Pack to the Future
Barkley missed three games due to injury in 2019 and still managed to rush for over 1,000 yards and six TDs. Now, he's healthy and the focal point of what should be a better offense with Daniel Jones in his 2nd season as the starter.Behind Davante Adams, you won't find a safer WR than Michael Thomas. He's essentially a lock for 100 receptions and has improved his TD numbers scoring nine in each of the last two seasons. If you're looking to go WR in the first, you can't go wrong with Thomas.
Bart Wheeler
Hail to Fantasy Football
There's a clear top-3 group of RBs for me, but after that I'd consider Thomas (especially in full or half PPR formats).
Mike Tagliere
FantasyPros
After an extremely impressive rookie season, Barkley came back down to earth a bit in 2019, though 4.6 yards per carry behind that Giants offensive line is nothing to scoff at. Playing through injury was a clear net-negative to his overall numbers, and something he hopefully learned from. The biggest difference was breakaway runs of 15-plus yards, as Barkley rattled off 20 of them in his rookie season, but just nine of them in his sophomore season. With all the weapons in this offense, you have to wonder just how many targets Barkley will get, but trust me, the Giants are building their offense around him and not anyone else. If Daniel Jones can take a step forward in year two, it'll help open lanes for Barkley. It also doesn't hurt that they dramatically improved the offensive line this offseason. You know what the craziest thing about Thomas' 2019 season was? Among the top 40 single-game performances throughout the season, he had just one of them, yet he still finished as the No. 1 fantasy receiver by a massive 67.0 half-PPR points. You can argue that another receiver may finish No. 1, but you can't find a safer receiver atop of drafts.
Brandon Funston
The Athletic
If anyone can threaten CMC's 400-touch, 1000-rush yard, 1,000 rec. yard 2019 levels, it's Saquon, who has a new OC in J. Garrett who afforded E. Elliott elite volume in DALHas 70 more catches, 116 more receiving yards than any other player in NFL history thru their first 4 seasons
Jason Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
6th in FPPG last season even when playing through injury at times. That's probably his floor, especially with Jason Garrett in town now as an OC. Garrett was not afraid to feed Zeke on the ground and through the air in Dallas and will do the same in New York.149/1725/9 . . . while playing with a backup QB for a good chunk of the season. That's all you need to know.
Michael Petropoulos
BRoto Fantasy
Has a chance to be the new Zeke in a Jason Garrett offense. This may mean more pass catching opportunities on top of at least 15+ touches on the ground. Only good things coming this season.Tier of his own when comparing to other WRs. He is the alpha and clear #1.
Justin Dodds
Locked In Football
Nearly 200 targets and 150 receptions in 29 career games for Barkley nudges him past Elliot in either half or full PPR for me. Barkley will continue to be the focal point of the Giants offense this year.Last season, MT beat the WR2 by 67 fpts and 100 fpts in half PPR and PPR, respectively. Thomas lead over the next best in receptions by 45 and 28 in targets, all while also being without Drew Brees for nearly 6 full games. Expect this dominance to continue in 2020 as the Saints have added only Emmanuel Sanders to the offense, who currently isn't expected to be involved all that much being ECR WR45 in half PPR.
Derek Lofland
FantasyPros
Barkley missed 3 games in 2019, was limited in several others and played on a 4-12 team that was outscored by 110 points on the season. He still managed 1,441 yards from scrimmage and 8 touchdowns. A new coaching staff should only help his fantasy value and he should have elite RB1 value in 2020.Thomas broke Marvin Harrison's single-season reception record with 149 receptions in 2019. He also had 1,725 yards receiving and 9 receiving touchdowns, despite QB Drew Brees missing 5 games. Thomas is the best fantasy receiver in football, especially if Brees returns to New Orleans in 2020.
Kevin Wheeler
Draftwize

Kyle Yates
FantasyPros
Last season, we saw Barkley struggle due to an ankle injury. However, once he got fully healthy, we saw what he can do again in the fantasy playoffs. Barkley's arguably the best RB in the NFL and this offense flows through him. If you miss out on CMC, don't worry...you'll be just fine with Barkley.Michael Thomas just put up the best season for a WR of all time and there's very little reason to doubt that he could put up another dominant performance in 2020. Even when Drew Brees went down, MT was still dominant with Teddy Bridgewater. Thomas is clearly the WR1 in drafts this season and it's not even close. If you want to build your fantasy team around Thomas, you're not going to find any complaints here...
Ben Wasley
The Fantasy First Down
After a spectacular rookie season made him a popular No. 1 pick in 2019 fantasy drafts, Saquon Barkley disappointed a lot of people in an injury-riddled season that saw him average four fewer half-PPR points a game (when he played). That's no reason to drop him below RB2 though, as even disappointing Barkley was still pretty darn good. With Joe Judge in town, the Giants have openly committed to improving the run and they've backed that up with the drafting of Andrew Thomas, Matt Peart and a guard I really like, Shane Lemieux. Things are looking very good for a Barkley revival and I'm all about him as the No. 2 overall pick in 2020.There's a very good chance Michael Thomas won't repeat as the fantasy WR1 in 2020. In fact the WR1 hasn't repeated since 2014. But is anybody else more likely to top all receivers in 2020? Absolutely not! The reality is that it's really hard to consistently churn out league-winning fantasy performances but Michael Thomas is rightly the consensus WR1. You can safely take him anywhere between 1.03 in PPR and 1.06 in non-PPR without any complaints from me.
Seth Miller
Crossroads Fantasy Football
Averaging 117 receptions over his first 4 years. Not sure how you could rank him below 1 with Brees back.
