seven seasons and is the major big-bodied receiver on the outside in Philly. He's a nice late gamble but you should be dropping him in advance of Week 1 if he's no good and you don't have an IR slot.
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
He's someone who rapidly moved up draft boards as the NFL Draft approached. The Colts liked him so much that they selected him over Jonathan Taylor (who they then traded up to get a few picks later), so it's clear they love Pittman. They did love Parris Campbell in last year's draft, too, so we can't go overboard. They said the plan is for Pittman to be the "X" receiver in the offense, which should present value with someone like Philip Rivers, who has zero issue throwing into tight coverage, especially when his receiver is 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds. This is your reminder that Mike Williams is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, while Vincent Jackson was 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds. These are wide receivers that Rivers targeted relentlessly. Mike Williams averaged just 2.0 yards of separation at target last year, the second-worst mark in football. Can Pittman make it into the starting lineup opening day? If so, Rivers could fall in love with his size, particularly in the red zone. He's worth a pick with one of your last few selections, as he's a dark horse to lead the team in receiving touchdowns. What can we say at this point? It's more of a surprise to see him on the field than off the field. He's now missed 20 games over the last five seasons and appears set to start the year on the PUP list after undergoing Lisfranc surgery in mid-December. You'd think he'd be good to go by now, but with Jeffery, nothing is a given. You can't stash a player on your bench for six weeks in a year like this, though Jeffery does have appeal in best ball and leagues that'll allow you to place him on an IR slot. In his three years with the Eagles, Jeffery has managed to rack up 285 targets over 38 games, which amounts to 7.5 targets per game. That's led to WR2 or better numbers in 42.1 percent of games, which would've ranked as the No. 24 wide receiver in 2019. The Eagles don't have much wide receiver depth/talent, so once he comes back, he should walk back in to at least six targets per game and offer WR3 startability most weeks.
Elliot Berkovits
Packer Report
Colts rookie WR, Michael Pittman finds himself in a fairly good position in Indianapolis with a legitimate shot to compete for the WR2 role. Parris Campbell will be stiff competition, but whichever one wins out will have fantasy value in 2020. I'm leaning towards Pittman being that guy.Jeffrey played in only 10 games last year totaling 43 receptions, 490 yards, and four TDs. Now the Eagles have added first-rounder Jalen Reagor as well as John Hightower in this year's draft. Jeffrey's injury history and youth behind him have me nervous. He'll likely be a TD dependent WR who can only be played in favorable matchups.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Has the chance to make an immediate impact as a rookie as a downfield target for Phillip Rivers. His competition for targets is oft injured TY Hilton and Jack Doyle, and second year slot receiver Parris Campbell. Would not be shocked if he becomes a weekly starting option.
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Mike Williams is 6'4", 220. Michael Pittman is 6'4", 223. Mike Williams two years ago was Rivers' RZ weapon. Last year he was Rivers' deep-ball threat. With T.Y. as a solid deep threat and Campbell as a fast slot option, Pittman could make an impact in the RZ right away.
Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Michael Pittman Jr. may have fallen into the best landing spot for any WR in this class. T.Y Hilton is on the last year of his contract and Parris Campbell is more of a gadget player that won't command an incredible amount of targets. Pittman is going to receive all the targets he can handle and he has the talent level to be a top-24 fantasy WR within the next two seasons.Jeffery seems destined to start the 2020 season on the PUP list, unfortunately. With that being the case, Jeffery is nothing worth more than a stash if your league has an IR spot. If it doesn't, Jeffery should go straight to your waiver wire and you can attempt to pick him up later on. He does have upside when he's on the field, but at this point in his career, he may be more of a headache to own in fantasy than he's worth.
Wolf of Roto Street
Roto Street Journal
Tough surgery recovery awaits. Eagles added immense speed on the outside, which could actually make Alshon's life a whole lot easier working the short and intermediate sideline.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Do you really want to draft a WR that hasn't been over 850 yards since 2014, has only played 16 games twice in his career, is recovering from a Lisfranc injury, and relies on unreliable TDs for fantasy production at age 30?
